How on Earth (pun not intended) could a magnetic reversal cool the planet down to temperatures even lower than those of the cosmos? Remember, Earth has an atmosphere that stores the heat from the sun (some kinetic energy within the molecules will always be present. Even if it is freezing out there, it will still be warmer on Earth than in space). Is this movie even trying?

What if this galaxy was actually inside a black hole? sucked in there a long time ago? maybe we are all tightly squeezed without knowing it because it has allways been like that. maybe that black hole we where sucked into is inside another galaxy which also have been sucked up by a black hole. phew. theories :D

Our galaxy orbit a super massive black hole... we can't be inside one for an obvious reason, we wouldn't be able to see anything in space due to the gravitational force and the lensing the black hole would do. Oh, we would all be demolecularised down to the atom level or even tachion level. That was a good theory tough.
