I saw that truck on marketplace a few weeks ago.
My buddies dad had the same issues with his starter. Ended up taking the shims out and the casting on the block needed a spot sanded down so the starter would sit flush on the block!

Hey with that truck being a 1997 and being switch over to a straight carb engine i was just curious when you go for an inspection are still going to be able ro pass just curious because i come from western new your and if i had it i know it will not pass inspection being switched over like that like i said just curious seeing this video for the first time my friends nice truck by the way always loved those 1990s and older models peace 😁👍

Nah, you're good. It's just a rev limiter that we set just below the stall speed of the converter.
Are you sure that's a 1997? Cause In 1997 Gm's trucks were all fuel injection

I planned to ship the kit tomorrow when I drop off some other parts that I'm returning at the post office. Just gonna send it to snidertrons PO box if that's cool. Hey bro I have a 1993 Chevy 1500 350 sbc and I have a speed limiter and I wanna remove that but people say I need a chit that tuned to take off the limiter but no one does chip tunes so do you have any advice on removing my speed limiter ?
Hmm. Not really sure on that one. I'd start with checking the forums. Lots of knowledge on tap there
