T120 owner since 2018. Most reviews start with the style, but that was barely a factor for me. This bike sits in sweet spot of refinement, character, solidity, and comfort. It's fun cruising and picking the pace up a bit. It's ideal for that perfect, sunny Sunday. You nailed my only criticisms: headlight is poor, rear brake has too little bite. Otherwise, it's an extremely pleasant companion...never too hot or buzzy or hard to live with. It never gets in the way of a good time. I tested a lot of bikes before I made my decision, and I've yet to regret it once.
proud t120 rider here. i have 2022 goldline model with about 22k km on the clock (everyday rider) on city commutes. can concur on everything you said including the headlights, i wish it was brighter. But that's replacable with the motodemic, headlight as aftermarket, i plan to do that when my warranty ends. I don't think the honeymood period ever ends tbh. it's so good that i might even buy another one in 5 years, it's so versatille and classy.
Hi do you guys have any problems with buffeting on you wifes crash helmet? Been out a couple of times with wife on the back but the buffeting is causing her to get headaches. Anyone else experienced this ?
@@teapotwood2817 You need to work on your shifting. It used to happen to me and my wife when I was new. Been riding for 7 years now and my shifts have gotten a lot smoother, less head bumping. Also as she rides more she will get used to bracing for braking.
These newer generation “T”’s have something most bikes don’t. Character & soul. Owned 17 bikes in my 44 years of riding. Not ONE put a grin on my face like my 2018 T100 does.
I. Currently own a 2023 T120 with Norman Hide toga silencers sounds great this is my second T120 I also had a 2018 but I traded it in for a Harley road glide just too big a bike love the handling characteristics of the T120 great motorcycle still riding I’m 70 years old
visited a triumph motorcycle store years ago and my eyes got glued on this badboy! before i went there, i was excited to check the speedmaster but this bike just impressed me so much. the height, the built, and it's back! oh it's back is fakkin sexy! i was smitten, glad i got this one.
I used to have a T120, great bike. I’m getting a little older now, and just purchased a Moto Guzzi V7 850, I love this bike just as much, and don’t miss the extra hp. Shaft drive and huge gas tank are a plus!
💯 Agree! I just got one in November 2023 and it is awesome! I will only do a few mods, but I am transitioning to smaller lighter bikes, and this is more fun than my Goldwing which maybe next on the sales block.
Your review made me fall in love for this bike. I am riding a Honda CB500X and was thinking that when I will upgrade I will not turn to any bigger adv bike such as Transalp or Tenerè but I will switch a triumph modern classic.
Hoping that the new 400cc Triumphs will be affordable when they get here. There's bound to be some price mark up for the non Indian market (look at Royal Enfield). But they are getting rave reviews in India at the moment.
Been looking for a first bike, options I had were DRZ-400sm, XSR, MT-09, then I saw this and wow this bike is gorgeous. I’d drive speed limit on this and drive classy lol what do you think is the best bang for your buck if price doesn’t matter.
My gad, I think you just helped me find my soon to ride. Halos 4 years nako sa UK but just can't decide, from the svartpillen, to duke, to rebel 500, do ducati scrambler, may hindi tama e. And this one. The look, the seat height, the smooth ride, you review motorcycles a lot to trust you on this. This must be it, Thank you!
A useful video and observations, and thank you as it helped along with reviews of the T120 by others in my decision making process to purchase. Very enjoyable.
Man we are disagree on that I love night cruises , I’ll take the night shift every time, traffic is almost nil, it’s cooled off, guess I’m a vampire lol
It's Not a Fake carb. It is a real injector designed to replicate the original bike. The clue is in the description " Retro Bike" Would you paint the Mona L:isa totally black? So why do it to this work of art? Otherwise a nice review
Another amazing review, just finished watching your Triumph Scrambler 900 as well. I’m really interested in both, in your opinion which one was your number one choice if it was your money? T120 vs Scrambler 900. Take Care
Great bike. I have one (2022) but keeping on top of rust is an issue. At least in the UK where temperatures can vary by 50 degrees between the height of summer and winter. My crash bars are already corroding and I only ride this bike in the dry. Triumph have agreed to replace but parts seem to be 6 months behind at the moment. Other parts also starting to rust. Disappointing as they charge premium prices.
@@allanshort8264 I use to have the red and Chrome one. But was a bit lazy to clean and polish regularly. I like the Matt Black one I have now. So far I have no problems.
Any T120 owners in the Philippines here? Am planning on moving back there next year. Just wondering if I should get the T100 instead, what with the bad roads, no freeways, animals and tricycles on the road. Does one actually even get to use the sixth gear ever? still my dream bike though, so I still may not care...also, is that the out-the-door price, or dealers still tack on bs fees?
My wife’s just gone back to Manila for her daughters wedding. Anyway the T100 is more than enough for the Philippines. I have the T120. But if I lived there I would not buy one. Perhaps I would buy a T Max Yamaha Scooter if I lived there. Cheers NZ.
I have the T100. Was opting between the T120 and T100 but ended up with the T100 because they're basically the same just different engines, disc brakes and riding modes. It's more than enough for city riding and when on the expressway 5th gear is more than enough on high rev.

