I love my Wiral, I have had it since 2019 and I still use it all the time.
It's cool the smell that the Wiral motors make when they meet salt water. It's like a robotic essential oil

Still use mine and love it. Most recently with the A7SIII and the Tamron 35-150mm for a bandits-running-into-battle shot. Keep up the great work, Jesse.

Bought one for Supercrawl livestream concerts back during COVID but didn't use it much. I'd imagine it's sitting untouched in a closet somewhere now if you want to reach out they might part with it.
I have one, and get a lot of use out of it, but there are a couple issues I wish they would fix in a update

Living in the DC metro, I have to get commercial drone approval for absolutely any aerial shots… for something like an entire 20 mile radius. And some locations are an absolute non-started. These thing presents a decent alternative.
Also discontinued but the Syrp Slingshot is a version of a Wiral Heavy but you may have to find it second hand.
Unfortunately the Syrp was only built for Timelapse, the Wiral was FAST.

Can you replace that cable with a metal one? Do you think that would work to move safely the fx3?
I actually planned on trying just that, as long as the diameter is the same I think it would work fine.
Hi Jesse, your video is only a month old, so I hope you still have the Wiral Lite CableCam. I've had mine for a few years, but I've never updated the firmware. There have been firmware updates in the past (the latest is 1.5, I think) and they allow the ping-pong movement, where the cam moves back and forth between the start and end points.
I've downloaded the two Wiral Lite apps for Android. But when I try to install an update, I get the error message "firmware update file missing".
Wiral still has a website online, but it doesn't seem to be maintained anymore and the contact page no longer exists. Perhaps you have an update file that you could give me? Or perhaps one of your followers can help me if someone sees this?
zv-e1 on a rs3 mini gimbal works fabulous on my wiral lite.

@@DallascurriePro only minimally. About the same amount as any large professional cable cam system does. Surprisingly strong.
Why don’t you partner with small rig or someone and make your own creator branded one? Everyone seems to be doing stuff like that these days.
Good idea
1. This is gonna be a low volume product.
2. It requires some engineering, i.e. R&D
3. To get something of this size to be built well, imo, it will either have to be mass produced or built in low volume production runs. Which means either the vendor will have to buy a lot of parts and then keep inventory or they'll have to have smaller production runs with an ODM. The latter of which will cost much more.
I don't think you can build something like this for cheap on a whim, I'd like to be proven wrong tho
This is a niche product and unless there's some kind of a Kickstarter or presale, I don't even see the bigger brands picking this up
@@8lec_RThis is exactly right. I know some companies that I could partner with, but unfortunately the market is SLIM. Probably why Wiral never really took off and eventually just disappeared.
