I don't see many comments on that Gulfstream... It stopped almost as soon as it touched the runway... Amazing!!!
I said "No way!" out loud when I saw that.
Yeah, that was only a couple of hundred feet...if that. Impressive.
I flew into Rhodes one time at night in a thunderstorm with the dimmed cabin lights on final approach the whole inside of the plane kept lighting up like some crazy horror movie,it was friggin awesome 😎
I can do this by myself 🤷♂️
Must be a former navy pilot
That shade throw at Ryan air 😂 “in perfect weather” hahaha
HA, thats what I came to comment😄
Well, Ryanair's typical taxi speed is Vs minus 20 knots, so maybe the pilots were just going for the rapid exit taxiway on runway 28 there. I refuse to fly on their flights because they have so many practices that prioritize speed over safety culture.
Their motto should be...."fly with us once, you'll never do again" ghastly airline.
It actually said GOOD weather, not perfect.
That first plane took off like the toy planes I used to play with when I was 3 years old
That RyanAir pilot will surely be getting a training session with Petter from Mentour. LOL
I hope thry don't screw up those 300 MAX 8'S
I know a recently qualified Ryanair pilot. Guys a head job...won't be flying with him anytime soon.
Ha. Love that channel too
😂
@@bastogne315 what do you mean?
The rarest line in Aviation history ever recorded was:-
"Going Around, Ryanair XXXX"
Actually the only flight (of a total of 250+) I went around on was with RyanAir who heroically tried to land in DUS while all other planes diverted. Needless to say after circling 20 minutes he tried again. At the end we all walked away.
Cos they've no fuel left???
Hey, flap retraction costs money. That electric current isn't free, you know.
@@bastogne315 Yeah..also coz their salaries don't allow them to, and their ticket prices..
@@bastogne315 In short- They can't _AFFORD_ to Go Around..
I'm from Porto Alegre, and oh boy do we get thunderstorms often.
You seriously can't go a week without one.
I'm jealous!
A number of years ago, I did a flight from Cincinnati, Ohio to Houston, Texas. The pilot warned us before we took off of expected turbulence along the entire route. We were 15 minutes out when the lightning show began and it ran continuously the entire way, nearly 3 hours. Thousands of flashes. It didn't stop until we were on the final approach to Houston.
Awesome to witness, from a safe distance! 🙃
I’m from South Florida originally and we rarely went a day without one during the summer.
That stormfront is eerily beautiful. I'd love to witness something like that from a plane.
Was on a west to east coast US flight a few years ago and caught something similar around Kansas - lightning flashed underneath for 10-15 minutes and I remember being really in awe
Ryanair pilot: "Perfect landing"
Loool even my kids know ryanair has the bad landings
That Ryanair landing is months old, it was during stormy weather so there was a strong crosswind, far from "good" weather.
maybe when you have a channel that has close to 400k subs you can beat everyone else to the punch
@@sillygoose5138 no need to be salty, but that clip was all over the place a few months ago, it's common knowledge
@@iamtechnoman Can I add it to my channel then?
… says Ryan Air Press Secretary 🤪
I feel like the Ryanair context was shady. 😂😂 "in good weather" 😂😂
The Ryanair pilot isn’t used to sunshine in Dublin. It blinded him.
So true
The 747 is a very impressive aircraft, but UPS sends one, and frequently a pair, of MD-11s to us each day from their hub in Louisville. What I wouldn't give to get a tour of those amazing airplanes!
this is the only vid that they have made that is exactly 3 mins long 😀

That 777x is insane - there's also a video out there of it doing a 90 degree bank angle.

That's from an airshow. The plane was empty ( light)

