Very nice recam and great speedrun! It's great to see the names of the players like this as well. It would've been nice to see Clouder in one of the runs, but maybe this has been long in the works before he took the new WRs? Edit: read the description of the POV version and this has been in the making for 2 years?! Holy hell. Not just some side project then. Congrats on this great achievement!
Wow what a movie! The editing is as top tier as the runs! I hope they enjoyed the runs enough to consider hundo one day, would love to see the creative routing!
Its like I'm getting a review of all the maps n tricks I've seen throughout your videos. Love it. Not many games will get this level of longevity and community involvement in my opinion. Really makes this special.
Incredible teamwork and incredible editing! I can't even imagine how long it took to recam all that, but your dedication is commendable. If anyone wants to watch an old school noob play some Quake nowhere near this skill level, I just finished my series on it, lol.
Absolutely, totally awesome work, man! Superb runs - kudos to you and all of the other runners! And really nice recam, even if the action is crazy no matter what. Thank you! One quick question tho: wasn't it viable to finish 'end' (aka "Shub's Pit... time to quit..." HAHAHA... that qmovie never gets old :D) faster by hovering near the ceiling, like Jukebox did it in 16 seconds individually? I know - probably category restrictions - but what exactly? Seems like a waste this exit is not used.
I'm curious: the damage boosts etc. are cool, but how many levels did co-op make serious route-based shortcuts possible for? Edit: Not a rhetorical question by the way. Everything went so quickly that I couldn't tell.
A few levels are essential the single-player route with added boosts, but the majority of maps contain new tricks and routes that are only possible with 2 players :)
That was amazing, was hard to keep track of everything going on. I would love to have these Quake Speedruns Explained! :P
Player commentary is coming soon :)
That 2-player rocket jump over Cthon is one of the most stylish things I've ever seen.
Gentlemen, this game is almost 30 years old. that's fucking awesome
so much work to recam it all, Connor you are a legend
Awesome video for Quake's 28th birthday :)
Excuse me sir, I come here to have my Quake Speedruns Explained 😡
(❤)
A (very!) detailed explanation video is coming soon :)
man i wonder what a 100% nightmare run eould look like

Co-op Quake...the movie? Wouldn't it be funny if this was some kind of machinima of two Rangers arguing who gets the lightning gun?
Oh man, reminds me of being young again and downloading those Quake movies that were machinima.
"No but what gender are you?"
"Righteous"
"I mean...what's in your pants?"
"Lightning gun"
Man I hope it was a lot of fun to get theese runs.
Im actually suprised to see some of the tricks used.

that e1m7 shot looked amazing, love it
Very cool. I'd always wanted to see this done.
amazing work Connor, you are really recam pro!!
Could only imagine the time it took to do recam work for all of this, beautiful work.

1:58 is one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
That is just...insane

This was such a great watch. I really hope you do a longer break down of it, even if you have to do multiple videos to get through it all!
This is absolutely sick, what a cool idea!
Excellent recam work, Connor. Tip of the hat to you. 🙂
Awesome work guys, great editing as well! Probably my favourite😊
Amazing!!! A true epic run of the game!
The transcript of this video is pretty wild
huh huh huh
BRB, just going to complete Quake with a mate, back in 15 minutes.
Come on, play already :D 32 hours
Hapi 28th Quake!!!!
Beautiful

Beautiful! Also at 10:40 o.o that's comical!
This is so awesome!
Awesome stuff
Awesome stuff!
After all these years still cannot believe how stupid Quake 1 bosses are.
Good job guys
exaiting
The movements just seem impossible. Nice video of some insane team optimization here.
10:26 so satisfying

That weird trigger-exit is not accepted for full-game runs and projects. You have to 'finish' the game properly and kill Shub :)
Holy Shit.

epic
the movie???!
yes
wtf some of the times :)
mostly played sound "hu hu" did anybody try to count how many times "jump" key was pressed in this video? :D
KisiChad
Player died at 2:05?
yep! It's OK as long as you don't respawn and the other player exits :)
Dying in speedruns gives style points. I often do it too when I can, and know I'm not the only one :)
Nice, almost too quick ;)
It would be helpful to see health/armor below player name
Those guys are not very good, they keep on shooting each other !
These is just...WOW!🫡
insane runs
10/10, really impressive work all around it was neat to see some of the crazy stuff you can get away with when you have a second person.
