My father designed the original finger pricker as an engineer working at the Medical Research Council at Oxford University in the early 80s. He then went on to design the first diabetic pen (now known as the EpiPen). Very proud of his achievements.

I'm 60 and 3 years ago I had a physical. When I was about to leave, my Dr. asked how long my legs have been hurting. I was surprised because I had not told him anything about it. I chalked it up to getting older. I said how did you know? He said my vitD was almost depleted an I had to be feeling it in my legs. My wife and I strted taking a supplement. So thankful to my Dr. Who knew?

Other reasons for this wave lasting longer could be when the first wave peaked we were just entering summer, and another reason that may affect things is the second wave has hit after the population has had the best part of a year of being locked down and their for have less robust health.

Casedemic with PCR tests being horribly inaccurate. Death rates indicate normal death rates for cancers ,alzheimers etc is way down. People going to die get in on hospital or have it on them and are picked up by tests even though not the real killer.

Unfortunately the blood sample was put in the wrong chamber, John. The blood goes in the Square chamber above the one the lady put her sample in. The round chamber is for the buffer fluid. I only put this comment on, so everyone doesn't copy this method. Regards

You can say that again! He was totally ignored in Parliament with Jo Churchill claiming there is not enough evidence and that more trials are needed! It is cheap and safe but she would rather allow people to die until the trial is concluded in the spring. I hope that she is called to account for her advice once the trials prove it's effectiveness. Or maybe they are not giving sufficient doses on the trial.

Good news in my area of UK, we're now going above government recommendations. Most people wear their masks on the pavement & are maintaining distance on the pavement by using drives as pedestrian passing bays. Although suburbia there's a strong community spirit. The short encouraging chat across the main road, a simple "How are you & your family?" does a lot to keep spirits up.

There must be something else to this. Both Zoe and government testing indicates a huge decline in cases over the same timeframe (25% reduction or more per week). Could it be that the new variant is both more transmissible, but also less likely to cause symptoms?

The REACT test video has a mistake in it at about 26:55. Do not use it as a tutorial! The drop of blood should go in the middle S sample well and not the bottom B buffer well.
Could I just point out John the blood should go in the square shaped well marked S and the buffer liquid goes in the circular well marked B. I did this myself last night. I dont know if it would make any difference to the overall out come of the test but thought it may do and was worth pointing out. Might I add I watch your videos every night and really enjoy the information you provide I myself have increased my dose of Vit D to 3000 a day and all my family.

I took part in the antigen study being talked about here (in mid November), my youngest son took part in mid January and my husband did the antibody test two days ago. Both tests were easy to do - step by step instructions were included. I urge anyone asked to do these tests to do so.

One thing that I have noticed in the first minute of the video where Dr. Campbell pointed out that the 1st reaction was a survey looking at virus pathogen prevalence in humans and therefore the amount of disease. Now correct me if I am wrong but even if there is a specific amount of coronavirus pathogen within the body it can not be assumed that a person has a disease. As far as I know for such diagnosis there should be a specific measure which I think is yet not established or in more traditional ways it should be determined by a medical doctor if someone is sick. Just having virus pathogens in the body does not mean that you can be diagnosed with the disease . Could someone elaborate on this please?
Everyone I ask about their Vitamin D intake just looks blank and says “isn’t it multivitamins”? Yes, 400 IU usually, virtually everyone should be taking ten times that. I don’t understand why progressive countries don’t increase the recommended amount, then multi-Vitamin producers would have to increase it.

