Hi there. i was really happy seeing fj cruiser having solid axle on it. im obsess of swapping IFS to SAS on my fj cruiser. but the only thing holding me up is the question of what solid axle do i need . i really appreciate if you could gave me a brand or axle where it came off. Thank you.
You ever get scared of scratching or fkning up your car? kuzz im thinking of buying eather a fj or a 4runner and idk if i should buy like a 90s 4runner or a 2005+ fj/4runner? i heard the fjs are really big inside like a hummer are they?

You prolly know some people I know :) I'm a California kid now, but Murple FJs Unite, FTW!!! I've taken my doors off on a few runs recently, and WOOOOW, "I can see clearly now!" You've got mud, and we've got dust, so prepare to get dirty one way or another when you take em off.
the fj's are a lot bigger inside than what they look, i bought one 4 years ago, and i wouldnt trade it for anything, just wish i had the money to do the solid axle swap like this guy did

Ok guys I'd like some input from those who know a bit more than me about MUD tires. I'm caught between Yokohama MTs ...OR... GoodRich Km2s for my jeep. Any thoughts ??????? I'm about to flip a coin on this matter...
Well, since he probably had to re-gear due to larger tires but everything else shouldn't make a difference. So, maybe 10-15 mph less than srock fj. So, you will never notice the difference.

Thanks for the comment. Now I have to free up the rear. The 5" of lift uses up most of the travel. Going to 3 link the rear next.

Goodyear MTR with kevlar sidewalls. Great off road.A bit noisy on the highway.
I don't know about the Yokohamas but I know the KM2s are great, they are a little loud, but the are great.

It's a shame you had to do a SAS to make that rig a reat toyota. IFS BAD Solid axle good. Someone tell toyota to build them right from the start.
It's bad enough that the fj has one solid axle, but adding another! You just completely ruined a beautiful machine!
