Matt, more props to the "Taco". Nice move, you did everything right. Now paint the outside of the abandoned house, will enhance the entrance. Love what you're done. My wife is from Bayamon.
RVs are not forgiving when it comes to leaks. Get some Dicor tape sealant to put between the trim and siding, then seal the trim down. That Dicor tape is a life saver.
Love Matt’s Macho Man dissertations that make me laugh out loud and love Kris-ten’s able, bouncy, attitude that warms my heart. What a great pair of entertaining jungle tamers! Can’t get enough!
I don't care what ANYbody says, THAT fence looks professional. But you're right. When the hurricanes come they will tear up EVERYTHING. Fingers crossed. BTW my wife loved the shot of the beautiful chickens best. Happy trails.
my only concern for the location.. and obviously i only speculate.. is that they are already mentioning the wet clay. when they hit the rainy season.. or hurricane season.. are they going to be under water?
Pro tip...when spraying stain someone should be following and back brushing. Works the stain into the wood so it will protect and last longer also evens the stain out...
Trust your own judgement with the fence, it's really easy to do it better from the couch. If anything, it's stronger than most people build, just stand back and admire your hard work guys.❤👍
Guys, I never thought I never thought building in the woods would be so entertaining. Believe it or not it’s much better than sailing. If you get a chance please talk about your neighbors, how far away do they live, friendly, crime, cops friendliness, etc.
"Green Acres is the place for be.... Farm living is the life for me. Land spreadin' out so far and wide. Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside." Way to go.. love you guys.
That new area is amazing. Little concerned about solar, it is in a shaded bowl. May have to put the 'solar field' a distance away into the sun, but you can run wires. That new area, is sureal...so calm, and all you're hear is the sound of the river. I'm envious. 🤩🤩🤩
Crazy. Full send Mattie. LoL ❤. That bumper on poor ole Taco…I can’t believe it held. 😮. That camper is gunna sunk Mattie. She’s gunna sink in that ground up to her axles, so I am sure you’re gunna put them 4x4 post under tires and jacks. 😊. What a great place to put that thing though. I am jealous for sure. Way to get er done!!! Concrete pad looks good. You should put them skills to use and pour another pad for your camper.. nice….loving it
Spray tan 🤣🤣🤣 that is hilarious! I think the word is out on the island among the animal community...if you want 3 squares a day, head over to Matty and Kristen's place. Looking Good GBU!
Dude and Dudess Based on all the advice on the fence!!! the solution is clear, take all the 1x 8 down then the wind can blow right through. Keep up the good entertainment and I will keep watching !!
Bungle in the Jungle! Taco performed like a Tahoe. Never thought I would be more impressed than the Clifford install but you have exceeded that. Kudos.
AT ONE TIME IN MY LIFE, I bought and sold land....land speculator....One of the first points I inspected was whether or not the land flooded. You are down there by a little stream. Notice all the mountains around you? In a really rainy episode, the volume of water from those mountains can be higher than you think....Walk around the area and see if you detect any craw fish mounts or even holes. If that low land floods, they will build mounds....Next, look for debris left over from rising water, such as twigs and leaves in the lower limbs or even debris which pile up around tree trunks. Perhaps Matt already checked for leftover flood debris. Matt is extremely gifted with construction skills, but rising water is a different matter. I clearly are unaware of that particular elevation.
as a middle aged guy that has already done everything the wrong way at least twice... good job i wont lecture. and as a frequent winter driver, it totally sucks when your vehicle turns into a toboggan. all you can do is hold on and hope for the best
After I stained my fence using a brush, I saw on RUclips that some people dip the boards in stain before mounting them. This would cover the edges better, but the boards would need to be cut to length before mounting. Matt does a much better job of fence building that I ever could.
Matt, you need to put some sort of caps on your fence post to prevent accelerated deter action from water. There are metal (think tin) caps made expressly for that purpose.
Backing up a trailer is always good for some laughs. Well done in not jack-knifing and hitting your fence/wall. Great video, makes for a wonderful Sunday morning.
Backed around a curve in the road with no spotter (or assuming so since Kristen was behind the camera)… I’d agree pretty damn good job, especially for someone who isn’t a “good trailer backer upper.” 😂