Just double check where the blood sample goes - I did mine the other day and I'm sure it went in the second port marked S - a lot of others on here have commented thats how they did it too so the video could be the wrong or right way! Not sure how much difference it makes

it might not be effective at preventing infection but it is still 100% protective against hospitalisation. What this mean is; if Efficacy is low, say below 70%, then government cannot reach "herd immunity", even if 100% of population got the vaccine... this is bad news for government, meaning they cannot end Covid-19.
The Germans are blaming the EU commission for penny-pinching when it came to investing in vaccines whilst pouring massive amounts of money into the economic recovery fund. Van der Leyen used to be German Minister for Defence and failed to have the army supplied with sufficient equipment of acceptable standard, so many Germans say she should never have been put in charge of procuring vaccines. They also say that the protection of health and welfare of citizens is a national task by law and should not have been delegated to the EU. They want to see someone take responsibility for this disaster and so far everyone has been putting the blame on someone else. Some Germans say the UK are reaping the first benefits from leaving the EU and the Germans ought to follow. Most Germans would rather have the Biontech Pfizer vaccine as it seems to have a very high efficacy, some even say they would decline the Astra Zeneca if they were offered it. The question is:- Do a few million people die because we make and take a vaccine or do 100 million die, like in 1918 when we were not able to make AND use a vaccine. If 100% of vaccinated people contract Covid, they recover, become "immune" and mostly without hospitalization. In other news Covid can never be eradicated, it will be like the virus that caused the 1918 pandemic, now called the H1N1 virus, just become a normal virus in our environment. He has already called on the authorities to look seriously at it. Unless and until NICE approve it there's not much more he can do. It cannot be prescribed without authorisation from NICE.

Just watched your presentation 28th Jan 2021, which I am extremely grateful for. Your information and delivery seems to be the only way I can get honest and true information on the progress of the pandemic. There is one thing however I feel I need to point out. The video that was kindly sent to you demonstrating how to do the test for antibodies, was incorrect. The sample of blood should have been put in the square receptacle of the tester and not in the bottom circular receptacle. As I have also taken part in this survey, it is clearly shown in the instruction booklet. This is not to criticise but to insure other viewers don't make a similar mistake when doing the test. Am wondering if it world be worth me getting an antigen test... I had a 'cold' (fever, cough, malaise, etc.) in March and was looking at my pulse with the oximeter... and noticed my O2 was 84 (normally 98). Ended up using my spirometer, my inhaler, and emergency inhaler to get it up above 90. The interesting thing was that when it was 84 I didn't notice any shortness of breath. Knowing what I do now am wondering if I've already had it.
Can we get information re the AZ vaccine in the over 65’s. Germany has suggested it is not given to this group, as it is untested for its efficacy. Interesting to find out how it is doing in the UK in this group...
This view is disputed by UK scientists advising our Gov't. Check out reports on the BBC. And my understanding is that over 65's were included in AZ 's clinical trials and they showed good immune response.
@@londoncalling8121 the problem is that very few people over 65 were recruited for the AstraZeneca trial, and also recruited later in the trials. the UK scientists know that and are assuming the response will be the same as in younger people. The German scientists prefer not to assume and do not think there is enough information behind the efficacy to the over 65 group.

It wouldn't make sense when this cohort are at highest risk and the EU sure seems keen to get their mitts on the AZ vaccine nonetheless. I don't know how much time you have, but this online lecture talks about the way mRNA vaccines have been developed and how the genome of the virus has changed over the course of this pandemic. I’m shocked you’ve shared this data from the react study after it being discredited by kings college London. The react group didn’t gather data during December when the cases were high meaning they skipped from November to January missing vital data.
I'm not surprised.. he last discussed ivermectin in early December based on one study done in October when there were a total of 30 studies available. Now there are 53. Bangladesh, population 165 million, is using ivermectin.. yesterday they had a total of 17 deaths.

