  • Me playing a test game in an older build of the 5.0 update for Remake.
    It has since changed direction considerably and what you see here is no longer representative of what might be release under the banner of 5.0 in the future.

    Also the AI voice announcer is a neat way of getting around using a real VO to do impressions of the original performance. The detail of having the announcer specify whether your building a starfighter squadron and a full-blown starship is great too!

    So I’m gathering that Capital Ships like the ISD and Aggressor we saw here are far more suited to burst dps, rather than being a super tanky focal point of your fleets.

      They are very tanky, the ISD more so than the Aggressor, which puts out more concentrated damage.
      I wanted to use the ISD to siege the enemy station, but that Aggressor was in the perfect spot to really put the hurt on me.

    And one last question, those extra sound effects when you focus on the dogfights are awesome too! Do they only play when you zoom in on them like that, or are they baked into some of the lines?

    Looks great, but those particle effects for siege artillery are completely out of place... I think thats an easy removal through .xml text files, but maybe someone will make a submod to get rid of those

    They should lower HP of the base in Skirmish. 45 mins for a fight is too much, when you already dominated from 20th minute (captured center of the map) and had your ISDs from 32th minute by enemy base

    Sorry but for me the best Remake version is the 2.2 to 3.5, more pop cap and the ISD are more terrifying, everything have a balance but in 4.0 in my opinion is boring to play and the empire is a little bit trash, the rebels and the pirates are OP, the rebels with the K wing, soo much speed extremely good armament and they can easily annihilate with little support 2 ISD. And the Pirates with the mandalorian ships are very good and they have the ballistic armament and they can penetrate the shields, the point here is they can get this weapons very soon. And I want to have back the Battlecruisers from 2.2-2.5, the Annihilator and the other one, I want to spawn the Executor and all those super cool super stardestroyers. The 2.2 version have a LOT of original ships in skirmish and the galactic conquest and the fights were more dynamic and enjoyable, this new versions is like getting 2 ISD and watch 30min an extremely long fight. Please take in consideration what you guys did in the old versions and apply that on the new 5.0

      Well if you want a mindless sandbox power fantasy then yeah those older versions were pretty great. We actually want to make a proper RTS game now so we've moved on from that.

      but yall drag out fights over 30 minutes for two ships with zero diversity or anything to make it unique,,,,thats if the mod doesnt crash @@lukelasermaster3128

    I mean it looks great gameplay wise. If only those ugly ass black powder style muzzle flashes for the super heavy lasers could be addressed.
