Sonic Movie 3, being a starting point for a cinematic universe, is insane!
Remember back in 2014 when Sony said this franchise would be a yearly trilogy?
This new pathway of making a cinematic universe with the Sonic movie franchise could also mean that we’re getting more grounded, serious, and less jokey kid humor in the Sonic movies down the line, starting with Sonic 3 because the tone in the last two movies can't be the same with Shadow in this new movie because of his tragic, dark origin story with also kid murder along with it 🦔🖤❤️
Everyone says movie 3 will be the last but that’s dumb. The franchise has pulled SEGA too much money and there is no way it will be ending anytime soon.

Even though I'm taking everything with a grain of salt, I would be surprised if they just stopped the movies with this one. Paramount doesn't typically just end a movie franchise that is successful.

Smurf films literally have grossed more than Sonic movies and that’s another property paramount now has rights too and is making more movies for.
Sonic movies is doing numbers a B kids film makes like Barnyard or Over The Hedge.
While Mario movie is making what A list films like shrek and Madagascar are making.
@@keeferkifflom360 I would hardly call an at-the-time 'highest grossing video game movie of all time' not alot, especially since the budget for the two movies was lower by comparison to most kid's movies (including Super Mario, which you are clearly referencing here).
You have to look at the gross versus the budget and not just the dollar amount. When a movie is making back roughly four times what their budget was, that is a commercial success. Compare it to Transformers and you'll see that even though the figures are different, the gross is still roughly four times the budget on average.

It does make sense Cuz we still haven’t seen many other characters like Amy, Big, cream, rouge, team chaotix, silver, blaze, and many many more. If Sonic Movie 4 actually happens, they should bring Sliver, Blaze The Cat, Espio, Charmy Bee & Vector the crocodile. But Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is gonna be one heck of a movie, but we're not exactly 100% sure if a 4th Sonic movie will happen, but it depends if Sonic Movie 3 will do amazing.
Well Omega & The Chaotix made their appearance in Sonic Heroes even though I’m neutral against the Chaotix but I really doubt that the Chaotix are gonna be in the 4th Movie cause since Silver & Blaze made their appearance in Sonic 06 I believe that’s what’s gonna happen in the 4th movie along with Omega cause Omega was in Sonic 06 as well
I dunno. With Blaze being from a different dimension and Silver being from the future, introducing them both in the same movie would make the plot pretty complicated. Blaze especially. Silver's thing is straightforward: he goes to the past to fix his time. But what reason would Blaze have to leave her dimension? Imo, they should be brought in during seperate releases.

@@Knucklehead2009 Me, I'm not a die-hard Sonic fan. I don't know a lot about the lore of some things. I thought it was funny, but the only thing that bugged me was that the other half became the Wade show because I thought since this is supposed to be the Knuckles show I thought we were going to explore more of Knuckles’s origins a bit more, some echidna lore or history but we got so little of that which to me was the disappointing part. I will say that the CGI looks great. I was not expecting it to look visually impressive, but since this isn't Disney, they don't have a big enough budget to have Knuckles be in a lot of scenes except in the first episode, which is the only episode Jeff Fowler directed, so I guess that's why it's the most amazing out of the six episodes, so I have hopes that he's going to do a great job with the third Sonic movie and that he's going to do a great job with the characterization of Shadow
This would be a good time to bring in Silver, he might pop up at the end credits for Sonic Movie 3!

I feel like Sonic Movie 4 should be about introducing Silver The Hedgehog and Metal Sonic since both CD and 06 deal with Time Travel which can be an "Avengers-like event" and they can replace Iblis with Neo Metal Sonic being the one to destroy Silver's World. Heck, the movie can have TWO Metal Sonics as the main villains one from the present and the other from the future.
Or they can adapt both Riders and SA1 for Movie 4 with The Babylon Rogues (maybe just only Jet) and Chaos due to them being tied to Ancient Stories (even if they are different in the games but they can make a connection to the movies) and the Rogues' possible connection to Longclaw.

@georgesthegreat That situation with Silver could still play out. But instead of Silver mistaking Sonic as the Iblis Trigger, he would mistake Sonic as the one that started the Metal Sonic Madness. Also I feel Paramount might want to go for recognizable villains which is why Metal Sonic makes sense to be the one to destroy Silver's World in terms of how it can fit in the Movies and also to show that Metal is no jobber like he is recently. And Iblis might not appear thanks to the Knuckles Show.

I would say that Silver would help Sonic & Shadow stop Solaris after he got Manipulated by Mephiles about Sonic being the Iblis Trigger. So yeah I would have a feeling that Silver would have to track down Sonic as the Iblis Trigger cause at first Silver didn’t trust Sonic for destroying his world

@georgesthegreat It's a different universe so the movies can do whatever they want and mix elements from 2 or 3 games as one movie each with a twist since it will not be one to one with the games and Iblis is tied with Elise so they might do something different like I said with Metal Sonic even if he's not in 06.

It's like how Marvel is handling Spider-Man. The first three movies are the "Classic" trilogy. Reflecting the characters being so heavily influenced by the classic 2D games. Mustache twirling Eggman, antagonist Knuckles, kiddish Sonic. If the franchise continues, it'll be the "Modern" trilogy. Taking from the 3D games. Eggman getting humanity, 90s rebellious attitude Sonic, morally ambiguous Shadow.
What are you smoking? The first movie is its own story, 2 is the only one based of Sonic 2 and 3, and 3 is about SA2 and Shadow the hedgehog. What is this nonsense?
The Monsterverse is the only cinematic universe outside of Marvel to be successful so far, it's now in it's tenth year with Godzilla x Kong. They managed to keep things going by taking the movies one step at a time instead of rushing things out like DC and the other attempts, which is pretty much how the Sonic movies have gone so far. They haven't rushed things yet, even with Knuckles and movie 3 both dropping in 2024.

