32nd annual Atlantic City Library Kwanzaa celebration

The Universal African Dance and Drum Ensemble performed at the Atlantic City Free Public Library’s 32nd annual Kwanzaa celebration Dec. 28, 2019.
The group describes its appearances as “edutainment,” educating spectators with inspirational and positive entertainment. In addition to learning about Kwanzaa, spectators are treated to an electrifying blend of ancestral dancing, intensified drumming and stilt walking.
The Camden-based group, which dresses in traditional African costumes, has performed throughout the country at many prestigious events.
