2-22-2024 - Thunderstorm With WICKED Frequent Lightning And Small Hail!

I knew this storm was coming but I didn't know how it would be, so I waited on it to get close before I put the camera outside. The lightning was very intense with this storm. It was a squall-line riding on a cold-front. As it approached you could see the wall-cloud and everything, even though it was dark out. The wind wasn't as crazy as I thought it would be but it did get a little windy (30-40mph wind). I changed some settings on my camera and I think you can now see more of what's going on with the storms at night, let me know what you think in the comments! There was also some small hail with this storm as you can hear in the video, it wasn't anything big enough to prompt a severe thunderstorm warning though. Just after 3:40 you can also hear a Nathan Airchime K5LA train horn in the distance.

You picked the perfect spot to set up the camera. It's both gorgeous and eerie watching the storm slowly creep up at the horizon. Was that a gustnado around the center, at horizon at about 4:23?

I try to give you all the best view. 😎 Yes it's very eery, the quiet before the storm, knowing it's coming straight at me and seeing all the lightning and stuff, that really gets me excited! And I'm not sure what that funnel thing was, I didn't see that until I edited the video, the camera sees better in the dark than I can, whatever that was it creeped me out lol.