The jack of all trades bike. Plus the smile on your face while riding along with wifey

I have the Bonneville 900- 2023 model and yes it is the perfect machine
Well written video!
I own a 2020 t120 and I love it.
The only thing I can complain is the front breaks. My 2015 Bonnie serves me pretty well in every riding situation.
I recently got a speed twin 1200. Since then I think I saw hundreds of enthusiastic videos on the t120. I’m now doubting of my choice, damn internet 😂
Nah you did fine , speed twin is a great bike
I own a 2016 model,a great all rounder and an excellent tourer.

Leaving a comment here to come back once I buy myself a bike of this kind in the future. 🙌
One of the dream motorcycles for me

You should review a sportster too!!
Any heat issues during heavy traffic? any overheating warning? i would assume this has tubes because of the spoked wheels 😅
There are LED Auxlights that looks retro. Place it in the right places you won't ruin the Retro vibe
Pure Classic 💯
Pu-pogi Ka talaga 😅
How about engine heat ? , i found the small radiator is not enough to cool down the engine heat
Present Sir 🙋
Can you replace the pipes with shorties for that loud sound?
I'm looking forward for the triumph Speed 400 review next year
Man we are disagree on that I love night cruises , I’ll take the night shift every time, traffic is almost nil, it’s cooled off, guess I’m a vampire lol
I have a T120 in the UK and would like to tour round the Phillipines; can I bring it to the Phils or, get one there?
I had a 1965 T120. Weighed 165kg. Modern ones are about 100kg heavier. Why?
The reviews are topnotch, but sadly the website does not put in the correct information specially the specifications of the motorcycles
I like your naration

I will go for the T120 and add some scrambler touch to it such as, dual purpose tyres, high front fender and a handlebar riser 💪🏽
I want one!!
The tune is sick, bro❤ what is it called?

I’ve got the total black one. Is your one in the garage
@@johnmartin7158 yep, but that causes condensation. Will ACF50 it for winter. Think Black might be less prone to rust?
I have had 120 black since 2018. Under covers outside in SW England all year. No sign of rust yet

If no freeways, T100 should be more than enough. It has a better gas mileage too.

They say the t100 is more nimble and has a more refined fueling. It's a special engine, and the bike is a bit lighter.
Beautiful just get rid of the pea shooter pipes and get some killer exhaust cans on the back!
Whats the top speed?
That's the thing, a classic will not look out if date after 5-10 years. I don't see me selling my 2022 Scout ever.
Make one on speed twin 1200 please
I can't decide between this and the ducati nightshift.
We have exactly the same dilema!!! The nightshift appear to be funnier but the t120 more all-rounder.
