Thank you very much for sharing ! I've wanted a trug for a while but I'm concerned the galvanized metal will cut into ripe tomatoes or fruit , that's why I think I'd prefer a flat bottom surface. Did you run into this trouble? Have a great day!
Thank you for your question, Bonnie, and Merry Christmas! Manually - You can use one of these types of planes: Dado Plane, Rabbet Plane, or Router Plane. A Google search will reveal several brands, types, and sizes to choose from. Power tool besides CNC: You can use a router in a router table with a straight cutting bit of the proper width or you can use a table saw. Either one should yield satisfactory results. 👍👍👍
Thanks Paul! I really like this. You could build a bunch of these, take them out on Rt.1, and make a killing!😁
Thanks for the suggestion, Marty!👍👍👍

We've not experienced any problems, Julie. Our trug works just fine. Thank you for your comment. 👍👍👍
Thanks a lot for your message. I might ask my husband to try to build it, then! Have a great day😋
How would I make the channel manually or another power tool? I don’t have cnc machine.
