Sorry I missed it. It’s great that you are adapting to your life back in USA and working on bringing back your family. Personally, we have talked about bringing my family back but it just doesn’t make sense. They will stay there and I will rent my property and just work on having my family come to USA as tourist. I know it’s not easy but my wife is ok with that and we will see how it goes. As you know I’m not retired yet and won’t be eligible for social security for several years.

Also I just finished watching your entire video and noticed you're looking for a co-host so if you want to consider me, i can consider you too 😁😁 I used to work in radio but I'm still trying to figure out what the difference is between regular RUclips and a podcast.🙃

Like 20 min or hour show..but you have a channel and just put in those stories..the problem for me is picking good sources for listening...i think i have it now you know figured out. For sureaybe we can do something together...

Thanks for the update. I remember you saying before you left the Philippines that the cost of living in the USA is the same as the philippines. Do you still agree with that assertion now that you have been here for a year? I think overall, looking at total monthly expenses, it is far more expensive in the USA. I came back the USA for a visit and astounded by how less the money goes. All in, my average monthly expensive in the Philippines is roughly 1400 usd including rent, no way can I live in the USA on that amount.

I do agree . Yes it is expensive and getting more here...but it's like you can find land to buy fairly cheap..even around me I found few lots 1/2 acre and even quite a few 1 acre here for 5 k they are in places like oak hill Florida, Mims, Florida Ocala, Inverness, wilwood fl. there for a while the real estate person was calling me multiple times a week . You can buy the lot like 500 down and 140 month until paid off.. some has electricity and sewer some don't..90 percent are high and dry no flood zones .so that my goal. Buy a lot 5-6k.. I have a 28 foot camper. 2 bed 2 slides 2 TVs well really 3. Need a remote I lost it ..hahaahaha..i have camper 600 USD a month on a lot.. included electric..and water and Internet.. then food. Car and insurance...thats it ..really .I give more money to Ruth than for me..but it's just me she has herself and RR.... electric is 80-100 month in the Philippines...and food cost is double in the Philippines..than here for me..gas is more expensive..even propane there in the Philippines..I paid 12 bucks to fill a tank..22 for Ruth same size..she bought cereal 8-10 bucks a box corn flakes and Coco puff for RR..I paid 2.80 for Walmart raisen bran.. milk here is 1.87 1/2 gallon she pays 2 bucks for small box.. so actually I do live cheaper.. but i live in Florida..that's why so many are moving here from up north 800 people a day just to daytona. They said on news...and gas at bucees was 1.89 today I noticed..things are expensive but controlable...you know in the Philippines...no choice...hahaha if you know what I mean.. God bless my friend

@@TomandRuthPhilippineAdventures Thanks Tom for a nice detailed response. The camper was a great idea! 600 a month lot rental is not too bad I suppose. I am surprised that lots in Florida are only 5000. So if you buy a lot you will be able to live in your camper on the lot and get rid of the 600 rental fee? Gas in Chicago where I am from is still around 3.25 per gallon., which is on par with what I pay in Bohol. I do see that some grocery items are the same, some more, and lots less. Groceries is usually the biggest of my monthly expense. By and large I think overall the average monthly expense is much less that the US. I am back in the Chicago suburbs this month and find it very expense. From Uber, eating out, groceries, etc are eating away at my budget for my trip. Lastly, out of curiosity, if RR did not have issues at the school, do you think you would have still made the decision to move back? Just wondering.

Good stuff , best of luck in your families next adventure.
As soon as physical is done it goes to embassy to schedule a interview.
Categories are faster for married couples.
Once visa is processed be prepared to move on entrance to USA in 90 days once entering , you can come and go as you please.
You can get citizenship after 3 years.
I can see spending money can go fast but i intend to continue to invest while in retirement.
You are not alone in going to work in retirement.
Be mindful of income qualifications and Mrs Ruths insurance.
Working for yourself and family is a blessing.
Dont overdo it , we are not young .
Take off on sunday Mr Tom.
    God bless.
Red gold and Hunts is tasty catsup.

Keep track of your mileage on all your cars so you can right it off come tax time if your a gig driver. I just do food delivery and what ever gross say 10k it would at least cut it in half. Keep your gas receipts, all maintenance cost etc. Do your research I actually bought a book probably on Amazon on it. I thought you were going to get a regular $20 an hour job. I would have told ya gig drivers not worth it due to the wear on your cars and gas. It’s ok for me cause all I need is $50 a day 6 days a week and I accept orders from my apartment while watching tv etc and reject 9 out of 10. Hopefully things turn around down there when your lady gets there. Plus you probably wouldn’t have a problem getting a job down there as a lot of places I hear in TN will not hire older folks. I haven’t tried yet I just hit 60 in may but I heard older folks say they even can’t get an interview up here. When u do you taxes as a gig driver for the first time you will have to choose to either right off the mileage or right off the gas maintenance insurance and when u chose you will have to use that way the years to come