Thank you again for EXACTLY 3 Minutes of Aviation!
The last clip was absolutely terrifying...
It's beautiful. Very little danger to the plane.
It's actually very fun to watch. Had a great view of one from Chicago to LA years ago.
I saw one over india, it was insane!
No Aerosucrae. Did you know that Savannah International Airport has graves located in the runway?
‘Some 3,680 feet (1,120 m) from the west end of Runway 10 (the main east-west runway) are two concrete grave markers. A runway extension project placed the runway through a small family plot and the graves of the airport property's two original owners. Because the family did not want to remove and relocate the graves, the markers were placed on the asphalt runway.
Runway 10 is thought to be the only airport runway in the United States with marked gravestones in it. Federal law generally prohibits the moving of a grave without the permission of the next of kin. In this case, two graves of the Dotson Family, the earliest grave dating backed to 1857, were encountered during the construction of the runway. Since the next of kin could not be located, the graves were left undisturbed. Two additional graves are located off the runway surface.’
very interesting stuff
i'm preety sure the bodies still wont be disturbed with the jet engines noises though
That brand Boeing 777-9X was just a smooth take off using the strong 2 world powerful engine.
3 min I'm glad I spent watching!
Another great one!❤
wow. thanks again!! :)
Sukhoi: "Muh Cobra maneuver is the best!"
777: "LOL! Please fasten your seatbelts, and return your tray tables to their full upright and locked positions...tovarisch!"
Another successful landing from Ryan Air.
Ryan air loves to pound um in the runway! Lol!
‘Almost vertically’ and not ‘too steep’. You are making progress! Go on like this and I may subscribe.
“Almost vertically” meaning, like, *maybe* 40 degrees. So still inaccurate.
That 777x is so amazing! Boeing aircraft are amazing planes!
Yeah, not like that Airbus crap that can hardly get into the air and no one uses.
and that airbus crap that is fully certified... ;-)
@@phildane7411 My boy is talking about the 787 and 737 Max. As far as I concern, the A320 NEO was never grounded like a similar jet from the American company

Great video!😸
Holy Moly out of all of them I think the one I'd least prefer to be in is over the embedded thunderstorm. That's going to be rough.

Your video is very cool, dude ))
Just another day at Ryan Air
Love the Light show, had a day like that in my Mooney few weeks back, good visuals and a reminder to not be a dumby.
110,000 lbs of thrust!? Holy shit I did not know that. That is insane!
The engines fitted to the 777X are not the most powerful: the GE90115 fitted to the previous variants of the 777 is at 115,000 pounds force. The 777X has a more efficient and bigger wing so needs less powerful engines (even though maximum take off weights are higher).
When my American Airbus A319 took off from St Thomas' Cyril King Airport on Saturday, it FELT like it was going vertical! It was the first time a take-off ever gave me vertigo.
Nice
Back in the late 60’s my uncle was driving to Detroit on the freeway north of the Detroit airport. All of a sudden he noticed that a bolt had fallen from the sky and bounced on the car’s hood and fell off. There were no vehicles near him but a plane had taken off from the airport and was flying over him.
Is that Boeing 777X was filmed at Farnborough ?
It was indeed! You can check out the link in the description to see the original video. Cheers!
@@3MinutesofAviation Thank you 🙂
The vertical climb is a simple maneuver manufactures use to " impress" buyers.
Why you would call landing in 15+ knots of possibly gusty crosswind as "good weather" is rather interesting....
15 knots x-wind is good weather.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 I said 15+. The + means it was over 15 knots. Is 30 knots still good weather? Anyway....
@@WetterFlug I know what you meant with the +. But then why not say 1+?
When one says 15+, the lowest of that range, being 15, would be considered no longer “good weather” in your opinion.
But, I’m not arguing. If you feel 15 knots is the start of no longer good weather, that’s ok and 100% acceptable.
the tire shriek at 1:42 is something i never heard in my life, perhaps tire sound are louder than engine
Ryanair doing what it always does.
WOWZERS at the footage of that Storm near the GOL 737! No doubt the Pilot was glad to not have to go through That "Car Wash"🤣 As always, Great sequences and situations From The Skies Of 3MOA! Cheers From The Clouds In Ohio To ALL🤟
That Ryan Air.......LOL!!!
Those Ryan air Boeing 737s have to be built tough to take all those runway poundings! Lol. Go Boeing!!
I was flying that day of the Ryanair landing.. It was absolutely not good weather. The wind was gusting up to 50kts
Ooh, that Ryanair landing was harsh.
My guy reacted to a go around as if he witnessed a UFO
The Ryanair flight did look like he caught a gust, rather than pilot induced oscillations
The gulfstream has got screens with a built-in camera that shows the runway 🤔

