No agent should have the ability to completely remove the value of an OP. it's the most expensive item in the game, and 1 agent makes it useless. What's the point of Eco if they allow Double tap to exist like it does. It's something that should only be done once per round, if at all. Also since the devs don't want abilities to be used in Iso's Ult. They need to make it so he can't have Double Tap on in there. It's pretty much a free kill for all ranks because it's never a fair duel. Iso and Neon really need complete reworks.
@@pianissimo7121 iron is just hopeless to be honest cuz its easy to climb from there and then get stuck in bronze and silver whereas when you place into bronze or silver it is easier to climb out of that rank (in my experience)

I think icebox as a run it down map is able to show its strength best. The biggest issue with iso in traditional pro play is that his best ability also tells every enemy exactly where he is.
I feel like giving gekkos dizzy the ability to break his shield is a good counter for iso. Most flashes don’t touch the enemies, but dizzy basically goes through isos shield to flash him which doesn’t really make sense.
Small anti iso ult tip: when the barriers are still up, quidkly peek and shoot his body (easier to hit than the head) to break his shield, and you'll still have a few seconds before the barrier dissapears.
I'm confused why they got rid of the 2 kill reset when they could have just got rid of the orb refresh and kept the 2 kill reset. Having a instant refresh just makes it almost impossible to trade if Iso is pushing with his team.
its not impossible if you set up a crossfire, iso has to readjust his crosshair constantly in order to refresh the shield, so trading an iso is surprisingly easy and very valuable
Bro EXACTLY, I started using stinger and it is ridiculously overpowered. Even if you aim at body, the recoil makes sure you headshot which if against an iso, essentially means you break his shield, get a body shoot, then recoil gives you 2 headshots. Thats enough to kill someone full shields btw

You forgot about the most broken part of ISOs ability. You literally can’t counter it. Almost every agent in the game gives you a warning when they use their ability, and even the ones who don’t, give you time to avoid the ability, like breach for example. But with iso, by the time he yells his voice line, you’ve already been pulled into his ult, giving you zero chance to avoid it.
This is common in a lot of pvp games, they introduce a character or an ability that counteracts the Core Gameplay! It's really difficult to introduce these kinds of characters/mechanics without them being overpowered or underwhelming. It's why abilities that freeze other players are usually broken too, it removes a core gameplay element. When designing characters it's better to innovate on design in the direction the game is already moving.
He fundamentally breaks the economy of the game. In my opinion he will always be over tuned as long as he is able to insta activate a shield and negate operator investments.
Just make it so he can’t shield before getting a kill to move the agency away from the player with the advantage. Then he requires a thoughtful fight with a different enemy or 50/50 aim check with the awp player to push past.

The same thing is happening in Apex. Revenant has an ultimate SHIELD that gives him extra 75hp and refreshes every kills. He also the apex equivalent of a super dash. “”Suuuuper fun to fight””
The problem with running an Odin is that it gives away your position, is so OUTRAGEOUSLY inaccurate to the point where it can't even hold a candle to a shotgun in accuracy, and unless you SPECIFICALLY buy it to shoot through walls which can leave you vulnerable in ANY OTHER situation... you're basically guaranteed to lose any 1 v 1.
I think this buff shows how a little more time can turn a 1kill into 3 4 kills. If you think about it with the shields he just has an extra bullet or extra 0.2 seconds to play but that tiny window is enough to convert a single or no kills into multiple kills. I think that ISO is balanced rn with this patch for pro play because you can counter him, but i think he is still a menace for ranked people. (And im still waiting the day someone will send yoru clone further to cancel out ISO ult)
I literally just learned how Iso's one tap actually worked right now, though thankfully he did get nerfed by lowering the duration of his double tap. But 12 seconds is still a really long time in Valorant, though nowhere close to the insanity that was 20
tbh Domain expansion isnt broken. It is no better than raze rocket or deadlock cocoon instakills, reyna ult snowballing or phoenix free peek for trading. Iso ult is the same but now he can ult shielded so it is a half decent ult
As an yoru main, i just hold clone whenever he has his ult and just clone it, 1 less enemy and 1 less ult to be preocupied with, it's even better in a 1v1, i just clone and defuse lol

Domt get me wrong, the buffs are great, too stong, but they nerfed it to a good compromise.... However, I am still so sad his pickrate is higher. He's my favorite agent to play
Because you don't balance a COMPETITIVE GAME around CASUAL players who don't have a clue what they are doing. You balance the game around the hardcore players who know what they are doing because they make up the portion of the player base that stays around the longest and doesn't immediately ditch the game for the new call of duty every year.
Teets idk how complicated it would be for this game but what if the duel iso creates just makes a big circle on the ground to show where they both are and they still go to the arena leaving the duel ring on the ground. But the thing would be, if either team could see the other dueling players water footsteps they can call it out. They also should make the duel arena more filled with angles
What I find funny is that people don’t realize that Iso is a result of the poor design choice having Vandal be a 1 shot headshot causes. He’s a ripple from that very design. If the vandal didn’t one shot, Iso wouldn’t be as much of a problem and likely wouldn’t even exist in the first place.
just buy a short every round and shoot ur bullets through the smokes, even if 1 bullet hits him it will break the shield, always works for me in my ranked games
I don't understand. The shield is his utility. And it can be countered by a ton of other utilities. Like anything that does damage or just flash. Or you can peek from an unexpected angle. Or use chambers tp to pop a shield with a body shot and escape. Only see it being a problem in pro games where everything is calculated and mistakes are minimal, but that's a long going problem of balancing for all ranks and pro games at the same time. And the fact that it's free is pretty weird too
Valorant bout to have the same exact problem as blackbeard from siege. Where the character is 1 patch away from being too strong or too weak and no in between

I know game balance, I know tournaments and all but I will never understand why everything has to be so balanced, like I know Pre nerf Chamber and Iso were amazing, but that felt like a challenge when they were against me and fun when in my team, but when everything is this balanced, this much fine tuned, it just feels boring like no character has any personality, all are just there

As a bronze, the shield and vulnerable makes no difference. Our duels last so long that the shield runs out before we land a bullet.

His shield confidence buff definitely helped my confidence.

But all the pellets hit at the same time, so they are all the "first pellet". Unless I'm mistaken.

12:21 the shock dart didnt miss. It was a combo with iso's vulnerable for anyone trying to pick the orb. it left jett with half hp.
It did miss. Jett took 0 damage. Had it hit for full or close to full damage, Jett would've died.
