- A LOT OF THE REASONS THE CON WAS AWFUL WERE MY FAULT LOL like losing my keys and getting heat exhaustion were mostly unrelated (even if the dehydration had a play in it there were a lot of factors)!! Like I said this was my 5th year attending and every other year was wonderful but this year was pretty question marky. I hope they get their staff situation figured out and wish them the best of luck for 2018!!

Pisces Rain It does. It says mixing with alcohol can cause the effects to be way worse. I take Clonazepam for panic attacks and even my regular antidepressant, Paxil, says not to mix them. Be careful, Pixie!

I'm glad my friends and I are not the only ones ultra salty at the con. I had a friend in the masquerade who was live-texting me the whole judging disaster.
Just to clarify, heat stroke and dehydration are two completely different things. It sounds like you had a wicked hangover because you'd didn't hydrate enough, pretty common occurrence. I'm sorry your con ended so poorly, hopefully your next convention turns out better.

hey pixie, I was wondering if you could do a video on slowly incorporating more party/happy/lisa-frank-esque/harajuku peices into a wardrobe? I recently lost a good bit of weight, and during this transitional period with my clothing I'm having some trouble and don't know where to start. thank you~♡♡♡
Just start buying pieces you are comfortable with and use them with your normal pieces
Cheri Page I'm going through a similar situation. Personally, I think thrift stores are a great place to start! I like finding statement pieces there and it's quite affordable in case something doesn't fit or it's not quite your style.
Cheri Page I think a good place to look is depop! There's a ton of alternative people (like jfashion/kawaii fashion) selling stuff on there for pretty good prices
maybe try with accessories first. I know forever 21 has a ton of very party Kai accessories and of course clairs but if seen a ton on the f21 website.
accessories can really make any simple outfit different so it'll give you a feel and you see if you like it or not

The con was certainly a little lacking this year, and I myself had a small disaster when I found out that I couldn't stay at the dorms like I had planned to (my dad ended up driving me back and forth to Fredericton, he's awesome
Sounds like JapanFest in Atlanta in 2016. Worst convention I could imagine, because it was so unorganized and the space was WAY too small, and the crowds were way, way, WAY too big for the venue. I really wanted to love it, but after having to stand on the side of the stage for the taiko performance and not getting to eat ANYTHING all day because the lines for food were ridiculous and people had to sit on the floor in the hall to eat because all the seats were taken ALL day... ugh. Nightmare. I was (THIS) close to smacking people, but I realized they were probably all just as annoyed as I was.

Alcohol actually dehydrates you, so you probably where very dehydrated, considering you had no water before hand, sounds like it's not a good con if it didn't prepare facilities, I get that staff walked out, but I'm confused, if they had prepared it better before hand and then walked out there might have been a few more happier people.
My favorite anime is always gonna be Say I Love You. It's really short but it's got a really cute plot and cute characters!

Sorry about your bad experience. My worst con was a couple of years ago, I had one of the main staff members get away with cutting me in line for a VA autograph, then the VA himself was a bit rude, nearly ruined my whole day. Hope your next con's better!

I feel your pain. When Melbourne got it s first comiccon its was so horrendously put together and ran. Too many tickets were sold and the space it was held too small. So they were only letting people in a few at a time. And even those who had paid for their tickets in advanced weren't guaranteed entry. They stopped selling tickets at the door (which is fine really). I had friends who pre purchased tickets and didn't even make it in. There were sooooo many unhappy people. Since then they have organised so much better.
Okay but I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's gotten 2-drinks drunk and puked the whole rest of the con. I felt hungover after ALA2014 for a solid two months. Hope you feel better, fellow lightweight!

Last year I went to Minnesota Comic Con, and there wasn't very much to do in terms of cosplay judging or contests, which made me super sad! My friends and I came together and cosplayed as Fionna, Cake, and Marshall Lee from Adventure Time, and it was super fun! It was quite spendy as tickets were $50 (usd) for the DAY alone, and food was WAYYYYYY over priced, even for a convention. It was my first con experience, and I thought it to be pretty okay! (Also Little Witch Academia is my favorite anime right now! Trigger just released the series of it, and UHFRBUHFSKVJDAK IT'S WONDERFUL.)

I thought so. I still felt sick on the Monday so that explains it :~( I would have brought a water bottle but we had NO idea we were going to be standing there for hours and then go straight from judging to the stage. Next time I will be armed with a Precure water bottle lol

Hey! I know i'm not pixie but honestly if that's what makes you happy go for it, if your boyfriend does not appreciate how much effort you're putting into expressing yourself then he isn't worth it. If you wanna portray your style with really cute happy fashion, go for it! Don't let anyone tell you how to live your life especially if it's something that represents you. Also, if he really cares for you he won't judge you no matter what, since it makes you happy, self expression is beautiful. I hope this comes as any help for you 💜
