Yeah, so far I've been sticking to acrylics. But oil might sneak it's way in at some point. Maybe.... 😂

Is the value in $ between oil and acrylic have a big difference? Been watching RUclips on auctions. Wondering if those sold in millions are oul or acrylic. Do you have any idea? Thanks.

For acrylic paints I'm struck by how translucent yours are. Are they like that out of the bottle or are you diluting with a little water or medium? When I put acrylics down it's hard to me to layer as each color is just covering up what's underneath completely.
Hey Peter. I mostly dry brush, but it could be the gesso that's causing the effect. I dont use mediums, but I do sometimes use water to thin out the paint and glaze with it.

Thank you Cathy for your inspiring youtube clips you have been a great source of inspiration for me. I want to hear where you buy your sketch books and what is the name of them.
My sketchbooks are from a german company, Kunst & Papier. I import mine to Norway now, since they've been hard to get my hands on here. You can find them online tho. They are 28x28cm or 12" x12" and the pagper is 130gm. Hope this helps.
Your work has greatly intrigued and inspired me of late.
What supplies and equipment do you use?
In this video I used acrlic paint (amsterdam series), charcoal, rembrandt soft pastells and the hard pastel was from Faber Castell ( i think). I also used a fineline bottle and an acrylic marker (sharpie) to create those last lines.

I just spent an hour on a painting and then painted over it with gesso. It just got too busy
I've done that more times than you want to know Linda. That's how I got to know myself. I'll tell you this much... I've made way more bad paintings than good ones. It takes courage not to give up, you just need to find yours. 💚
