  • The Bhutan royal couple's love affair with India continues. After their recent fairy tale wedding that was attended by several Indian dignitaries including Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, the royal couple will be in India on a nine-day visit. Besides discussing diplomacy, the newly-weds will also squeeze in a short holiday in Rajasthan.

Thank you India. We immensely thank you for being our big brother and helping us in our development process. Whenever I go to big hospitals that are built with financial support from India, drive on roads built by DANTAK, and go to schools built from Indian support, I feel much obliged to your country. Despite the economic hardships faced by your country, your generous support towards Bhutan is much appreciated. We are very thankful to you for all your kind supports. Thank you India.

Please NDTV guys don't brew trouble in Bhutan.. I have worked in media and know exactly what subtle/sublime messaging ppl use to raise issues that are not wanted. You want a democracy like ours in Bhutan?. Let them find their own path. Why do YOU/WE have to voice their problems for them. Do we have a right to say anything..You stood silent when Tamils died in Srilanka.. why didn't you speak for them then...?

Bhutan should learn lesson from Nepal and not rely fully on India. It is not ‘if’ but ‘when’ India imposes illegal blockade, when things don’t go their way, Bhutan may have to suffer the same fate as Nepal. I always felt politicians from Bhutan are way more insightful and wiser than from stupid ‘big talker, nothing doer’ politicians from Nepal. Learn the lesson from Sikkim and now Nepal. India is not to be trusted. Small counties like Nepal and Bhutan should invest in producing lots of international lawyers so they can defend themselves well in international court, when giant and stupid countries like India or China bully them. (by the way, I am from nepal )

The diplomacy door should be open to another nations like China and USA. Yes its true not to rely much on one country. Bhutan should be a neutral country between these two gaint neighbours. Bhutan can facilitate diplomacy tie between india and China.
