In the crystal league and higher, each player picks 8 pokemon that they want to use, and then other player pick two out that they don't want you to use and that will leave 6 pokemon to battle with.
Haha, yeah, it can be annoying sometimes. Part of it was just trying to figure out a way to get around sleeping powder. And when I used yawn with Kingdra, I should have switched to Executor to use leech seed or try poisoning butterfree when it woke up. Then, I could have stalled more time with Rhyperior, but some of those things I don't think about during that battle that I later think about after editing the video. But I will remember for next time if it comes up again.
