A 2k resolution means a horizontal resolution of 2000 pixels, for example a 2400×1080 and anything with a horizontal resolution of 2000 is still considered 2k. A 1440p is way different because it's a specific resolution, on a standard monitor of a 16:9 ratio it is 2560×1440.
No it is not. A 4k display is extremely close to 4000 horizontal pixels being at 3840 whereas a 1440p display has 2560 horizontal pixels which is not even close to 2000 that a 2k display implies. The term 2k describes a display that is approximately 2000 pixels horizontally but how is 1440p 2000 pixels approximately? It is literally 560 more which is way off the "approximately" category. 2k is literally closer to 1080p than 1440p with 1080p only being 80 pixels off and 1440p being 560 so if we were to call a resolution 2k then it would make way more sense for it to be 1080p rather than 1440p.

@twisterrrrr I mean, if you want to professionally stream, you might want a second pc. Doesn't have to be all that powerful, like a 1660 is good enough. It's not necessary. it's just better. You can definitely stream and game on 1 device. the only issue is latency. Imagine your graphics card trying to game and encode for the stream at the same time it wouldn't know which task to focus on and since it's doing more than 1 thing at a single time you'll experice some sort of delay like your playing on 10-150ping. @Marcos Boero But the rtx 4090 even at ultra graphics at 1080p is not worth it, the gpu is not going to give the maximum framerate because is not being used at his 80 or 99%

The monitor resolution would bottleneck the CPU because it would have to tell the GPU to make a image then the GPU would immediately be done and the CPU would be way too slow for it
8k is bs. It’s about 16 times more pixels than 4k. This means that the minimum length of a display with such a resolution would be the size of a big plasma TV. At that point, 4k 32 inch would look the same because the pixel density is really small.

@@Alharbi-lf3ss yo thanks for the info bro. I'm using a i7 8700k now with a gtx 1080. I bought this pc in 2018 and havent upgraded since, I wanted a system that is future proof and I like streaming/gaming/editing on multiple monitors so I thought the 13th gen 19 and rtx 4090 would be the best bet. Is it that much overkill?? (I want to upgrade this month because my gtx1080 is starting to slow down, like its struggling to run hogwarts legacy lmao)
It depends really on what you're playing and what settings you are streaming on. Tbh, if you have the money, just go full send since the gpu market is about to go to shit or potentially go to shit cuz ai.
@@Alharbi-lf3ss thanks bro! Great answer and information appreciate it
@@Alharbi-lf3ss Yo, I did go fullsend after your advice and I've been using a 13900ks with a rtx4090 for a week now it's really nice. I did notice that the card was wayy overkill for 1080 (like you said) so I ordered a samsung odyssey neo g7.
Just wanted to update, thanks for the help again man!
60 fps or smooth 240 fps with 130% image rendering, hmm... Really a very difficult choice

1080p and 1440p/2k monitors are cheaper than 8k/4k monitors ngl
And most 1440p monitors under $700 have reviews about them falling apart or constant failures, etc. Every time I go to upgrade my monitors I just think... "Know what? I have VR. I want a bigger screen, I'll just use that. Not taking a chance on a $300-$500 monitor failing after 90 days."

Играешь в 8к в 30 фпс. Боярин с монитором в 1080р 240 герц наслаждается плавностью картинки.
В итоге из-за отсутствия плавности ты свои 8К видишь только в статике...

8k is bs. It’s about 16 times more pixels than 4k. This means that the minimum length of a display with such a resolution would be the size of a big plasma TV. At that point, 4k 32 inch would look the same because the pixel density is really small.