What could possibly go wrong? Getting it done the GBU way. Don't let fear get in the way. I love it. Scary. But I love it. Good luck in your new area. Cheers
You 2 are amazing! Don’t listen to the naysayers and negative comments. There are many ways to do many things and I’m always confident that you’ve thought it through before doing whatever the project is. Love your videos, I look forward to watching every Sunday before work.
Haters gonna hate Uncle Matty.... no matter what! lol Can't wait to see the farm relocate! Don't forget hydro-electric. Now that your "down by the river". Superior to solar imo. Looking good and I think your fence is FINE! 🤙🔱
From someone who lives on a farm in Texas... When it comes time to buy a tractor, get one bigger than you think you'll need and thank me later. Tractors are a good spot to stretch your budget because you can use them for WAY more than you'd imagine. Get one with a front end loader too.
You guys need a sponsorship from toyota!!!! That was crazy!!! Maybe the most sketch thing I've seen in awhile... so happy everything worked out. Toyota should give you a tundra just because you showed how capable that little 4 cylinder tacoma is!!! The fence and wall looks awesome!!! Cheers you guys are doing amazing things!!!
The fence is gorgeous! That trip through the gate and to the bottom of the hill pulling the trailer was a bit scary, but you did it!🎉🎉 Time to celebrate! Great work you two! Have a wonderful safe week!❤❤
If you cut the bottom of the fence in a 45 degree angle the rain water will drib off instead of sucking into the wood. That will make the fence last longer 😊
Wow, what a ride Bear just had.🙀 Love your fence. Don't listen to trolls. Glad you found a nice flat area for the RV & critters. Little by little you are getting things done. Good job! 💖👍🌴🌺🪴🌸🤗🇺🇸🐱
Great job folks. I was worried the whole time while watching the video. I watch people destroy their campers and recreation vehicle while staying in RV parks from backing or towing their equipment in the parks. The phase; "Come on back until you hear expensive sound" hurts everyone.
To inexpensively extend the life of your fence, dig a shallow trench a foot wide between the posts and fill with gravel up to the bottom edge of the boards, and design the trench to run out downhill when filled with rain. Then get epoxy and a roller and seal all the top cut exposed end grain of the boards. Your fence will thank you.
Wow, I am so jealous! You guys have such a beautiful and peaceful corner in nature in which to live, and you now have the privilege to enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of it every day!!! Congratulations on making it happen, Kristen and Matt! You are a really great team, and your personalities and talents compliment each other very well!
That piece of property you move the trailer to is relatively flat for a reason... overflow from the creek that becomes a river probably made that shelf, if not land subsidence! If you build... build on super stout pilings that are cross braced. I'm thinking you should have a Flood Survey Map to see what areas of your property are zoned for flood hazard. I'm just sayin'! I worked flood claims for 25 years with the N.F.I.P. (National Flood Insurance Program) all over the USA and Virgin Islands... Coastal, inland, mountains...I can't tell you how many times the insureds would tell me, "It's never, ever flooded here before!"
OMG you’re so brave taking that trailer down there. Knowing how much it rains, don’t think you’ll be able to take the pick-up down there every day. God bless and protect you both. Keep up the great job
I commented on this on Patreon already but forgot to say anything about your Better Help ad. You did great, Kristen. Communicated very clearly and articulately. And you never punched your fist into your hand, not even once! LOL
You just set a new world record with a Taco, a 2 wheel drive Taco and with a a sketchy hitch for that sized travel trailer no less…. My hat is off to you, good job!!👍👏👏👏
There is a simple trick to maneuvering an RV, just keep going until something sounds expensive. Also, the flat tire wrecked your stabilizer. If you put them down and that tire goes flat again it will get worse. Cordless drill and a socket can wind those jacks up in seconds.
Ahoy folks! I was gonna spew my usual input of attempted positivity, when i saw Mr. Tomlinson's very Good advice of sealing & protecting the top of your fence boards that were cut to uniformity upon completed installation. It's comments like his, you Truly •need•. Keep up the •Good• work Mighty Matt & "Kristien". 🙏🦉
Matt you did great on moving the rv, once again don’t pay any attention to the negative Nancy’s , bottom line is they are just envious of you both having a great place to live.
