- Well, this is me, playing the fifth or sixth mission of the Orc campaign. Umm yeah, i got my ass raped. If you try to attack those crossbowmen on the bridge too early you end up like me. The game itself is mostly about spamming summons (like those scorpions of the humans).
Damn, why do i always suck ass when i try to record videos. - Развлечения
THIS IS HOW THE MOVIE SHUD LOOK
Haha
Pretty crazy that this franchise is now releasing a feature film with a budget of over $100 million...
This is how the movie looked in 3D when I took off the glasses.
0:09 "Humans suck" Hahahaha! Made me laugh.
Yeah me too hahahahaha
This game was the best game ever when I was about 10 years old. It got me hooked on RTS games for life too. I still find this game fun at times lol.
There's just something about it that made it exciting and full of intrigue/suspense.
13.7 BILLION YEARS BEFORE DOTA 2.
orc buildings look like doughnuts.
1994, Amazing graphics for that year :]
Town hall made me think of pineapple upside-down cake.
Lmao
amazing to hear orc quotes like "lok-tar" and "dabu" even back then. this game is a classic.
The beginning of a great series.
the beggining of the best war game ever
Aaaaah this music brings back so many memories
ZUG ZUG!!..DABU...LOK'TAR...FOR THE HORDE!!!!!
yikes
Oh shit! This was the first game. I ever missed school to play. Faked sick after the first day I played it. Its the only strategy type game I ever played besides the latest Xcom
Never played any of the Warcraft games. I loved this because it made me smile and laugh with joy because seeing the seeds of World of Warcraft is awesome. Thanks for the post. I always seem to feel I missed out on playing these earlier versions. I've been playing WoW for 9 years come December 9th.
cant believe this games gonna be 21 years old soon -_-
this game is one of the reasons why growing up in the 90s was so awesome
i like that screen intro music xD
Hello 1994! 4MB on-board graphics ftw
Nice comments Juser1986. I see that you have played warcraft 1 very much like me and we both like it very much! Warcraft 1 is my favourite game. It owns every other game.
Spiders/scorpions aren't waste of mana. You can make many good strategies with 'em. If enemys haven't upgrade archers bows, spiders can easily kill 'em. But if there are footmans or knights...
Anyway. I'm happy to see that someone likes wc1 so much :)
Dang warcraft 1 is.... weird. I never expected warcraft 1 to be almost exactly like civ just in real time.
If this is what the Warcraft movie is based on, I'd say they did a fucking awesome job XD
Lol what a change in Warcraft 3 !!! :)
I haven't played any of the Warcraft games, only the starcraft game. I still do enjoy jamming a starcraft mission/custom game. Tbh there will be no doubt that I'd play this game as well if I ever got my hands on it
I remember being hooked on this game when I was 15 awesome game in its day.
Orc: Gluk !
LOL They never said that line in WC2 and WC3.
lol almost all comments are in year 2015 or 2014
@SgtAlcatraz do u need warcraft to play warcraft 3 like other games with expansion packs?
man i would really like to try warcraft 1 :p
this is culture, a journey of a thousand miles starts with one single step
I love how the sound still sounds good by today's standerds also I have always wondered what's up with the doughnut town hall?
Remembering the past, and now here comes Warlords of Draenor. Compare Warcraft and WoD now. :D
haha they properly had NO idea how great this would become :)
WC1 released November 23, 1994... WoW released November 23, 2004 (10-year anniversary of the franchise)... WoD releases November *13* 2014... it's releasing 10 days too early!
This was a fantastic game for 1994.
I am 14 right now. you could say i was born in the 90s because i played this game when i was 8
WOW!
warcraft has come a long way
The Humans Draw Near! Classic game still my favorite out of the Warcraft RTS'.
I remember playing this all the time. I was born in that year, but still.
"Quit to DOS"
thanks for posting this
Well. I liked raiders in the 1st one, but I gotta say that I love ogres more than raiders :D "This way, no THAT way!"
@ZergSpawnSC2Armory Trying to get it to work right in XP mode under WIN 7 64bit. Anyone got any hints?
You know you can just click and drag the application onto the DOSBox desktop icon, right?
"Troll headhunter" as spearman?
The very first game i played on computer... no words can express my love for this game...
Just classic. I LOVE the simple graphics, reminds me of a Sega RPG game. I'm buying this one!
I'd really like to know how he got his game to move so fast.I'm running Dosbox and no matter what i do the units move really really slow
I remember that i used to be stunned by graphics like this. Those were great times. This game and the Mechwarrior series.
Why don't they remastered this one
has warcraft 1 & 2 anythint to do with warcraft 3 & world of warcraft`?
For me on this mission it always worked to select all three raiders and the grunt all at once and attack the archers at the bridge immediately then leave them there at the bridge to make sure the humans don't send in conjurers or clerics to hide in certain spots near your town. Then you can strengthen your attack force from there and send in a whole bunch of raiders to lay the smack down.
This is one of the first games I play with a sound blaster
Man, those were the days computer games could fit just a couple of floppy disks! These days you have games going up to 75GB!! How far have we come indeed!
I remembered playing this on a crappy screen chunky-looking laptop computer with a built-in floppy drive... LOL!!!
Back then it was kinda cool to have game voices and SFX coming out of a laptop.
This was possibly my first ever real time strategy game. Well before C&C, Red Alert, KKND, Dune 2000, etc etc.
QUESTION! okay are you playing this on windows vista or xp and is this a newer computer you are playing on AND did you download free DOS to be able to play this?
