NEVER trim down a frost free hose bib. It will damage it beyond repair. The system works as a unit, that is why they come in different lengths. Also, if you are soldering into the end it is best to remove the stem and washer to avoid damage. At the minimum the valve should be fully open to dissipate heat.
I know you don't respond to comments anymore but I hope you read this. You can't just cut it down to length. The frost preventative nature of the product puts the water stopper in the end of that pipe. So a 12" has the stopper some place in the long pipe extension.
Sean Vetter i’m a master plumber and agree 100% , do not cut .if you cut it, it’s toast. Here in the north east I typically install 8" and 10" lengths.
I was going to say the same thing. I actually am in the machine shop making the internal components for PRIER products. You would have to get a different length of copper pipe. Because of back flow prevention items.
I've had the C-108 Installed in my garage in RI and love it. It's been a great way to wash with warm water and the dog loves getting warm baths outside now too. I am glad to see you providing these in the OG store! Well done.
Glad you got these Matt I found something similar at one of the big box stores but it wasn’t quarter turn I’ve always hated The 27 turn thing never understood that I’m turning the hose on I’m not cooling a nuclear reactor great video stay safe👍
Man, seeing how i struggle in France to find some mtm sg28, some good pressure washer seller, a good place with interesting detailing product not the same generic big brands products... We really need an OG EU place for real. I know, it's difficult, not worth, bla bla bla... But we need that!
yeah and we are stuck at home here, waiting this virus out for now, but atleast i had a few good laughs with this video :), stay healthy people! best to all!
Thanks for this. Have you asked Prier about making one that is NOT "frost free" for those of us that live in warm climates and have block/stucco houses without access to the inside of the concrete block? (Every south Florida house has a 1/2" copper pipe sticking out of the stucco)
Great question as I was thinking the same here in central Florida, but hope all is well down there man as we're starting to get hit more in my area about 55 miles east of Orlando
I think this is what you're looking for, although I believe this one is 360-degree turn instead of 90-degree quarter turn. www.prier.com/products/c-144xc/
With the “Brick Buddy”, if you have an existing exterior brick wall you want to install a hose bibb on, do you core a hole just big enough to slide that in and would you line the hole with mortar or glue before placing? Thx
Matt or OG garage please correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the “brick buddy” is for new construction Setting it in place as you brick your wall thus creating a pass-through to pipe your hose bib a great idea, if you are replacing an existing hose bib through brick I can’t imagine making the whole bigger to fit the brick buddy versus fitting it through the existing hole some putty and tap cons would be more than secure a lot of hose bibs are just putting in to the brick I could be wrong I hope this helps
john m bell yeah, good points. I’m just thinking if it has the ability to create a nice anchoring system to it and maybe another level of insulation, sort of, then I’d be game to install it. But also the whole brick buddy assembly may be too big to core a hole and have it trim out or cover nicely. Not sure. Thx
yeah the brick buddy is only meant as a sleeve or a means to mount and connect the bib prior to brickwork starting on new construction. It's not meant for retrofitting.
Mat! Big shout-out to you an the OG fam, I was just at HQ a few hours ago to purchase my overhead lights. As always customer service was on point! An yeah I seen the bib outside looks great, but the highlight of my day was I was able to snap a few pics in front of OGHQ, (which to me), is not only an honor, but also a milestone in my life not only how far I've come but more importantly the direction I'm heading... with all that said I'm highly anticipating the arrival of my lights an will be opening up shop by the following weekend so be on the lookout in the general area for "Tim's Pro Auto Spa-&-Mobile Detailing LLC". Will also have a RUclips channel coming too! Hope to one day shake the hand of the OG General who's helped inspire me an my obsession/profession an who knows maybe even could do some planning down the line. I'm a team player an all about "this life". American broski🔝🇺🇸🤑👊🏽
Those Prier products are top notch. Not your typical Home Depot/Lowes track-home crap. I'm planning a new home so when I'm at that stage of plumbing, I think I'll have to order some. I'll eventually need to set up my garage too so I'll probably go with some of your Sonic stuff. Should be ready to go around Monterey Car Week. :-)
Your videos have low production value. Your videos lack product close-ups. Close-ups of the item capture your viewers attention, showcase the quality of the product, and allow your potential customers to appreciate the fine details of the item. I’m sorry Matt, but it’s a bit frustrating to watch your videos with this chronic, reoccurring problem. Just a camera on a tripod is not going to cut it. You need a cameraman or some good video editing with close-ups interjected. I know you appreciate honest criticism.
maybe try checking the product page on the website before bashing the guy doing $1M+ in monthly sales. This video is part of that product page, which has tons of close-up photos of the product directly next to the video.
Patrick94GSR maybe they won’t check the product page if he doesn’t sell the product in the video very well. I dared to give some constructive criticism to Almighty Matt! Forgive me father for I have sinned. Don’t worry, it won’t happen again.

Came here to say that. Thanks
I ran to the comments to say the same. Do not cut...

Matt, you don’t have disorder, you have SKILL 👍🏼
no
Thank you Matt for taking the time and effort to share with us all those great products and solutions!!
I have a few Prier bibs at my house and they are high quality for sure!
I've got a similar bibs with BSP threads Made in Germany, they are expensive too!
Thanks Matt for the video.
Nice! Glad you finally have these!
Asked for a hot cold bib in the garage for our new house and they put in a C-108 without me even asking!
You should ask prior to make a quarter turn version of the 434 actually they should make a quarter turn versions of all their spouts and faucets
Great product, definitely interested

that's just how gate valves work. Bunch of turns to open fully.

How in the heck do you retrofit? Brick exterior, pipes are inside finished garage wall.
Matt, would you run 2 wall buddy's with the 108 on an exterior block wall?

I have a stupid question. Why a quick disconnect on the hose?
Is that a damn Dynaudio speaker behind you? I am an audio guy..thats good shit!
Yep...
What's the flow rate of the P-164?
can they be powdercoated black?
It doesn't work super well over zink.
not the hose again 😂😂🤣😂, not the hose
You can’t cut a frost free down. Geez. Cancel him prier
These look more european already :)
First up.... dig it.

Well shucks...I'm just skatin' by doing it my way. I guess I should just quit.

Obsessed Garage You need to be a little more obsessed with your video production. I guess I was wrong, you don’t take criticism well.
