Waiting to see whether I should do this or the Hiya. Owning (the reissue of) the original SHMA 2021 Kong, the figure suffers from inaccurate sculpt, lack of accessories, and terrible joint tolerance. Glad to see this version fixed at least some of those issues, but for $90 or more I don’t know if I can justify it until I can see how it stacks up next to the ~$45 Hiya.
The SHMA Kong 2021 reissue still has joint tolerance issues? The review/comparison that's up on the articulation series website led me to believe the reissue fixed the joint tolerance issues.
@@madara7989 At first the joints were alright, and, like, it’s still better? Nothing has broken on mine? But I have two shoulder barbels which are both infuriatingly loose, among other things.
Hiya is shaping up to be a better alternative. As the dude above said, the Hiya (at least Godzilla) is Jobby certified. If they nail Kong, Mothra and Rodan? Well, Bandai better hope they don't get the Showa or Heisei licenses.
I like this figure but the only problem I had with it was that the left arm was super tight and I thought I was gonna break it but I fixed it with some dish soap, water, and a q tip
Your only paying 30 more bucks for this if your buying it on Big bad toy store I would get this one since it has more accessories which talking In Sh form is pretty rare to get good accessories. So I would recommend this new version
so, my sh monsterarts godzilla 2000 millenium OG arrived yesterday and I am now the proud owner of 10 sh monsterarts and 5 figuarts EDIT: not happy about my figures prices though... >:c
Luckily, i not buy older Kong too early 😂. This version much better than original counterpart 🙂. However does not mean i want to pick up this figure 😅. As a Godzilla fan, i do not want to pick up any Kong figure OR depends on me whether i want to pick up this figure or not 🙂. Happy nice day, Steven 😊.
I just ordered the original yesterday and I'm hoping it doesn't have any joint issues since it will be a reissue. but either way ive wanted this one too but the original is a non scarred vanilla version of kong that I want. I might just end up getting both. great review btw
@@jshrhrgahhuehtnmppl as it turns out I got the reissue version. it has a matte finish, and great joints. but it arrived with two right fists. any idea where I can get replacement parts?
The way you slammed monke on the table not only proves this to be one of if not the hardiest SHMA to date, but was also hilarious to watch 🤣
The thinking hand is probably for him reaching out to jia with his finger on the boat
This version of Kong is worth it I say cuz I have the original release and it starting to piss me off, so thank God for this Monke.
Hope they make a Godzilla one like this, with some more accessories, like a beam effect to recreate the hollow earth entry

That's why you don't only follow them 👀
As JobbytheHong said, Hiya is shaping up to be the best of Neca and SHMA. Very promising so far...

I'd be nice to display kong 2021 and spitfire 2014 showing each others trophy head both muto and mechagodzilla.

What do you think about custom headscupts? I have the Zetto's alternate faces and they're so cool.
i'm glad SH MonsterArts is continuing the trend of "blunt home defense weapon"

“We get all the accessories fans asked for”
Then why no banan hm???
Why did he not come with bananer?
...true...
No bananer big enough for dis monkë
Does he have stiff legs like the og one? I don’t want it to break like the other one.
I'm gonna get this figure as a early Christmas gift wish me luck that It will be in good condition
Today is a good day if this videos comesmout
Damn I thought Monk was going to break when you slammed him, but he sturdy!!!

What? You sound kinda ridiculous
@@dradra2day Sorry, it's true.
I really like da video
Hey Steven do you think Bandai will go back on certain figures and rework them to be more film accurate? Godzilla 2014, Godzilla 2000, Kong 2021.

Be careful with the vanilla kong. Mine and a few other’s had a stiff torso and stiff legs. The legs on my kong broke. Be gentle.