@benjaminhorn5958 Tripling your production budget isn't chugging along, which most of the movies have done. King of the Monsters was the only one that barely made money but they recovered pretty quickly.

I'm SOO pleased to hear that there has been an official confirmation that Sonic 3 will NOT be the last film and that they will make this be a SCU instead of ending it with Sonic 3!!! I VERY much hope that the forth installment will be a better written version of Sonic 06 with good old Silver the hedgehog being in it! For soo long he's been in big need of being more than just a side character in the games who has also never been in any TV series or feature film even though there is soo much potential in him and the optimisim that he shows in that game. Also since these movies have elements from the games adapted into them with realistic new stuff included instead of being full adaptions of the games, if Paramount makes a movie that will be based on 06 then that studio can easily replace the unliked parts from that game's story plot with things that could be accepted by the fans and make sense in this movie universe.

Im glad theyre making more movies so they have room to introduce more characters. But i dont think that introducing Silver in Sonic 4 is a good idea. My idea is that first they should introduce Amy, and they can make Metal Sonic a central threat with story beats similar to Sonic CD, pehaps. Then Sonic 5 can be more of a Sonic 06 adaption by introducing Silver, Blaze, and the concepts of time and dimensional travel, with Mephiles as the main villain

I freaking love the Avenger-style universe for Sonic! He definitely has enough characters for one! To think we could not just get characters like Omega and possibly Silver, but also Blaze makes me ecstatic! It also solves the Jim Carrey problem since we can have other villains take the spotlight like Metal Sonic, Mephiles, Black Doom, heck even Eggman Nega which would work to fill the role as recurring main or major antagonist! There’s so many possibilities and hopes! I’m still crossing my fingers for a Team Dark miniseries. That ever comes to be and I will be so lit!

I thought the third Sonic movie was all right. The ending was surprising, seeing Eggman sacrifice himself to save Sonic, but it makes sense as Jim Carrey does want to retire. I hope the fourth movie is a lot better. I also enjoyed the Knuckle series, but it should’ve had more episodes, and the cliffhanger at the end of the season was not necessary
I think it would make sense for them to try to adapt parts of Sonic '06, as that game's setting is also set in a world with humans, while alsi being able to introduce characters like Silver, Blaze, Mephiles and Iblis. Also, I think it would be an incredible flex to adapt that mess of a story (to an extent), and actually make it good.
This is totally bananas. Sonic the Hedgehog the Movie has come a long way since his remodel after the first reveal that has terrified us, including myself, before Tyson Hesse saved the project. Throughout that entire timespan, we have seen a game that has toppled the charts like never before in a long time, making its very first appearance in the Game Awards, featured another great TV show since Sonic X, received more merchandise, released more mobile games, a great concert, and with the Knuckles spin-off series right around the corner, we couldn’t ask for more until the Sonic 3 reveal occurred. Now, with the talk about the possibility of making its 4th movie and a cinematic universe like the Avengers? This is truly another year of Sonic the Hedgehog that will bring back the glory days on a whole new level in a new era. The anticipation is too much and I’m loving it. We shall what the future has in store for us all, at least us fans and gamers of the franchise. 💙
Likely they reveal Eggman has a child and he becomes the next Eggman. The villainous father plot has been done plenty of times before.

Idea. Sonic the Hedgehog: Solaris . The logical Sonic Movie 4 Story would be Sonic06! But improved… It’s the game in which Silver was introduced and personally i think is quite good (and definitely nothing to do with me boing born in 06), if they hammer out the main story, maybe give more detail to it by sifting through some old archives, and it would be good. Except from an ethereal hedgehog maniac absorbing the soul of a princess, forming a space time God Monster, that’ll take a while to fit in the story properly
The thing is, while I understand having tv shows to expand on the Universe, I really hope they don't make the same mistake that the MCU has been and that is making the shows mandatory to watch to understand the movies.
If they just want it for character studies and just to add some layers to the characters, that's great. As long as you don't HAVE to watch them just to understand what is happening in the movies. If that's the case, I'm excited

The Avengers Level suggests that we are probably going to have a lot of characters. Having Amy, Shadow, & Rouge added at the very least makes sense & we can also expect Professor Gerald, Maria, & Biolizard to appear in addition to GUN. As for villains in Movie 4 onward we could see Stone grow into a New Eggman, we could alternatively get Metal Sonic, Black Doom, & Mephiles. We can only watch & find out what happens in Movies 3-6.

I hope somehow they go to fully animated. The reason the Mario movie was super successful in my opinion was due to it being fully animated. We were able to see the world we grew up with clearly. Saw a ton of Easter eggs and video game moments. The sonic franchise has always been limiting itself by having it set in the real world.

Might be predictable but I figure Stone could definitely take a role as a recurring for the franchise. Maybe less of a MAIN villain but someone pulling the strings similarly to how he was in the IDW comic made for the 2nd movie
Can’t believe we’re already talking about this!!! I think that they could do some of the other well loved villains without Eggman, instead Agent Stone could fill that role. E.g. while cleaning up the lair he stumbles across an old robot, enter Metal Sonic, a capable villain on his own. I could also see Amy introduced in a show. AND WE ACTUALLY COULD GET LIVE ACTION SILVERRRR which again doesn’t really need Eggman, in fact I’ve always thought the story would be better without him but that’s just my opinion. So excited for what’s to come and love your videos as always!