Also why did he pick react1 study instead react2 , which talks about reinfections and shows that reinfections after natural infection is less than 5% which means it's better than those so called vaccines.
The changes due to mutation can be looked at like trying a key in a lock, a perfectly cut key works every time, an OK cut key requires you to wiggle it to get it to work sometimes...
I have just done the antibody study test and my instructions showed that the blood sample should be in the square recess and the two drops of liquid should be in the lower round recess. The video that you showed indicated the lady putting both the blood and the drops in the lower round recess. I am not sure how significant this is, but I think it would be helpful if you clarified this to potentially avoid misleading information. It may be that Imperial College are using two different versions of the test, but clarification would be helpful. If it is helpful to others considering taking the vaccine, I had my first jab two days ago (Oxford-Astraveneca) and have had no reaction to it other than a very very slight ache at the injection site which is only noticeable with pressure on the site.

Everyone was exposed several times in 2019 before we even knew what was going on. Wasn't till we got a conflicting/immune escaping variant from that US which was "delivered" to Wuhan that it started to cause problems that could no longer be papered over.

I'm 60 and 3 years ago I had a physical. When I was about to leave, my Dr. asked how long my legs have been hurting. I was surprised because I had not told him anything about it. I chalked it up to getting older. I said how did you know? He said my vitD was almost depleted an I had to be feeling it in my legs. My wife and I strted taking a supplement. So thankful to my Dr. Who knew?

It's not good in Sweden at the moment. Fortunately we are seeing a slight decrease in cases. I'm working from home since 10 month, so Sweden actually has a kind of lockdown. On vaccination we are just as slow as the rest of EU. The cut backs from Pfizer and AstraZeneca will of course hit us as well. Some elderly have now gotten their vaccination. We are starting with the most vulnerable + medical staff.

"Where test results do not correspond with the clinical presentation, a new specimen should be taken and retested using the same or different NAT technology". ie, positive PCR test without clinical signs ("asympmtomatic") needs further testing to be a 'case'

If you check out Fig 1 in this study, it's very obvious how the cycle threshold links to the possibility of actually isolating/culturing a virus. It's shocking that only now we got to the point that a cycle threshold value should be provided with a positive results, to indicate how likely one is infectious or not... I am pretty sure it is still not being done, and Dr. Campbell's presented study refers still to cases with any PCR positive results, which is why it is completely unreliable and likely very misleading data.... Even the inventor of the PCR test has said many times that this is a research and not diagnostic tool..

Other reasons for this wave lasting longer could be when the first wave peaked we were just entering summer, and another reason that may affect things is the second wave has hit after the population has had the best part of a year of being locked down and their for have less robust health.

Casedemic with PCR tests being horribly inaccurate.
Death rates indicate normal death rates for cancers ,alzheimers etc is way down.

Unfortunately the blood sample was put in the wrong chamber, John. The blood goes in the Square chamber above the one the lady put her sample in. The round chamber is for the buffer fluid. I only put this comment on, so everyone doesn't copy this method. Regards

Good news in my area of UK, we're now going above government recommendations. Most people wear their masks on the pavement & are maintaining distance on the pavement by using drives as pedestrian passing bays. Although suburbia there's a strong community spirit. The short encouraging chat across the main road, a simple "How are you & your family?" does a lot to keep spirits up.

The REACT test video has a mistake in it at about 26:55. Do not use it as a tutorial! The drop of blood should go in the middle S sample well and not the bottom B buffer well.

Could I just point out John the blood should go in the square shaped well marked S and the buffer liquid goes in the circular well marked B. I did this myself last night. I dont know if it would make any difference to the overall out come of the test but thought it may do and was worth pointing out. Might I add I watch your videos every night and really enjoy the information you provide I myself have increased my dose of Vit D to 3000 a day and all my family.

I took part in the antigen study being talked about here (in mid November), my youngest son took part in mid January and my husband did the antibody test two days ago. Both tests were easy to do - step by step instructions were included. I urge anyone asked to do these tests to do so.

One thing that I have noticed in the first minute of the video where Dr. Campbell pointed out that the 1st reaction was a survey looking at virus pathogen prevalence in humans and therefore the amount of disease. Now correct me if I am wrong but even if there is a specific amount of coronavirus pathogen within the body it can not be assumed that a person has a disease. As far as I know for such diagnosis there should be a specific measure which I think is yet not established or in more traditional ways it should be determined by a medical doctor if someone is sick. Just having virus pathogens in the body does not mean that you can be diagnosed with the disease . Could someone elaborate on this please?

