  • UPDATE! The U.S version will have 200 hp and will not have the electric push button gear, selector. This is the new 11th Gen Honda Civic Hybrid in Europe! This should be very similar to the 2025 Civic Hybrid for the U.S market. Both are powered by a 2 L Atkinson engine with dual electric motors in the U.S putting out approximately 200 hp and able to achieve over 50 miles per gallon I'm so excited to film and drive this new hybrid. Here is my review and the differences between the U.S version non hybrid and this Euro spec. Including HorsePower, features new tech and driving.
Thank You for watching, Liking and Subscribing. More Honda reviews and events coming from all over the planet.

The EU Model will also get a adaptive light system with cornering lights (it's in the same place as the orange side markers in the US model, so technically there will be never cornering lights for the US in the 11th gen)

I’ll be first in line to buy the new HR-V in the US once it gets this hybrid system, and I mean that literally. We were all set to turn in my girl’s leased Jetta for the HR-V as soon as it launched, but we assumed it would have the 1.5T. Once we found out it had the 2.0, we bought out the Jetta’s lease and now we’re keeping that car for her until the Hybrid HR-V is released. I’m certainly disappointed that we have to wait but I’m still super excited to eventually get one. It’s the perfect car to compliment my ‘18 WRX in our garage (which I’ll be keeping until there’s an hybrid version available as well). It will make for a very versatile pair of cars to raise our kid.

Dude, you got some things wrong. (184Hp & 232lb-ft) are the power figures of the single electric motor. The 2.0L petrol engine develops 143Hp & 137lb-ft of torque. Also the car does not have a transmission, not even a CVT one, It's the electric motor that drives the car and the petrol engine acts as a generator, while in some cases can add to the electric motor driving the car through a special coupling. The gear changes that you feel when driving the car are just software programmed into the electric motor.

How is the reliability of the IMA system on Honda's newer Hybrids? The 1st and 2nd gen HCH were hot garbage and went against everything I had known Honda for (reliable and easy maintenance). I thought all Honda Hybrids switched over the Lithium battery tech in the early 2010s, but was surprised to see NiMH still used on Insights into the late 2010s and maybe into 2020. Just curious if these will be decent cars in 10 or even 20 years. The Prius managed to do well with the same NiMH battery tech, easily reaching EOL in 2x the timespan, or longer, than the 1st and 2nd gen HCH, so I guess we'll see how these newer generations pan out.
