Well, I think Malaysia can be pretty happy to have such a big part of the tropical jungle. But of course, the country is modern, clean and a beautiful mixture of cultures and nature
Great video, guys!! you will definitely need to make a trip back to Malaysia and make sure to spend some more time in KL! I fell in love with Penang Island too and the country will always hold a special place in my heart :) Foods to try next time: roti canai (tastiest flaky pastry bread with curry), cendol (one of the best desserts ever!), otak otak (interesting steamed fish cake dish), laksa (coconut curry soup), char kway teow (for the noodle lover in you!). Places to visit in KL: Batu Caves (one of the most incredible temples I've ever been to! so breathtaking); KL Bird Park (so many species of birds!); KL EcoForest Park (rainforest in the middle of the city!); Islamic Arts Muesum (really beautiful paintings!) Like you mentioned in your video, I really fell in love with the eclectic mix of cultures from Chinese to Indian to local Malays - its helped create such a beautiful country!
What a beautiful comment!! Thank you so much. I will take notes on your tips 😁 in our Langkawi video, we have tried roti canai and it was delicious 😍 Yes, Malaysia has surprised us so much with it's cultural mix. So far we haven't seen it in another country yet. We send you greetings to wherever you are 😊
@@FeedingFoca You're very very welcome, i'm glad you liked my recommendations :) I'm based in the United States, but spent a couple of months volunteering at a cat beach sanctuary on Penang Island back in 2019 (and have visited KL twice now!). Seeing this video brought back so many memories of just how much I love Malaysia and need to go back haha. The Philippines is on my bucket list and I'm loving your new content on that country as well, can't wait to see the next one about your boat trip there :)
Of course and thanks for watching! It's called Zhang Lala Mee Tarik Restoran, it was really good, comparable to the ones we had in China! The second one is called Amber Chinese Muslim Restaurant, it was also very tasty, but we liked the first one more. I'll put Google Maps links of the restaurants in the descriptions. 😊
It's quite challenging to not get obese, hypertension, and diabetes in Malaysia. All the while you are just eating traditional home cooked meals with fresh ingredients, with balanced food groups, and no ultra-processed food. 😄
I have never heard of this one... Now, I checked and read about it. It is due to an ethnic group in Borneo that lived or still lives in stilts houses. And then people came up with Malaysians living on Top of the Trees. I am very sorry for this ignorance... With our videos, we want to show countries in their best, authentic and most beautiful way, to help educate and stop prejudices. I think in our time, with so much information, people should educate themselves instead of believing stereotypes 💛 we send lots of love 😊