So, in other words, a typical RyanAir landing...
As always, a fantastic video! That said, I’m quite certain that the GE90-115B remains the most powerful commercial jet engine in service - rated at 115,300 lbs (127,900 lbs tested) of static thrust.
That is correct according to GE
That isn't quite correct as in later tests, it was confirmed that the GE9X has rated at about 134,000 lbs of thrust, surpassing the GE90-115B.
@@Owlventure_Aviation Sorry, I've checked again, and I was mistaken, the GE9X has surpassed the GE90. You are right.
@@Owlventure_Aviation that is correct, yes. Thanks for pointing it out. However, in everyday ops, the -115B still commands more actual thrust than its successor.
that ryanair landing was quite rough
We got that extra one second of aviation 🥳
This by far is way better than any review when deciding which airline to NOT ever use. We see certain names way too often on this channel. Note to self… never use any airline that rhymes with Lion Pear.
Right because why would you use an airline that, while having some of the highest number of flights of any airline in the world, has never had a single accident in its 38 years of existence
Are you aware of probability and averages? Ryanair has a fleet of 542 aircraft, with about 2860 flights PER DAY. There’s a reason why some airlines seem “over-represented” in these videos. Can you work out what that is or do I need to explain further...?
Based on your apparent metric, I would say “don’t use Boeing” as what the 777 is unnecessary for passenger transport aircraft
@@marspp “ Are you aware” this is RUclips and not a very serious site? Your comment is quite condescending considering my comment is clearly an off hand and lame joke. Asking me if I “need to work something out” makes you feel witty and smart? Couldn’t resist trying to show your superior aviation safely knowledge and mastery of statistics to boost your ego huh? Want to be serious about the topic? Ryanair doesn’t even fly in my country because it can’t afford to ,,,making my comment even more of a joke…. A bad joke but a joke just the same. But let’s move on . I’ll bite and be serious for a moment. You say Ryanair has a fleet of 542 aircraft with 2900 flights per day. I’m no wizard but this can only equate to Ryanair being a regional carrier ( clearly because they don’t operate in the US). Just rough math tells me each plane is making super short runs taking off and landing just under 6 times per day? “Statistically” when do most aviation mishaps occur? Pretty sure it’s on take offs and landings but you can look it up if you want to. Take offs and landing also cause the most fatigue on an airframe while going through pressurizing and depressurizing half a dozen times a day will also age the plane faster. At any given time, 10-20% of a fleet is being maintained or undergoing mandatory inspections and rebuilds making this fleet of 542 a lot smaller in reality as far as daily use. I guess when it comes to “probability” you just probably ensured if I ever was outside the US, I’d never touch Ryanair. Your comment about the 777, ok. It’s just as useless as a 380 anymore. A 777 would be incredibly useless to a regional short hauler like Ryanair. It would be like a pizza driver using a full size semi to deliver pizzas around the block. I digress, you may now go back to bullying strangers on RUclips to build self worth.
@@fortyfour6626 wanted to read the stuff above but gave up after 4-5 lines...you need to insert spaces between couple of lines also called paragraphs. this makes reading convenient especially if it's long text...

Nit: isn’t the GE90 the most powerful at 115000lb?
GE9X is rated for 110, so technically yes the GE90 is rated for more power, however, the GE9X holds the world record at 134,300
That 777 levitated into the air
Reminds me of how bumble bees take off vibrations
Lots of thrust on that 777, but the -300 has 115k pounds of thrust per side on the CFM engines, slightly more than this one.
Technically the GE9X isn't the most powerful, as it is slightly weaker than its predecessor GE90-115B. The wing improvements etc mean that the total thrust was actually able to be reduced, improving fuel efficiency.
Check, the Chinese bolts in the engine mounts work😮
**Rare footage of the smoothest RyanAir landing circa 2023 colorized**
Uncoordinated and Ryanair, go together!!
Love the videos...keep them coming. That being said....nearly vertical? AS USUAL, just hyperbole. Maybe 35 degrees MAX. Vertical means: perpendicular to the plane of the horizon or to a primary axis." That's 90 degrees straight up. C'mon....almost clickbait, imho.

can you imagine being in that Ryanair as it touched down? you could hear the impact. i will never fly Ryanair.
Well, 55 degree takeoff angle is not quite 90 degrees and thus "almost vertically" in your logic it seems. Its like saying 60 °C water is almost boiling....its not.
It’s not even at 55°. More or less around 30°
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 its definitely more than 30, you can tell on the video that shows it from the side. It doesnt last long tho
@@AnnicK.Zoloft oh ok. I didn’t see that angle. I assumed they wouldn’t go beyond 30°, since that’s considered aerobatics. But I was wrong.

Gulffstream was cool
The UPS flight at 1:20 is from a game 💀💀💀💀
Actually the GE9X is not the most powerful commercial jet engine, that title is still held by it’s predecessor the GE90-115b
The 115 in it’s name refers to 115 000lbs of max takeoff thrust
The GE9X is the most powerful commercial engine as in later tests of the engine, it was found to have surpassed 134,000 lbs on thrust, deeming it as the most powerful commercial jet engine.
@@Owlventure_Aviation that’s not a safe number though, that’s extreme, past it’s operational window, 110 000 as the clip was posted is the top operational thrust figure.
The 115b held the world record at 122000lbs but that figure was achieved by error, the GE9x was run up to 134 000 on purpose so no one actually knows what the 115b will do if pushed, so STFU
