  • As quoted by this video’s case back cover: “The remarkable Buick Reatta is the ultimate “double-take” automobile, with two handcrafted models-the Coupe and the new Roadster. With two-passenger luxury and seductive lines that demand second looks. Reatta Coupe stirs the imagination with quality, style and performance that awaken passion for the road. Reatta Roadster gratifies those driven by emotion-those daring enough to turn the driving world inside out. This handcrafted two-seater restores your passion for simpler times when pride in craftsmanship reigned, and drivers went with their instincts and listened to their hearts.”

my brother restored a 90 or 91. had that nightmare touchscreen. so ahead of its time! a collector purchased it from him. I wish I had the money to snag that thing. would have looked great next to my first car, my 89 limited regal coupe! too bad for me the subframe dropped out on the highway and she was totally, totaled. I grew up in my dad's buick dealership and have so much respect for the buick of yesterday. not so much today. that new regal wagon is catching my eyes though! I couldn't get enough of the late 80s, early 90s riveria, t types, and park avenues! sorry for the novel, life story and such! but my dad bought my brother and I to the gm testing ground and drag raced gmc cyclones, grans nationals. stuff I'll never forget! christ, even sold 2 gmc typhoons to the Kennedy family, buick road masters to Robert DE Niro.

Thanks for the story, I grew up in my dad's Oldsmobile/Cadillac dealership. His dad & grandfather were in the car business, way back to Studebaker & Edsel

Hehe, I love those '87 to 93 cars too. There was the belief that Detroit could snag the top-luxury european brands with cars like the Reatta, the Cadillac Allanté and the Chrysler TC. Still, my admiration goes to Buick for refusing to half-build their halo-car abroad: they invested in raising the quality in American soil, something the others didn't bother to do.

Remember 160 horsepower FWD shit box designed to ferry old people to and from the golf course.
