@8:50 I've been to CN Tower, on the Harbourfront right at the end of Yonge Street. We took the Subway and get off at the Union Station... and oh.. we have been to the Centre Island too. I love Canada and my time there studying in Toronto.
If people can afford it, and it is conveniently close by, then they can visit jalan alor. However, if you do not mind moving around the city, then people can try pudu, kampung baru or brickfields
@wattstraveling ICC pudu is where chinese food court is located. I hv been there. You can try various stalls there however I am a bit disappointed with the dim sum there. For dim sum better go to chinatown.
Kuala Lumpur is larger than the KLCC, Bukit Bintang, Petaling Street etc etc. There are so many places where you can find good street food! Local people do not normally live in these areas.
Hey guys… thanks for sharing your experiences! My family and I will be travelling through Malaysia for a month in July. It looks great! Regarding the flickering lights in your videos. Try this: Most of the world uses either a 50 Hz or a 60 Hz AC power supply: • 50 Hz: Common in most parts of the world, including Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. • 60 Hz: Primarily used in North America and parts of Latin America. When recording video, cameras have settings to adjust for these frequencies to prevent flickering in the video caused by the interaction of the camera’s shutter speed with the frequency of the electrical lighting. This flickering happens because the lights pulse at the frequency of the AC power supply (50 or 60 times per second), and if the camera’s capture rate doesn’t sync well with this, it captures the light in different phases of brightness, leading to flicker in the recorded video.
Jalan Alor is a tourist trap. You can find way better street food elsewhere. Its best to just explore around. You can find lots of hidden gem especially in the outskirts of KL. Some of the best places to eat are mostly packed with locals.
@@wattstraveling ah yes for convenience sake, sure. I think the one channel that covered our food quite well is a Japanese channel called iChang RM run by a popular Japanese couple in Malaysia. Lots of good tips of where to eat in their videos.
It's a good option for tourists although it's expensive because tourists won't be spending too long in KL and definitely not spending it hunting for food all over Klang Valley. So this place offers a wide range of local food.
As i'm a malaysian, Alor street is junk food and the hawkers are ripping the tourists all year round. My advise is broaden your horizen of food beverage hotels and etc. Be safe have a pleasent stay in Malaysia. Stay safe and be more meticulous when you travel. 😂
That's chinese jerky mainly consists of pork and always available all year especially during chinese new year. Actually Jalan Alor is for tourists and some of the food are not very local to be honest
Depends what you are comparing them too.....lol....definitely more expensive than Thailand 🤣🤣 I wouldn't pay 32CAD for 3 prawns I'll tell you that much. In Thailand the smoothies drinks are less than 1CAD.... here they are 3+CAD..... but cheaper than home for most things
Jalan Alor street foods are for tourists. 80-90% of the service staffs & business owners there are not Malaysia.😢 Get to know the locals, you can find out from them where to get a d genuine Malaysian foods.

You can get the best street foods in Jalan Alor if you know which restaurant to pick and chose. And i don't get it when some say the Alor street a tourists trap? I've been there many times, and i always enjoyed my meals there, and the prices were as stated in their menu. So don't let those few negative comments put you off when you're in Kuala Lumpur. The vibe and positive energy of Jalan Alor is just incredible. Enjoy!😅😊✌️
It's been a few times walk by the Muslim Chinese bakery shop but I haven't tried it yet because there are too many queues. Maybe one day I'll be waiting in line to get it.
Your video title is bullseye. Jalan Alor is more for tourist. KL residents will fire in the suburban or away from the CBD or touristy area like Bukit Bintang or Petaling Street@ Chinatown to enjoy their meal
Even tho it's touristy, I still like the vibe there and selection of food. ... but I understand it's more expensive. And the Chinese roti was DELISH! 👍
Jalan Alor just a tourist trap...the vendor or seller there not even a local...i dont know when this shitty place exist eventho I'm Malaysian lol...most of the time you 're gonna ripped off...tomorrow go to Pasar Malam Jalan TAR, Jalan TAR Night Market start from 5 in the evening until night...you can feel LOCAL VIBE there...

Interesting because there are only locals living in our building 👍 We've seen many places in Malaysia and it's beautiful!... and that goes for KLCC 👍
There are locals living in these areas but many are living away from the city centre because it's cheaper just like most cities.
