In the late 1980's to early 1990's I use to see Ricky Morton out and about all the time In Antioch,Tennessee.He was always very nice and polite.
The Midnight Express and the Rock-'n'-Roll Express were a legendary rivalry in wrestling.
Greatest tag team feud ever. Those teams could really work a match together . Morton was great for taking a beating to bring Robert in for the hot tag and Cornette was outstanding as a mouthpiece for the Midnite Express.

What always makes me laugh is, when fans today, look at wrestlers from the 80s & say, "Boy there old" Well what do ya expect? Your talking 20 to 30 years ago. Tell ya what. Take a pic of yourself today, & wait 20 to 30 years, & then take that same pic & look in the mirror & compare the two. Its called GETTING OLD, people. It happens to all of us. I think the fans today watch these youtube clips & or matches or whatever, from back in the day, & expect the wrestlers to STILL LOOK the same, some 20 to 30 years later. That's just not gonna happen. I know this'll come as a bit of a shock to ya. But WE ALL get old. And yes, even the WRESTLERS DO. Now I will say, that some age better than others, but its like I said, its called GETTING OLD. One day, you'll be there to. lol P.S. I'm already there. lol
These guys went through a lot of hard hits. They took a beating. On the go all the time.
It's all about taking care of yourself outside the wrestling ring no matter how long your career is. Unfortunately a lot of them didn't do that.
Wrestlers from today are lucky if they are still alive in 20 or 30 years. Hardcore fans from today's wrestlers in 20 or 30 years would say, " I can't believe I watched this crap."
Bobby Eaton was always the heel but I've always heard nothing but good things from other wrestlers. Layed back and really nice guy.
Bobby was always one of my fav's cause he wasn't cocky in terms of trash talking.....his work as a heel got him over. Got to work a NWA show that he popped in backstage.....super quiet but super friendly at the same time. Kept sharing candy with others from the bag he had with him. Ended up dropping the one he gave me and he insisted I take more.

I don't say this to be rude, but Ricky Morton needs to get rid of that platinum blonde hair. It only serves to magnify his age rather than hide it.

Chauntel Bland It's more like all those years of running hard and fast caught up with him. I like Ricky, but there multiple reasons why he looks "old"... most of which is from the wear and tear from being a pro wrestler and then other factors like alcohol and drugs... I'm guessing he did coke at one point, since most of older veterans did it in the territory days and that's a hell of a drug to abuse for however long he might have done it.