I wish this was out on xbox one
I suggest using Grunts to scout and keep Raiders and Spearmen at the base for defense. Notice that there is no fog of war. This means you only need to scout once and then you can return your Grunts to your Gold Mine. This is important to defend your mining operations. Don't go near of any bridge! The AI will likely put Archers/Spearmen/Catapults there, they are natural choke points. In WC1, you always do "long distance mining". So build lots of Peons. It's nice to have 8 Peons before the Barracks and 10 Peons before the Lumber Mill. Go straight for Spearmen. Build 4 Spearmen. Then build 5 more Peons. Then build at least 4 more Spearmen. Research all the Lumber Mill upgrades. After that point, you will be able to crush any Knight/Footman/Scorpion attack. You must send Raiders against catapults to intercept them. You must send Spearmen as soon as Clerics/Conjurers get into a position near your base. Now, since you can defend all attacks you are free to mine gold. I believe you will be able to slow push your way across the bridge to the enemy base when you have 8 Spearmen, 4 Raiders, and 1 Catapult. Don't just A move. Instead, build a line of 4 Raiders, 2 lines of 4 Spearmen behind this and a catapult behind that. Every time, move all lines one or two squares forward. It may sound easy, make no mistake, it is not! You have to micro your ass out to be a proficient WC1 player.
Nice job!
What is the warcraft for ps1, this one or tides of darkness?
pretty amazing that this one game went on to produce really good sequels and then WoW which is still probably the most played mmo at the moment.
ah, Jeehun Hwang and Gregory Alper :D even with MIDIs they still managed to create a great soundtrack.
hey man! Use Ctrl to group select (max 3 person). Omg! :)
this looks so hilarious :DD
so battle for middle earth II is modeled after this... is this the original game like this? a resource gathering army making strategy game?
I remember I couldn't beat the third level of the orc campaign when I was younger. I could make it up to the sixth level of the human campaign however. I also had the WC2 expansion, that was a very difficult game, I could only beat a few of those missions too.
i like those funy orc voices
is it porssible to control more than 1 person at a time,,, im stuck at level three,,,, my party becomes too disorganized... what can i do?
@ZergSpawnSC2Armory i would love to but where can i still buy it?
I sure miss playing that game but I found it but my laptop need to be replace to get new one.
A budget re-release is available in some stores since a few years back, though I think you'll have to use DosBox to run it properly, to my knowledge there never was a true win32/windows 95 version, just a DOS version which could be run inside windows 95.
@ZergSpawnSC2Armory i played a demo on my windows xp computer but it doesn't work on windows 7
@ZergSpawnSC2Armory I wish to God i could still play it! i want to be able to play this and the second one and the xpac, anybody know how i can?
OMFG NOSTALGIA
-My Lord?
-My Liege?
-Yes sire?
-What?
-What are you keep touching me?
Warcraft 1 , the old good classic. :)
this looks...GREAT!
can you still get it?
9 years ago... when youtube wasnt full of lets play shit but only uncommented quality gameplay.
i wonder why they removed raiders in the 2nd one.....
How do you make this game run so good? Do you use an old windows or XP?
Man it sucks. I had the Warcraft III complete set or whatever and I can't find it.
LOL i like the save game title... :P
Great! The mission you have to attack the city without destroying the white tower as far as I remember.
I had a demo version of this on my old Macintosh LC but now its dead and thrown
ahh...Old Times of Warcraft....but good game since this was released 1994.
i felt a lust to go buy donuts after i saw that main building :o
@ballpythonmaster Dune 2 ? Command and Conquer?
I wonder what the units say when you keep clicking on them.
command and conquer 1 was the first game of its type to do unit groups. Guess no-one thought of it before :)
@XxXSolidHacksXxX What this game lacks from Starcraft is that the game is hard in terms of managing who to attack. Starcraft was design for every unit to auto attack. IN this game you need to fully control everything. So Microing is the key.
i start playing Warcraft 3 straight when i was around 10 so I didn't really know what and how Warcraft originally looks like. Before then I've no computer, by the time I have, Frozen Throne had already been realised.
I love this game. Thank you Blizzard for giving us amazing games such as warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo!
@Vaconator is it still more good than grammar?
damn.......I use to play the hell out of this game. Me and my older brother would stay up all night during the summer, building a giant base and get as many soldiers to look like a kingdom even thou you only needed like 10 people to beat a base lol
I used to have this game on a freakin floppy disc lol amazing to see how far the game has gone shame they didn't make wc4 though...
warcraft 2 didnt work on mine either but i made it work with a dos box...now i play it all the time and it kicks ass!
And so the story begins..
I played this when I was ten I LOVED bugging the hell out of my minions to hear the funny phrases. ^ ^*
Well, Warcraft I isn't properly a tough game, though in certain missions you have to be quite careful... I didn't save often, and sometimes had to restart the scenario completely pissed off. =)
The thing about Warcraft I is the control system: selecting units and giving commands wasn't immediate as in the following chapter... I played this game a couple of years ago, since I wanted to follow the storyline from its very beginning...
One of the first games i ever played :) your not great at playing this though lol your supposed to build up your base before attacking, form an army, gather resources then attack.
Orc 1 : Ahh~jidwajdowa
Orc 2: doiajdaoi?!
They're in your base killin your doodz xD
"Spearman" as troll head hunterr?
Huh, humans had a scorpio... And this isn't a ballista!
