It's not the final performance of these units in this video.
For those who volunteered to help with the translation work, you can join the Corona Mod Unofficial Server. We'll run some simple test before joining the translation group to test if you are both good in Chinese and English. The translaters can get access to the mod's close beta test.
We are going to translate some contents twice, from Chinese to English by native Chinese speakers and then native English speaker can rewrite them and make the articles look better , so we are also looking for expert English writers for translation work.

I've always felt like the Naginata cruisers were a bit off. I never liked the look of the old model. This new model is a massive improvement!

It was greatly amusing to watch those torpedos jump up like salmon. Also nice to see them able to fly, I'm glad you haven't forgotten the Empire's element of transformation. Breathtaking presentation with the Shogun!

I like how the devs adds multiple sub weapons for the ship. It always bothers me why gigantic ship in the original game only equipped with only 1 or 2 guns while irl ships are basically armed to the teeth to face different type of threats.
Would be nice if the Tachi was armed with Type-3 Shells for AA since it also uses its 200mm Shirada cannons for AA compared to the Shogun Battleship with dedicated AA capabilities
Well, the real answer is "gameplay balance".
Corona devs' answer to gameplay balance is "when everyone is overpowered, no one will be."

As a world of warship player, the Yamato battleship pleases me! The slow turning rate of the turret, the placements of the secondary triple guns, just so so good!
Honestly I thought the Slava Battlecruiser was bonkers enough already, and then we get what the original Shogun Battleship from the vanilla game should've been.
Naval combat was my favorite part of RA3, can't wait to try it with this mod.

@@essex3777 I felt like it greatly improved over RA2's naval combat, though maybe it could be lackluster compared to other RTS games. I wouldn't know since the only other RTS I played with naval combat was Supreme Commander and that was on a whole different scale compared to C&C
@@oblitergaming9817 well I could be called an 'arcade purist' I like to have different classes like destroyer, cruiser, battleship etc, etc. I like that each class has the weapon that's expected to be on the ship. I expect a certain amount of realism but not to the point that it would ruin the theme of flow of gameplay.
I guess, Science Mod can steal all this models for creating a better mod, but for now the best mod actually is science mod. Corona Mod it won't be the best mod, But It has most epic models.
@@essex3777 Ahh, well then I guess we have a similar reason to look forward to this mod. I enjoyed RA3's naval combat over that of previous Red Alert titles but every ship being dedicated purely to one role for easy balance and countering was pretty annoying.

The EOTRS has always been my favorite faction and is what drew me to the game in the first place. Loving the nods to history especially with the Kaiten and the fact that's clearly based on the Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka, I sincerely hope to play this mod in the future. Good luck and great work. Keep it up
the new Japanese untis are very slick! and all your models are so detailed! is amazing what the RA3 engine was capable of doing in that game and still looks gorgeous! proud to be involved in the making of this game years ago..and have my name in the credits for providing Support and ideas to the devs. 😍♥️

Just when you thought you could escape the Sakura Kaiten Torpedo by running out of the water....it grows wings and a rocket engine! That's like saying if Jaws grew legs and chased you to death!
Loving the historical references you're making here though. The Naganita resembles the Akizukis with the rapid firing guns and quad torpedo launcher, Tachis are clearly a reference to the Takaos with effectively the same loadouts and sleek designs, while the Shogun...well, basically a retro-futuristic Yamato. And I thought the Slava Battlecruiser was big enough already....
I still hope the Empire should get their own aircraft carrier though, considering they were the pioneers of the concept. Preferably something like the IJN Akagi or Kaga.

Makes sense with IRL history, not so much with EotRS design philosophy. They don't bother with aircraft carriers because why bother with a mobile airfield when half your army can spontaneously become aircraft?
Well, I read in the moddb page that they want to add subfactions, so maybe one of them will have an aircraft (drone?) carrier to represent that

Finally something for the Rising Sun, and it's great! The Tachi somewhat reminds me of the Myoko and especially the Takao class.
That and Mogami.
Basically, the whole Heavy Cruiser fleet of the IJN.
i think the tachi is supposed to be aoba or furutaka or takao class ijn maya maya has four turrets instead of five

