- Halo RUclipsr "The Act Man" did a video in which he attempted to kill all the marines on legendary. So I tried it as well and completed it. I left the Arbiter standing there as he onehits you and "killing" him doesnt actually do anything as he just gets up a few seconds later. He is not a marine, too, but Johnson is , and I "killed" him twice.

Pretty much yea, mostly because of their hitscan weapons vs the covenant projectile based weapons

I also heard recently that they have 100% accuracy against the player when betrayed, so that probably makes it much harder too.
@@sonsofisstvan1675oh yeah that’s where the logic of halo pretty much falls on its backside that these fancy high tech alien weapons can actually be dodged out the way of. Why would hyper intelligent aliens make weapons like that

I always wondered why the marines do so much damage than the covenants,
This is what the Spartans were created for. Not to kill aliens, but humans. Not to defend humanity, but the interests of Earth and ONI. All the Spartan-IIs were born around 2511, abducted around 2517, and reached fully complete training and supersoldier augmentation around 2525- the same year the Covenant declared war.
The timing is neat enough that the Spartans' priorities quickly shifted to being noble heroes fighting for the survival of all mankind- but still, this may have canonically happened once or twice, before Earth and the Insurrection allied against their common enemy.
The spartans started fighting at 14?
@@Spicystachegamer Yup. That was the age where they underwent bone augmentation. About half of them were killed by the procedure.

@@Spicystachegamer 150 children were considered eligible for the program, 75 were kidnapped and actually started it. I'm not 100% on the following numbers, but I think 33 fully fledged Spartan-IIs were the result, 12 surviving but not suitable for combat, and 30 dying on the operating table.

i did this with my friend, we held up basically where you did, it took more than a few attempts and almost every time we almost killed them all, one of us would accidentally kill johnson and it was over from there XD
You can also push Johnson through most of the level. Can bring a brute shot along, so when he stands up at this stage, he won't have any gun and just tries to push you a bit hehe.

Yes, at the end of his video he basically said if someone has a clip of doing it, he could send it to him. So I just gave it a try and when i completed it i send him a private message on Twitter with the link.

Personally I get to attached to my marine friends For some reason. I just feel like chief wouldn't do something like this. Plus I think of them and their family and friends. I know their supposed to be treated like pure cannon fodder, but it just doesn't feel right. Am I the only one?

Yeah for real, these marines felt more like actual persons than the robot-like-marines from Halo 4/5.
@@ltsn0taaron719 They looked better in Combat evolved through Reach too, in Halo 4 they had terrible bright colored plastic looking armor and 5 they're in like paintball gear lol

@@ltsn0taaron719 Yeah the fifth game (and 4th to a slightly lesser extent) looked _way_ too sleek like some Warframe ripoff, *SO* glad Infinite is going back to the classic aesthetic with the more industrial military look we all knew and loved, I hope Reach style customization returns too

What about the marines later on in the level?
The challenge was only for the first area. However technically it is possible to kill all of them on legendary, but you dont get any Checkpoints in the mission until waaaay later on which makes it a pain on legendary + when you reunite with the arbiter after the first drone encounter, he will instantly onehit you with his dual plasma rifles, making it impossible/a waste of time.
@@ltsn0taaron719 oh I see, that's fair. if the arbiter is the problem then it should be feasible with co-op.
@@diothemaid Co-op should make this a lot easier for sure. Might give it a try in the future.