Everyone I ask about their Vitamin D intake just looks blank and says “isn’t it multivitamins”? Yes, 400 IU usually, virtually everyone should be taking ten times that. I don’t understand why progressive countries don’t increase the recommended amount, then multi-Vitamin producers would have to increase it.
But K2 is needed as well,with vitamin D and I can’t find info on ratios. I take 5000 ius of vit D a day🤔

it might not be effective at preventing infection but it is still 100% protective against hospitalisation. What this mean is; if Efficacy is low, say below 70%, then government cannot reach "herd immunity", even if 100% of population got the vaccine... this is bad news for government, meaning they cannot end Covid-19.

The Germans are blaming the EU commission for penny-pinching when it came to investing in vaccines whilst pouring massive amounts of money into the economic recovery fund. (2,7 bn versus 750 bn) The whole pandemic has been misjudged by the EU, too few vaccines were ordered too late and there seems to have been unrelenting bargaining for the lowest possible prices, as confirmed by the German CEO of Biontech. Also, the contract with Astra Zeneca has been poorly worded and does not give any guarantees as to a specific time-schedule within which delivery has to take place. Van der Leyen used to be German Minister for Defence and failed to have the army supplied with sufficient equipment of acceptable standard, so many Germans say she should never have been put in charge of procuring vaccines. They also say that the protection of health and welfare of citizens is a national task by law and should not have been delegated to the EU. They want to see someone take responsibility for this disaster and so far everyone has been putting the blame on someone else. Some Germans say the UK are reaping the first benefits from leaving the EU and the Germans ought to follow.
Most Germans would rather have the Biontech Pfizer vaccine as it seems to have a very high efficacy, some even say they would decline the Astra Zeneca if they were offered it. So far, the greatest disappointment has been that Biontech Pfizer was developed in Germany, received considerable state subsidies, is being produced in Belgium (apart from the US) and from there it is being exported to the rest of the world, like Israel and UK - and whilst young people in Israel are already being vaccinated, the group of the >80 in Germany will not have been completely vaccinated until the beginning of April because there is a shortage of vaccine. Germans also suspect that France vetoed a larger order from PfizerBiontech because they wanted to support their own Sanofi, whose vaccine development has failed, and the EU was also ordering from Curevac, which is a German company.
So, in short, Germans are angry at EU politicians because of incompetence and lack of judgement, foresight or transparency.

The question is:- Do a few million people die because we make and take a vaccine or do 100 million die, like in 1918 when we were not able to make AND use a vaccine. If 100% of vaccinated people contract Covid, they recover, become "immune" and mostly without hospitalization. In other news Covid can never be eradicated, it will be like the virus that caused the 1918 pandemic, now called the H1N1 virus, just become a normal virus in our environment. He has already called on the authorities to look seriously at it. Unless and until NICE approve it there's not much more he can do. It cannot be prescribed without authorisation from NICE.

