    I made this today! I left my dried beans soaking while I was at work. I came home and then assembled everything. I didn't have allspice, but I used cinnamon instead.
    It's a wonderful dinner. Easy but delicious.

    hello! I see that you use 1 cup of rice but can you tell me how much water did you added? Also, did you cook it without the lid on a low fire? thanks in advance

    • @WhaToCook
      @WhaToCook  6 лет назад +1

      For starters I added 2 cups of rice. You may need to add more until the rice is cooked. I cooked the rice without covering the pot. When the rice is almost cooked, low down the fire.

    Can you please tell me what kind of oil you use? Is it vegetable oil? Canola oil? Olive oil? Coconut oil? Peanut oil? Just saying “oil” doesn’t explain much!! I tried combining my black beans and rice into same pan with olive oil and it burnt my rice 😞

    How do you get it to shape on a plate like that?

    • @WhaToCook
      @WhaToCook  5 лет назад +1

      I just put some of the rice in a small bowl, press it down a bit. Put the plate over it and turn it over. The rice comes out easily and in that round shape. It's quite fun to do.

    •  5 лет назад +1

      @@WhaToCook oh! Ok i was just confused at first because i seen rice like that at a Dominican Republic (not Dominica) restaurant it was just weird to me as how do they get it shaped like that on the plate (lol)
