The design and color isnt my thing. Scarred to see the price in EU. Wonder how the print will hold up over the years being on top of the surface. Still searching for a hard speed pad with good design thats not limited and not costing an arm and a leg
Stellar. I love this pad!!! Also, is it just me or do whatever PTFE skates Hitscan used feel like a match made in heaven with the KIN X? Out of 7 different sets I've tested so far, it just outperforms the rest on this surface in terms of quietness and smoothness.
Amazing vid as always. I like iems and headphones equally. That being said, if it were you, would you go with 490pro or tea pro/areta if you’re looking for most enjoyable experience for 80% gaming 20% music?
When I first got the Kiah in, I was blown away. The details and vibrancy are insane. The surface is hella nice too! No stickness and no sleeves needed! The glide also took me by surprise. I was expecting control like the Cerapad but this was a very nice surprise 🔥
@ hmmm I’ll have to double check but there certainly is LESS dynamic friction than the Kin. It glides smoother and further than it ever did with the Kin
Hi, there have just been discounts on the HD490 Pro Plus and the HarmonicDyne Zeus Elite, so I’m planning to upgrade my headphones this week or next. I’ve asked you about this a few times before, but maybe things have changed since then. I’m trying to decide which would be better for playing FPS games and also AAA single-player games. My focus shifts - right now, I’m spending more time on AAA games, but in two months, I might spend 90% of my time on FPS games. I want to get the most out of this budget, and I’m unsure which pair to choose. Currently, the HD490 Pro Plus costs around $100 more, but the price difference doesn’t matter to me if they’re the better choice. At the moment, I’m using an iFi Zen DAC v1 with HD 560S headphones. In the future, I’ll probably want to upgrade my amp/DAC as well - maybe to the iFi Zen DAC v3 or something even more powerful. I also enjoy listening to music with good bass, but that’s only about 10% of my use - the majority of my time is spent gaming. Can you recommend which of these two models I should go for, or is there another option you’d suggest over these two that would feel like a clear upgrade from the HD 560S?
Both great tbh. The harmonic dyne Zeus elite though for single player games would probably be a bit more relaxed feeling which could be nice. The 490 is still more analytical. A bit more fun on the elite
@@FreshReviewsYT Thanks a lot once again for the explanation! :D I think I might have to order both pairs because I really can't decide which one would suit me better. I’d like to test them in FPS and AAA games, as well as for listening to music with good bass. Later, I’d return the weaker pair. It also seems that for the HD490, I’d need to order a balanced cable to ensure that my IFI drives them properly and I don’t feel a big difference compared to the Zeuses, which already come with such a cable in the box. This complicates things a bit since not all stores have that cable available. On top of that, the HD490 would end up costing about $150 more. It’s really hard to settle on one of these two models when both are so good! :D Like I mentioned before, my usage will likely shift in about a month-I'll probably spend 90% of my gaming time in FPS and competitive shooters. Then, six months later, I might play more AAA games again, and so on. I also don’t have the budget to keep both pairs, even though I’d love to! :D I’m looking for a sound that’s slightly warmer than the HD560S, and I think you mentioned in your review of the HD490 that it has that quality. On the other hand, maybe the Harmonics have an even more enjoyable sound but with slightly weaker sound positioning. I really can’t decide! :D And I understand it’s hard for you to definitively say, “Go for these, they’ll be better for you,” isn’t it? :D
I'd appreciate a long term review of this. Both the TJExclusives pads I've tried felt really good but, after a couple months of use, started developing weird slow spots all over, cleaning with a soft sponge and neutral dish soap did not fix the issue, which made it a massive dealbreaker for me, since the biggest positive I thought it would have would be long lifespan with a consistent feel. Thanks for the great review as always tho, Mr. Fresh
I’ve been a raiden mid user for the last couple years. I just switched to the sp-004 and I love it but there’s times where I feel like it’s just a little too slippery. Sounds like the kin X would have a little better control but it’s not like way slower right?
@@BeastlyGW I like both a lot for different reasons. The beast feels more like a glass pad. A very fast glass pad and one that slaps. Two different feels and I’m definitely going to be using both
@@FreshReviewsYT Thank you for the reply and the insightful reviews. I have the polarity and the padsmith empress as well as have used the skypad 3. Would you say this pad is slower than the empress?
Yo fresh, everyone is saying this is faster than the old kins. How does this feel compared to the original Cerapad? Keeping in mind that some skates make that pad really slow, and others pretty quick. Is it closer to the kin or the original ?
It’s definitely faster than the kin. But you can definitely get it pretty close with some skates. For instance the pulsar dot skates feel quite a bit slower and more controlled.
@@FreshReviewsYT I thought this was advertised as having more dynamic friction than the kin and about the same static friction? I had hoped it would be the same speed or even slower.
I discuss it in the video. Proprietary coating with a different feel to the touch. Image on top of the pad and not on the bottom of the glass. Depending on the skates, slightly slower.
The speed on this pad is pretty skate dependent. I did most of my testing on obsidian air pro dots.
Its good to see a female design used in an actual artistic way and not just creepy waifu stuff xD
Right ?
So true
The artwork is insane on this pad
Seriously. Very artistic
Very proud of TJX, always quality unique work and usa made 👌
Merica!!!!

I am so excited for this release and the artwork actually looks classy
Yea!

Using the smaller corner skates by the way, not full size.
You have this pad?
@@richboii6597 Yes, I have the KIAH design.

Probably the tea pro if you want it all and have the budget. Comfort of IEMs for me is better than headphones

Didn't they say it has more dynamic friction than the Kin? It's definitely a control pad if that's the case (at least in the glass pad realm 😅)
@ hmmm I’ll have to double check but there certainly is LESS dynamic friction than the Kin. It glides smoother and further than it ever did with the Kin
@@Averithhthat's my observation as well. A much improved smoother and faster experience than the KIN.

What is the best IEM and amp/dac for Valorant in your opinion 🤩

Right now the tea pro is a solid option

Using obsidian pro dots btw on a FM large.
With obsidian pros you should be ok
how is the box/packaging? i know the cerapad kin’s packaging was not as good as other glass solutions
It was good. It came in cardboard packaging with foam protectors on each corner of the pad and the pad was wrapped in a protective wrapper as well
that combo goes hard
Thanks, what budget dac you recommend for PlayStation I have the Arête
Maybe the gunnr
You think this will be a good pickup for someone wanting to try and get into hard pads?
I think so yea

I hope it’s more similar to the original cerapad. Must be quite a bit faster if you’re willing to use slow skates like that on it

Yea for sure
Having a custom glass pad is insane, especially for us dads.
Yea!
Great review as always 🔥
Thank you again
I know the cera pad is more controlled focused for a glass pad? Is this the same or is it more towards speed
It feels speedier than the original kin imo
so it feels open and unrestrictive buut the overall speed is on the slower end? Sounds like a great surface
Yea essentially. The speed was also fairly different with different skates as well. But overall it didn’t feel restrictive at all
The fact that they offer full custom artwork is insane, I'll definetly pick one up with a picture of my dog or something

sounds great but after playing on superglide v2 i cant imagine playing on anything with more than 2mm thickness
