Thanks Tom for the marking tip. Saw it on the last pattern. I was marking for hst and had to stop myself and do it middle out,the tips were perfect. Have a great day!
Love it. Going to have to make both samples. I quite liked the effect on the windmills block (? is it I know you told me and now I've forgotten) quilt; it may need a little tweaking to get it just right.
Thanks! I'm still torn about it, even when I was editing the video I couldn't decide between liking it and hating it :-) it's called a Winding Ways pattern.
Sewing straight on these small samples is a bit easier than a full size quilt, everything I stop to readjust the quilt and my hands I get a little squiggly bit. Any suggestions?
That still happens to me every now and then. I make sure I stop with my needle down, and my pressure foot down and try my hardest not to move the quilt. If the quilt it hanging off the edge of the table it can pull it and cause that squiggly bit. Another thing that helped me was to re-adjust one hand at a time to stablise the quilt. I hope that helps a bit!
i would use painters/masking tape to set the lines and then either sew along the side of the tape or use it as a guide to draw the lines on. I do plan on a vieo with tips on how to mark designs on larger quilts as part of the series when it restarts this year.
Thank you for great ideas and instruction!
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you found it helpful!
Such a nice grid pattern
Thanks! Glad you liked it too

Any suggestions as to how to mark this pattern on a full size quilt?
