a jog or walk outdoors, gym, reading books get the bus or metro to know more the city. Visit your library, meet groups. There so much to do. If TECHNOLOGY would disappear the world would continue for me. Don't use cellphone that much, except when I get your notifications. haha. Goodnight

I stayed like 2 days without any source of internet, phone, camera bla bla bla and i found a lot of cool things that actually surround me everyday. It was awesome and i'd love to repeat this as often as possible.

I just never feel the need to stare at a screen outside because its draining and i do it enough at home when i'm alone, which i think is acceptable. IMO if i'm hanging out with someone and they're glued to their phone i find it extremely rude.
It is fascinating how important the internet has become so important and how dependent we as society have become on it, despite it only being around for about 30 years now. For me, since both of the classes I take for university are online, it would literally be impossible for me to live without the internet and get my degree. I could go maybe one day without internet for this, but otherwise I would fail my classes. Heck, even most in person classes have come to depend on the internet for their curriculum implementation. Even for me outside of school, many of my hobbies have come to depend on the internet for me to be able to do them. RUclips and Netflix require internet. There are some video games I can play without internet, but my two current favorites (overwatch and clash Royale) require me to have internet access to play against other people. Another hobby of mine is conlanging (creating a language for those who don't know). While this theoretically doesn't require internet access, I use the internet to research other languages and draw inspiration from them. I'm also planning to download software soon to help me organize my conlang better. This includes a dictionary application (if I can find a good one that's easy to use), and I recently downloaded a software to create the symbols for my conlang, but I still can't figure out how to use it. I'm also pretty active on my Facebook, Snapchat, and twitter. I think it kinda shows when I go to my relatives houses who don't have internet, and I find it a bit boring there.
Thanks, I was thinking that. A while back I use to go to a bar on 86st St in Manhattan, New York called Little Finnland owned by Mrs. Kalervo It was moved to 1710 Second Avenue. I had good times dancing and playing pool.There were Estonians Swedes and Latvians there too (there may have been people from other countries). It was a very nice and friendly atmosphere.
When I went to Colorado with a bunch of people, we weren't allowed our phones for an entire week. I was actually excited because phones distract others from actually bonding and without the phones meant talking and actually living! By the end of the week, I got my phone back, but I didn't want it back. It was a great week

I think socialmedia has caused a chronic non-thinking-thing for people these days and it shows in everything. How people treat each other and what kind of choices they do.... When you dont hang online 24/7 you actually start to use your brain, just think, and go through things.... Something that people really need to do more. Everyone should do this at least once a month or week
I lowkey like when my parents take my phone because I start being really progressive and start to be more active and social, it's amazing what being disconnected from the internet and social media can do. It's definitely something everyone should try doing.

Last summer I went quite long without social media. It was a great experience and interesting how there was almost no use to even turn the computer on and check my phone just to know what time it is or if someone called. I somehow felt 'alive' and spending hours scrolling on my fb wall through nothing felt really stupid. Now the internet in our apartment stopped working a few days ago and the 3g doesnt really work well inside the building and I get SO angry! I sit at the computer table, keep trying to restart the router, refresh chrome, .. and it just makes me so stressed and angry! Thanks for the video, i think it's time for another break from social media for me!! 😄

I did a 6hr internet fast today, and I'm doing 12hrs next Friday, then 18 the next, then 24hrs. Gonna try to do 24hrs no internet once a week. 30 minute limit on app games every day rest of the week. I read a lot (The Gulag Archipelago), played guitar for hours, took a bath, played with my cats, wrote stuff and meditated. It really slowed my brain and anxiety down a whole bunch. The hard part is finding stuff to do when you're first starting but it's actually awesome.
Good for you! Hopefully you will cut down an hour or two from using social media. It really does makes you feel a bit more fresh in a sense. It's kinda weird because I have almost an addiction to my computer but I still have days when I can spend the whole day without it or my phone. Not that often tho lol

I went completely off the grid for a month and by that I meant small town living, in an island where everybody knows everybody and I've got almost everything that I needed in my backyard. And I loved it. definitely going to do it again. ❤👌👍
