Steve Rose from The Listening Post at Totally Guitars shares information about Fleetwood Mac's seventh album Penguin, released in 1973.
Fleetwood Mac's ablum features Bob Welch on guitar and vocals, Christine McVie on piano and vocals, the rhythm section of Mick Fleetwood on drums and John McVie on bass, plus new additions Dave Walker on vocals and guitar, and Bob Weston on slide guitar.
Fleetwood Mac underwent several transitions during their storied history, from 60′s blues rockers led by Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer, to psychedelic folksters guided by Danny Kirwan, followed by the jazzy mid-70′s adult contemporary sound of Bob Welch and Christine McVie, then culminating with the chart busting mega-success achieved by its late-70′s lineup featuring Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.

Bright Fire is one of my favorite FM songs. It is one of the few FM songs where Christine plays the mellotron.

Steve, this video has so much wrong info. When Peter Green left in 1970, Danny was the creative force behind Fleetwood Mac. Christine McVie didn't even play on Then Play On. She began recording with the Mac on Kiln House but wasn't even credited as a member, but for doing the album artwork.

Ismael Flores Christine McVie played piano on Then Play On, though she was not credited. The only album she did not play at all is their debut 1968 album, Fleetwood Mac.

She played and sang on Mr. Wonderful and Then Play On. You are right when you say Danny was the creative force when Peter Green left the band though, all be it I think reluctantly.

@@AnthonyMonaghan she didn't sing on Mr Wonderful or Then Play On. She didn't play on TPO either. She only played piano on Mr Wonderful as a session player.

@@tudorbaltoiu7685 There is barely any piano on TPO and the only bit is on Oh Well which is Jeremy on piano in the second part of the song.

The Fake Fleetwood Mac actually dumped that manager afterwards and reinvented themselves as Stretch, a short lived funk rock group during the late 1970s that featured the cleverly named Elmer Gantry on vocals. Elmer later worked with Alan Parsons and some other big names