You're lucky, I'm amazed you didn't rip the bumper off the truck. The narrow entrance reminded me of these home boat builders who have to hire a crane to lift the completed boat out of their property. You didn't need one so I guess it's been a good week!
Looking good. I know that jelly gut feeling when the trailer was pushing you down the hill. It was why cigarettes were invented, Fireing squad and big trailers on muddy hills.
One thing I am sure you've both learned by now, you can never ever please everyone. So just please yourselves with your own ideas and let it be... Thumbs Up!
Nothing offensive watching you build fences. Oh Kristen, it looked like you was sitting on an outside toilet when you were telling us about that thing. Great bit of manoeuvring, Matt. Love the way nothing stops you both, great attitude to life. What happened to the dog. See ya next time x
Hey Matt I would put a little concrete slab where your wheels are And I would put Concrete, where your stabilizer jacks go to that will help with stabilization yall are doing great good luck
Had me on the edge of my seat the entire time but I was still cheering for you. The trimming and light are minimal damage you handled everything very well... Great job!
Hey Matty old boy...I can just hear the tropical environment sayin'..."hold my beer" as it anticipates the tasty snack your pine fence is gonna be! At least you're giving it your best! Carry on!
A short drone video to get an idea where you ended up parking that camper would be nice.
Yes, and one driving up to the entrance. Nice wall...
Matt place a batten on the top of the fence to stop water ingress on the end grain of the wood it will enhance your fence as well, great videos..
1000000% agree
In future.cut wood @ angle
Do this
Agree...
Chamfer and sand end grain before adding cap.
Concrete pad for the trailor so it doesnt sink into the clay in the future, and a Septic System large enough for a house and your MotorHome..
Way more exciting than sailing.. it's like sunday morning cartoons. Love you guys
Like Indiana Jones! Lol😂
Dumb and dummer
Love Matt’s Macho Man dissertations that make me laugh out loud and love Kris-ten’s able, bouncy, attitude that warms my heart. What a great pair of entertaining jungle tamers! Can’t get enough!
Shout out to the truck's bumper and that trailer ball for hangin on
It would have been ugly if it didn't!
oh come on...he had the "backing plate"...............i heard some creaking
yea, step bumper hitches are rated to what? 3k with a stabilizer system and i recall him mentioning that the trailer was near 7k
You need a trim to top off the fence, just a sealed 1" x 2" to protect from water ingress into the grain.
there's nothing like success ; amazing your rear bumper survived that load
Exactly and that no one got hurt.
I have never been so stressed watching someone else . Lol. I wanted to fast forward. So glad you made it. Location is amazing!
I’m going 🤮 from the stress watching.
I saw her face when Matt mentioned (an expensive) four wheel drive tractor. Priceless! LOL
Lol we need one😂😅
why didnt you help the poor dog.... @@SailingGoodBadandUgly
At this point, I know that there's no job or task in the world of DIY that Matt cannot handle. He is the Bob Ross of DIY. Great job|(s)!
I love it when Matt is taken over by his "Wing-It Wayne" alter-ego. Seriously though, nice job! You guys are awesome!
I don't care what ANYbody says, THAT fence looks professional. But you're right. When the hurricanes come they will tear up EVERYTHING. Fingers crossed. BTW my wife loved the shot of the beautiful chickens best. Happy trails.
Looks are often deceiving.
It does look nice however it’s going to have issues which is unfortunate
The Value of the property just went up $100%, looks Terrific. A lot more space for the camper good spot.
my only concern for the location.. and obviously i only speculate.. is that they are already mentioning the wet clay. when they hit the rainy season.. or hurricane season.. are they going to be under water?
Pro tip...when spraying stain someone should be following and back brushing. Works the stain into the wood so it will protect and last longer also evens the stain out...
Trust your own judgement with the fence, it's really easy to do it better from the couch. If anything, it's stronger than most people build, just stand back and admire your hard work guys.❤👍
Thanks!
A correct size socket on your drill motor will make quick work of those trailer jacks and stabilizers.
Knowing Matt, if he had the correct size, he would have used it.
Guys, I never thought I never thought building in the woods would be so entertaining. Believe it or not it’s much better than sailing. If you get a chance please talk about your neighbors, how far away do they live, friendly, crime, cops friendliness, etc.