I am impressed on the fact that you based the model of the Shogun Battleship off the Yamato.
The Naginata may have changed designation but she is still a torpedo cruiser at heart.

the frontal configuration reminds me of the hatakaze-class destroyers of the jmsdf because the missile launcher is in front of the gun while the gun superfires above it altho the naginata has a asroc launcher instead of a missile launcher or is it the other way

Well pearl harbor and the entirety of hawaii is still under the protectorate of the Empire.
Except Pearl Harbor belongs to Japan in the "original" timeline of the lore.
I love the new Japanese naval units. I also appreciate you redesigning the Shogun Battleship and Naginata. The original Naginata cruiser always felt for me out of place as it felt too blocky in comparison to the Japanese slick and nimble design. The new design is exactly what I wanted! I love this mod!

You had me at the Tachi cruiser, i was literally confused how the Twinblades died until i noticed it was the main guns and i feel sorry for the allied navy now cuz you need a 2 to 1 ratio against the Empire. Well not that it changed much in the vanilla. Also the Shogun = Yamato i loved it so much it made my day it literally made my day the second i saw side mounted AA, secondaries and a literal throw back to the Yamato's superfiring mounts

True FACT : Sakura Kaiten Torps Reference by Kaiten were manned torpedoes and suicide craft mix with Ohka (櫻花, Ōka, "cherry blossom" or "Sakura") were manned rocket aircraft used by the Imperial Japanese Navy in the final stages of World War II
I'm giggling like a little girl when I saw that you put AA on the Shogun Battleship. Nice touch.
I like the way how they are focusing on the navy like everyone has a OP navy as warships possess many weapons and RA3 had a claim about emphasized naval battles.
I mean "OP navy" for instance, Tachi acts pretty much a heavy destroyer and it was the last unit standing after it engaged non anti navy regular units.

I don’t think that shadow is a Rising Sun unit since it is marching behind a strong CE group of tanks, it might be a CE giant mech, and since CE’s heavy tank can already stand up to King Oni in equivalent numbers, I wonder how strong can the mech get

@@joezhou622 True I forgot every faction is getting a super unit. That would be kinda weird though because they would basically have two. The Celetial's MCV looks like it's a monster when fully upgraded, you add another super unit and that's just unfair lol..
And I think they were just showing the heavies vs the old RA3 King Oni. I think they've put their own spin on the King Oni or made an even heavier unit that matches Celetial's heavies better since they are having a 4 tier system instead of the normal 3 tier.

The Devs replied to a comment in one of the videos asking about balance and they basically said that since it's their promo vid they're presented in a way to make them look strong
@@jonsong4592 Soviets by far have the best tanks out of the factions. It seems the EotRS keep their status of having the best navy of all the factions. From what I see, the Celestials are jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none types. They are equal to or outclass their competitors in all fields except the final tier of each army type. Celestial ships can't compare with the EotRS, Celestial tanks can't compare with the Soviets.
Now it's a question of whether the Allies' air power remains OP. Considering the simple existence of cryocopters, I can assume yes.

I love these new models, both aesthetically and conceptually. I do think the sakura torpedos should be smaller, in the category of bears or dolphins, but should have more contrasting colors to make them easier to spot, otherwise they may get very anoying to counter. Also, for both the naginata and tachi vessels, the torpedo turrets would look better if they had a lower yet wider profile, making them more noticeable from the top view, with a single row of torpedos each. They look a bit out of place compared to the other turrets and the overall design.

the biggest thing i am hoping for from this mod is the return of ore fields in stead of those little ore things
Fallenslayer1 Red alert 1 and 2 were more casual but RA3 is competitive. Changing the resource aspect to return to the RA 1 and 2 hurts the competitive aspect of the game design. I won't debate, the two previous resource gathering are better. It just doesn't fit the entire game design of red alert 3 where every decision matters to victory, will you pull back one damaged tank or pull them all? Defend an expansion or not? Capture an oil derrick or fail? Each decision is matters which leads into a very competitive level of play.

I notice naval units are being reworked which is amazing, any chance other units can be redesigned as well? Like, Kirovs for example being turned into a sort of flying fortress considering how lackluster they are now or twinblades being made larger to reflect their role as a transport helicopter, looks kinda odd to have tiny choppers carrying huge tanks.
