Use some of the trees your clearing to make pond space to build a log cabin on the farthest corner of the pond … put a giant fridge in it giant tv and watch the game in there with the boys after the ponds done !!

leave some trees around parts for summer shade for fish and fishing
There is just something about heavy equipment at work that is satisfying to watch
save those root balls for cover, it will add more natural cover, plus you can also flip them like Bama did, or just put them kinda as is and have a stump field for some jigging
also, you might wanna talk to a marine biologist, and have them help you plan everything out, that way you dont get bass locked again, make sure you have plenty of forage and let them have way to much time to establish, plus maybe get rid of all the catfish, maybe make a secondary area, where your overflow into the swamp is as the "catch and cook" area, oh, and dude you gotta do a grass flat! haha

Definitely should build a fishing shed to store gear for the pond like feeder bags,rods,and etc.
Having that clay is a massive win for the pond expansion. So many people want a pond, but don't realise that you must have good amounts of clay or it's going to be super expensive to have a waterproof layer put in, either by trucking in clay or getting a plastic liner.
I'd like to see you put in a gazebo/grill area down near the water. Basically a shed with no walls on a concrete slab about 40 feet square.

Definitely add structure and some rip rap to the pond. Whether that’s dead trees or actual artificial structure. This is exciting! Watched every single episode of Bama Bass’s pond build. Can’t wait to follow your build!!

Buy floating bridge and make it go to a sweet spot in the pond and use some of the trees they tore down and make cover in the water for the fish

Got plenty of trees for laydowns in the expanded pond, and I would suggest adding in some Big Big Boulders! Bass like rock!

After you finish the pond, you should build a nice dock and a nice boat ramp!
Put rocks and trees and all that good stuff into the new side of the pond and some pea gravel for the gills you should also put some rocks around the overflow pipe and turn that into a mini spill way thing

Add a small Pier to your pond Lojo so your bass can hide and grow with some shade 👍🏽 stoked for you
Put a large culvert under peninsula to connect the legs and give the fish a good place to hide in the shade and give you a place to perfect your casting into the pipe
Those trees would make a great log cabin type fishing shack for rods, and tackle.
Sink some boulders and brush piles, of course and build an ice couple of docs while you’re at it!👍🏻
Interesting stuff when you want to get a small piece of land with creeks,a natural fed pond ,both... or direct river access. Good looking spot you got going there sir.
Build a little hatchery and tie a bunch of papsi crates together to make a blanket of structure for minnows and shinners to spawn in then throw a few hundred in there and let them spawn. You will have thousands of bait fish a week to feed to your bass so much you will never have to cull bass again. Imagine 10 pounders you can hand feed. Use a small pool filter to keep it clean so all you have to do is backwash the sand and add some potted plants for more structure and to filter out some ammonia and nitrogen(a few water soaked driftwood from the river to help keep the levels good). If you have alot you will still have to feed them a little but the plants, logs, bugs and algae should keep them fed for the most part.

If you want to dry out the swamp you can take the exrmtra dirt and build a straight a creek straight to the river or bigger creak that the swamp drains into. Build a small dam oon the side of the swamp so the water hits it and flows to the creek use any rocks or gravel they find while digging to put along the bottomand bends to prevent erosion.

It would be awesome if you made a video dedicated to only catching/ getting bass and other fish to stock in the pond would be awesome, and maybe a underwater camera sometime after?
Are you going to put a boat landing in? I also think it would be cool with maybe and awning and picnic and catch and cook area for family and guest to have cookouts and kayaking and fishing fun for the kids as they got older.

Get a biologist involved to plan it out. Will be the difference between a nice pond and trophy pond. (I have seen both types in northern Ontario, BIG difference with final pond and the maintenance to keep/grow it.)

There was an OG claw tub over the natural spring that led into the pond by me that was quite cool looking.
You definitely need to add structure before you fill using the trees you bulldoze in the clearance. You also need to add rock piles in their too.
well building up the dam was a good idea for depth! interesting to see how the layout will be

Yo lojo u should build a dock across ur pond and set up a dock light and do crazy feedings like bamba bass 😎🔥and u should use the logs ur clearing as pond structure 😎and u should get some Lilly pads for ur pond and make cool top water fishing videos 😎
Create a a big shallow sand bank for better spending grounds, almost like a beach
Make a giant deep hole at like 15 feet in the pond expansion area
A dock with like a over night fishing shack would b bad ass

after spending most of my life moving dirt. a job like that is a dream job. you get to play.