Your fence looks great
Taco got the job done ✅
Matt, you truly are a Red Neck. Love your videos. North Dakota appreciates you!
One of your best vids. Funny, tense, a few casualties, happy ending and colorful play by play going downhill.
Haters gonna hate Uncle Matty.... no matter what! lol Can't wait to see the farm relocate! Don't forget hydro-electric. Now that your "down by the river". Superior to solar imo. Looking good and I think your fence is FINE! 🤙🔱

Nice job getting err moved. Gotta feel amazing being off the road down in the property
Man, you're ready to tow a Boeing 747 down the hill with Taco Blanco! You guys are the best! 💪👏🤟
If you cut the bottom of the fence in a 45 degree angle the rain water will drib off instead of sucking into the wood. That will make the fence last longer 😊

Matt you did great moving the trailer backed up great. Kristin Got a bit dramatic over nothing but good job.
nice job moving the camper you lucked out no real damage and got where you wanted it keep up the good work, also every one hit the like
To inexpensively extend the life of your fence, dig a shallow trench a foot wide between the posts and fill with gravel up to the bottom edge of the boards, and design the trench to run out downhill when filled with rain. The most hilarious episode yet !
OMG you’re so brave taking that trailer down there. Knowing how much it rains, don’t think you’ll be able to take the pick-up down there every day. God bless and protect you both. Keep up the great job
You can get one of those 4X4 mules. My sister has one, she also has a property by that rain forest, and the mule works perfectly
I commented on this on Patreon already but forgot to say anything about your Better Help ad. You did great, Kristen. Communicated very clearly and articulately. And you never punched your fist into your hand, not even once! LOL

Fence looks great. When I built my boat, everybody had opinions on how I should have done it different.
There is a simple trick to maneuvering an RV, just keep going until something sounds expensive. Also, the flat tire wrecked your stabilizer. If you put them down and that tire goes flat again it will get worse. Cordless drill and a socket can wind those jacks up in seconds.
Man i love this channel, good job. Also i kinda like it when the haters comment it just reminds me to never be that guy.

I know you guys can’t save them all but that little dog looked as if it was having a hard time getting around. 😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤
MAtt, you are KILLING ME Bro with how you re towing that trailer, OMG!
My new favorite homestead channel.
Hope you feel blessed each day brother
That was exiting guys, and y'all did a fantastic job of moving the travel trailer.
Matt you did great on moving the rv, once again don’t pay any attention to the negative Nancy’s , bottom line is they are just envious of you both having a great place to live.

Need to seal along the top of your fence to stop water ingress
I seen y'all do some pretty crazy stuff before, but I can't believe you got away with that. See you next week.
The stabilizers bent when the tires deflated. They're not meant to take a large load like a jack.
Congratulations on getting the trailer moved to your flat land! Buena suerte! 👍🏻
Good job with the move. Love the fence. Cactus will look perfect
Nothing offensive watching you build fences. Oh Kristen, it looked like you was sitting on an outside toilet when you were telling us about that thing. Great bit of manoeuvring, Matt. Love the way nothing stops you both, great attitude to life. What happened to the dog. See ya next time x

Its like watching that movie "The big trailer " with Lucy and Ricky........
I wish I had counted the back bends Matt did painting. I'm always sore after your videos. You two are in great shape!
It is a handsome-looking fence, to be sure!
Your perseverance pays off
Had me on the edge of my seat the entire time but I was still cheering for you. The trimming and light are minimal damage you handled everything very well... Great job!
Hey, Matty old boy. You missed a spot😅😊😮😅😂 You two have a great day and Cheers 🥃
I watch a bunch of these sailing channels and u guys r number one on my list. Always excited to see what Farmer Matty is up to every Sunday, lol.
On a positive note, GREAT JOB !
Hey Matty old boy...I can just hear the tropical environment sayin'..."hold my beer" as it anticipates the tasty snack your pine fence is gonna be! At least you're giving it your best! Carry on!
great job you two. I think staying down below away from the road will be totally different. You will hear sounds you haven't heard before
You both are ambitious. Everything looks great
Matt, you continue to amaze me. Moving the rv tung was absolutely remarkable. RUclips needs to pay you for the suspense.
That entrance looks so fancy shmanshy I like it
I was holding my breath for a while moving the trailer, but WOO HOO you did it!!
You guys are great. You got me to enjoy watching 9 minutes of moving a trailer!!!
