The Ibex Grand Slam in Spain consists of hunting the four Iberian subspecies of the European Ibex. They are completely wild and free roaming in forested mountains, national parks, etc. Some are at very high altitude like the Gredos which was the first trophy taken, often found at 2,000 metres or 7,000+ ft and higher. The four regions and species are: Gredos mountains/Gredos Ibex in central Spain, Sierra Nevada Ibex/Sierra Nevada mountains in Andalucía, southern Spain, Ronda Ibex from the Ronda province also in Andalucía and the Beceite Ibex in eastern/central east region of the peninsula. All four are different subspecies. As far as I am aware the challenge consists of hunting and taking a trophy from each one of the subspecies in a determined matter of days while also having to travel for a few hours or longer from one region to the next. I've heard some say the challenge is 4 days, 1 day per trophy/travel and I've heard others say you get more like a whole week. I wouldn't really know because I've never hunted the game.
The spanish Ibex (cabra montesa) used to have 3 predators (spanish lynx, iberian wolf & Spanish brown bear) in the region of Gredos, where they are hunting. Since those predators are extinct in that area, and almost extinct in the rest of Spain, their population has become unsustainable. They basically kill the environment cause it is impossible to have 30K sheep in a place with food for 5K.
This video had to be the inspiration for the new update of theHunter Call of the Wild.
It could be

We need end the extinction!
I actually thought that when I saw the second hunt. It's wild.
Wonderful photography. The Spanish countryside is gorgeous.

I think ibex is almost extinct? Why did you hunting something like this then?!
Im the 666th viewer. Lol. Weird.
you should not have taken the last shot. No respect for the animal. Another billy was just behind the one who was hit. Bad hunter
Yes, and when he shot the 2nd time at the one he missed, he might have shot over the hill.
I dont understand this is okay? Ive seen prior Experience vids where hunting is okay bc some animals overgraze the land. But here, why?
It’s part of conservation
John Cajahuaringa I think the ibex do something bad to other animals somehow I don’t know if that’s real though
