Love hearing about new options for gentle exfoliation. When i was in my 30s I used to exfoliate w glycolic every night and a BHA every morning, a Paula’s Choice recc. I wasn’t using retinols or ascorbic acids so the rest of my skincare was pretty soothing. I still feel lucky I didn’t screw up my sensitive skin barrier back then. Luck not wisdom. There was no ordinary with a 25% peel, fortunately. Now that I’m in my 50s, post-menopause, I’m taking a very different approach. On the one hand, gentle is critical but I also want to use any possible collagen stimulating ingredients. I’ve been using a 10% glycolic 1x/wk at night and the other nights are for retinoids a/o ascorbic acid (or an active free night when I feel the beginning of irritation). Sometimes I want a little more so some mornings I’ve been using the Inkey list’s PHA toner (3% PHA, 3%B3). So far it’s been a really good balance.
Omg! That's an awful price jump. Ty for mentioning it! I remembered it being cheaper but couldn't remember what I paid for my original bottle back in 2020. I hate when brands get bought out and go public/get publicly traded. It's the death of the soul of the brand.
I've quite liked the Geek & Gorgeous Smooth Out. 10 % glycolic 2% lactic + humectants and calming ingredients. TO is my go to for the body tho, has been for years and I don't see that changing. Unless other brands come up with something in that price category. Not holding my breath. 😃
Perfect timing on this as I have recently discovered how much my skin likes Glycolic acid. I'm in my mid 50s. Thus far I've been using several GA products: Naturium's Smooth Out GA body wash and their GA 10% Serum, Neutrogena's GA toner, Drunk Elephant's TLC's Framboos GA Night Serum, and several GA body creams (Replenix, Drunk Elephant, Glytone) Also using Loreal's GA facial cleanser alongside other more gentle cleansers. Thinking about trying G&G's Smooth Out. I already have the Calm Down.
AHA/BHA broke havoc on my skin, so I only use it under my arms once a week. Helps with dark armpits as well as smell and sweat, which I don’t have a problem with as I always shave.
Oo the kinship is on sale I have wanted to try that . Did u see the cosrx snail cream in the tube is gonna be on the 21 days of beauty and the PL essense wish they put the new PL on the 21 days lol I'm pretty sure the Allies of skin is on BOGO including PSA .
I've actually found that a gentle glycolic acid works well. For the armpits the Kosas Chemistry AHA Deodorant is great~ and a bottle of it lasts forever! For knees and elbows a lot of people use The Ordinary Glycolic Toner or another similar product would work well. If that doesn't do the trick the Good Molecules Body Discoloration Serum is great as well.
@@NOBSBeauty thank you 😊 So far I've tried 3 products from Good Molecules ( Rose Water Gel Cleanser, Discoloration Serum and the Super Peptide Serum ) I love all 3. Thank you again 💓
Dermtlgy has a new SPF called day dream it's supose to be a waterproof sweat proof type and it comes in a pump jar like protini and they are having a 35% off bundle sale u click on 35 of bundles on the top and add what u want to the cart it's 30% off 2 and 3 is 35% off
Thank you! Great options I used the L’Oréal Glycolic 5% it’s pretty good I had no irritation not sure if I need it now with my tretnoin tho lol !!! I was using it with their retinol 🤍🤍🤍🤎🤎🤎🖤🖤🖤
If you HAD to choose just one, which one would it be?

Can you please recommend a 10% glycolic with a low ph. Thanks for a great content. Love your channel! 💓
Four years ago, the glycolic acid toner from the Ordinary was less than $7. Now it's $13.
Now they have a mini size that's about $7. Inflation or greed by Estee Lauder?!? 🤔
@@NOBSBeauty definitely the latter!

It's still the cheapest tho.
i know, an almost double price is so not okay, but its still shockingly cheap compared to most brands so im still thankful @@BiscuitsMom917
This is Gonna b so Good Sarah🔥🔥🔥👍n Happy Saturday😀….

Thanks ❤!! Definitely grabbing one of these 😊
Considering I douse my whole body in it, the ordinary is the best bang for my buck. I use the more expensive acids on my face tho.

Off topic but have you seen BOJ new serum?? Curious what everyone's thoughts are
Neutrogena has a good one too. 7% glycolic/citric acid .. It sometimes leaves the skin a little tacky though

I'd love your thoughts on a version of this with a lactic acid based round up! Glycolic acid makes me itchy 😅
Yay thank you!! Will be considering the innisfree since I finished my cosrx Aha/bha toner
Can you use a lesser AHA more often to get better results for smoothing, or do you have to go in with the higher % for that?
Thank you! I feel like The Ordinary Glycolic just isn't doing anything for me!
Thanks for the purito one. I prefer BHAs as an oily skin person

Glytone 19 pct free acid value body lotion is expensive! Wish I could find a toner at that strength for less money.
Psa mandelic heroine toner is lovely 😍 👌
Have you tried the YTTP Mandelic Acid Toner?
I ended up getting the inkeylist glycolic scalp instead of the ordinary glycolic. Hope I like it
Love to put glycolic acid on scalp, leave 5-10 min, then shampoo 🙃
What works for discoloration on your body ( armpits, knees, elbows ) Thank you

The Krave product, I believe, is pronounced like Hallelujah. But I could be wrong.🤔🤔🤷🤷🤷

Love the crave the beauty one
Heroine = Female Hero
Example:
• Superman = Hero
• Wonder Woman = Heroine
Thank you!! I have never heard anyone on RUclips pronounce this correctly!
Heroin= drug
It drives me crazy!!
Thank you
Good molecules burned me. Cosrx whitehead power liquid burned me too.😅😅😅😅😅😅
Glycolic acid burns my face 😮 I don't put it on my face. Lactic is more my speed.
Dermarest gel, 4 pct can't be used on large areas of the body. Salicylate poisoning.
There's a few ingredients like this out there. Lidocaine is another one. Wish more people were aware of it.
@@NOBSBeautyAre goddesses like you are created in a laboratory???
I need Babyfoot for the body instead of feet! 😂