Just watched your presentation 28th Jan 2021, which I am extremely grateful for. Your information and delivery seems to be the only way I can get honest and true information on the progress of the pandemic. There is one thing however I feel I need to point out. The video that was kindly sent to you demonstrating how to do the test for antibodies, was incorrect. The sample of blood should have been put in the square receptacle of the tester and not in the bottom circular receptacle. As I have also taken part in this survey, it is clearly shown in the instruction booklet. This is not to criticise but to insure other viewers don't make a similar mistake when doing the test. Am wondering if it world be worth me getting an antigen test... I had a 'cold' (fever, cough, malaise, etc.) in March and was looking at my pulse with the oximeter... and noticed my O2 was 84 (normally 98). Ended up using my spirometer, my inhaler, and emergency inhaler to get it up above 90. The interesting thing was that when it was 84 I didn't notice any shortness of breath. Knowing what I do now am wondering if I've already had it.
Can we get information re the AZ vaccine in the over 65’s. Germany has suggested it is not given to this group, as it is untested for its efficacy. Interesting to find out how it is doing in the UK in this group...
This view is disputed by UK scientists advising our Gov't. Check out reports on the BBC. And my understanding is that over 65's were included in AZ 's clinical trials and they showed good immune response.
@@londoncalling8121 the problem is that very few people over 65 were recruited for the AstraZeneca trial, and also recruited later in the trials. the UK scientists know that and are assuming the response will be the same as in younger people. The German scientists prefer not to assume and do not think there is enough information behind the efficacy to the over 65 group.

It wouldn't make sense when this cohort are at highest risk and the EU sure seems keen to get their mitts on the AZ vaccine nonetheless. I don't know how much time you have, but this online lecture talks about the way mRNA vaccines have been developed and how the genome of the virus has changed over the course of this pandemic. I’m shocked you’ve shared this data from the react study after it being discredited by kings college London. The react group didn’t gather data during December when the cases were high meaning they skipped from November to January missing vital data.
I'm not surprised.. he last discussed ivermectin in early December based on one study done in October when there were a total of 30 studies available. Now there are 53. Bangladesh, population 165 million, is using ivermectin.. yesterday they had a total of 17 deaths.

Also why did he pick react1 study instead react2 , which talks about reinfections and shows that reinfections after natural infection is less than 5% which means it's better than those so called vaccines.
The changes due to mutation can be looked at like trying a key in a lock, a perfectly cut key works every time, an OK cut key requires you to wiggle it to get it to work sometimes...

I have just done the antibody study test and my instructions showed that the blood sample should be in the square recess and the two drops of liquid should be in the lower round recess. The video that you showed indicated the lady putting both the blood and the drops in the lower round recess. I am not sure how significant this is, but I think it would be helpful if you clarified this to potentially avoid misleading information. It may be that Imperial College are using two different versions of the test, but clarification would be helpful.
If it is helpful to others considering taking the vaccine, I had my first jab two days ago (Oxford-Astraveneca) and have had no reaction to it other than a very very slight ache at the injection site which is only noticeable with pressure on the site.
NHS volunteers are being actively sought for REACT 2 post vaccination - I’m volunteering. It will be interesting to see the findings.

Methods: All SARS-CoV-2 laboratory-confirmed cases with at least one PCR positive swab that is ≥45 days after a first-positive swab were individually investigated for evidence of reinfection, and classified as showing strong, good, some, or weak/no evidence for reinfection. Viral genome sequencing of the paired first-positive and reinfection viral specimens was conducted to confirm reinfection. Risk and incidence rate of reinfection were estimated.
Results: Out of 133,266 laboratory-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 cases, 243 persons (0.18%) had at least one subsequent positive swab ≥45 days after the first-positive swab. Of these, 54 cases (22.2%) had strong or good evidence for reinfection. Median time between first and reinfection swab was 64.5 days (range: 45-129). Twenty-three of the 54 cases (42.6%) were diagnosed at a health facility suggesting presence of symptoms, while 31 (57.4%) were identified incidentally through random testing campaigns/surveys or contact tracing. Only one person was hospitalized at time of reinfection, but was discharged the next day. No deaths were recorded. Viral genome sequencing confirmed four reinfections out of 12 cases with available genetic evidence. Reinfection risk was estimated at 0.02% (95% CI: 0.01-0.02%) and reinfection incidence rate at 0.36 (95% CI: 0.28-0.47) per 10,000 person-weeks.
Conclusions: SARS-CoV-2 reinfection can occur but is a rare phenomenon suggestive of protective immunity against reinfection that lasts for at least a few months post primary infection.
