I love how in the first minute, amidst the calm ambient, this wall of a guitar sound just collapses onto you, burying you underneath. I keep coming back to this song for this feeling.
someone recommended this album to me when we were talking about shoegaze and i kept meaning to play it. one day while driving home from a doctors appointment i put it on and the second the the guitars hit i was floored. i wish i had put it on at home with my headphones but maybe i needed the cheering up most then. im so glad i found them
Ok, the story follows. Yesterday I took the train back from the sea to the city, was pretty high. Weather is gloomy, wind is piercing. Couple hours before I was looking for something to listen to on my way back, and I went with query "post metal shoegaze". I am more of a death metal person, but sometimes I want something dreamy, you know. And there was this article with "best albums", I've downloaded a couple. First album from list was kinda meh, and I switched to "Death Spells" by Holy Fawn. And damn was I blown away! It was juuuuust hitting the spot I needed. Listened to 6 songs, and ALL of them went to my collection. For me it's just nonsence :) Just the right amount of noisyness, dreamy vocals, trancey melodic lines, not exactly predictable song structures and note choices. This is VERY intriguing music, and I am so glad I found it. Thanks guys 🙏
Met these guys at the Rebel Lounge a while back, saw them a couple times there as well as a couple local venues. Talking to them, they’re great, humble dudes. And their music is on another level.
I think you have found your number one Italian fan. And I've found new musical geniuses. Really congratulations. I hope one day to see you live. Another example of REAL music. REAL.
So i was at the slayer show last night in phx and lamb of god decated a song to you guys so i had t o check you guy's out pretty good i will listen to you guys more come out with some new stuff soon
Guys this is the real shit. Been listening to black metal for 15 year. Post rock for 10. WILL GLADLY TRADE 90 PERCENT OF THAT SHIT FOR HOLY FAWN. Sorry but I can't overstate this enough. Holy Fawn is the real f'ing deal.
I just started listening to your music after an article I read, premonition of love is fantastic, and as a Deftones die hard I definitely got that reference from the first time I saw it lol
@@MiguelRamirez-cr7gh it has been at points! It's a toss up between that, Saturday Night Wrist and Self Titled but they're all fantastic! White Pony is an excellent album but it's a bit simpler, less complex and melodically subtle, so I can't listen to it as much. Generally my favourite albums are those that need a few listens to get - more reward, more staying power, less likely to get enough of! I'm in the minority - Diamond is my least favourite. To my ears, it's like Disney music compared to the others. Still far superior to most bands' best album though! As far as the song title goes, I'm a sucker for cool, non generic song names, and I think that is one! I've tried letting you know how to contact me with regards to getting my music to you, but it seems RUclips doesn't like email addresses in comments (even when you put spaces between each letter 🤐!) If you've got Facebook or Instagram shoot us a message there. If not, we'll figure something out! X
Woaaaaaah. Tom morello is aware of these dudes. Fuck yeah that is so awesome. They deserve allllll the recognition they've been getting the last few years
In the second time that I'm listening this song, I think that the mixer couldn't control the chaos that sounds from 4:45 to 5:54. It could have been a fastastic song if would not be a lot of "noises" in that section
@@gstrizzolo idk man I think the swirling feedback is kind of part of the sound. The vocalist is screaming for most of that section so it fits to my ears
@@gstrizzolo I agree. I usually listen to heavier music than this but I find it very hard to enjoy. I know it's probably part of the aesthetic and intended like this, but it's just too overbearing and noisy and it just stresses me out. I think they'll probably do a better in the future as they learn to write and orchestrate better and I think they already have done better on newer songs.
One day I was walking through thr beautiful peacefu-TOOOONNENEEEEEEEEE. The woods were ever green and there was a light rai-TONNNEEEEEE Anyways. This song got me through a real tough time in my life. Thanks all
I keep coming back to this song every few weeks. It's so good. Since I am actually listening to another genre, I don't know many bands that hit you with such an amazing wall of sound. Is there anything you could suggest to me? Thanks in advance! :)
This feels like being the highest you’ve ever been while feeling the lowest you’ve ever felt.
Yes
Me right now
me
me every other day

The first time I heard them was when they opened for Thrice. They opened with this song. Got my attention real quick
I too saw them with Thrice the other day. I was blown away. Love these guys so much!
yes!
One of the best songs I have heard in a long, long time. Incredible.
Powerful
it’s been a long time since a song has impressed me...
This song got me in the feels and has been on repeat
Some of the saddest, most beautifully overwrought art I've ever heard, in recent times and from ever beyond.
this song is still on constant repeat - nothing quite like it, pure majesty
I agree it’s been on repeat
Make it on repeat again
Holy Fawn makes me feel things I didn't know I was capable of feeling
Holy fawn needs to make more songs like this
Hard to top this
This and Candy are my top favorites! HF really takes you on a journey...
I fell asleep with Spotify playing and then Holy Fawn came up. I woke up to see who it was, it was so good. Holy Fawn woke me up.

went to a thrice show earlier this year and these guys were the opener, with this song being the first one they played.. it was a damn good show!
That's how I was first exposed to them. They blew me away as the opener. Awesome show
Saw them in Orlando and have not stopped listening to them since lol
Yes! I saw them in Columbus and I was blown away.
I was there for mewithoutYou but was impressed with these guys.....first time I ever heard them
found them as an opener for deafheaven this year, great shit
You guys need to do an AudioTree Session!!
HARD AGREE
FUCKING YES
Definitely!!
Would be incredible 😮
This noise is... Heaven.
this tone is nuts for Triple Crown, it's more metal than indie, and the vocals are in great contrast... this is fantastic, keep it up.
def check out their Realms EP too, way more dreamy and soft
*waves hand* this is not the pigeonhole you are looking for.
Onward and Upward “pigeonhole?
It’s shoegaze
@@JoshThewhiteDad far from straight up Shoegaze but I love that too.
Best band? Best band.
I just got here by listening Tool
tinta negra 601 hp I got here listening to Deftones.

I heard the first 30 seconds and I was in love. Listened to this whole album on repeat for about 19 hours worth of driving. Fuckin' amazing.
These guys are something so unique. Love the mood they create.
These guys are the best band i have heard in years. all their stuff is top notch.
your music makes me feel something that is rare. I can tell you feel the same thing when i see you play it. thank you for what you do
Holy Fawn are like the Norm Macdonald of music. I think other musicians like them more than anyone, just as comedians love Norm.
Met these guys at the Rebel Lounge a while back, saw them a couple times there as well as a couple local venues. Talking to them, they’re great, humble dudes. And their music is on another level.
These guys are awesome live.
Going to see them with Deafheaven next month 🙌🏼
Was there for deafheaven but holy fawn stole the show for me. Went and got their CD and sweater immediately after their set. Hooked
Incredible record and song. Came across this other day and it totally blew me away.
Yeah I came across them listening to Deftones.
So, I was listening a radio of Marriages in Spotify and this band came in, so it was really amazing! Great to hear good music! Cheers from Mexico!

Saw these guys last night. I absolutely love their sound. Gotta new fan right here.
I love how much Ryan Osterman has evolved over the 14 years I've been listening to his music. He was made for this music.

OMG this song is good. Never heard of these guys before. Already listened to it three times. LOL.
Love a bit of Holy Fawn, the intro to this song gets me every time but I have to say my favourite has to be "Yawning" from the Death Spells
Superb track, gave me the tingles when I checked it out on my show today. Cheers
Damn. Ty Tom for suggesting this. I dig it.
