Your videos are amazing! I am applying for medical for the 2020 cycle in May of 2019 and I’ve been OVERWHELMED like no other. I’m scared, nervous, but excited to potentially have the opportunity to become a doctor. I love how you openly say,” oh i don’t know what I’m doing” or like,” oh I’m stressed but it’s okay!” That really comforts me because my impression of medical students are like all knowing, has everything together, completely smart, ect kind of people. I am starting yr 3 in abt 2 wks. But our school is a little different. We have para-clinicals where we get our first taste of actual ward duty. But we also have pharm, pathophys, path, micro and immuno of all the systems. So we did the normal in the 1st 2 years and now we are doing the pathological in this yr. But our 2nd yr mostly mimicked yours. I just want to tell you to stay focus and strong. Dont worry about the limited time, just keep going and everything will fall into place. Have fun and embrace the stress. Many have successfully completed before us and you will too.
A bit late but could you link where you bought the planners? I can’t find one with a vertical weekly layout to save my life and I end up with an array of eternal to do lists scattered all over the place! Help! Ahaha Keep going! Med school is freaking hard but you can do it! Go for it!

Sooo we are basically on the same wavelength. Planners and colored pens are my favorite school supplies to shop for and totally help with motivation to study. And I buy myself fresh flowers and candles to have on my desk at all times. At least when I'm buried in books all weekend and staring at a white wall in front of me, the colors and vanilla/sugar cookie/pumpkin scents make it slightly more tolerable? haha And yes, I hoard bath and body works pumpkin scented candles so I always have them year round. lol

Your schedule is crazy! My school isn't 8-5 every day so we have a lot more built in study time (2-3 days a week are 1-5pm). How are you balancing the schedule and getting to study every day? Do you still try to study 3-4 hours even after a full day with clinic? (We officially start real classes tomorrow 😆)

My med school is the opposite when it come to difficulty(so I’ve heard, I’m just an M1). They make first year’s schedule super hard with tests almost every Monday while a lot of 2nd year is self-paced study with block exams happening every 6 weeks or so.
