I like the art for the thumbnail! Nice playing too! The whistle looks and sounds good. A thicker wall in a cylindrical bore is usually hard to keep both octaves in tune with each other. So it takes skilled craftsmanship to make them well tuned.
Well, you will be the cause of my bankruptcy. I went ahead and bought a tunable brass from Rui Gomes’s Etsy page since it’s a few dollars cheaper. Also, I went back and listened to some of your videos over the past year. It appears that the Lir whistle is your current favorite… at least it is for most of your recordings for tutorials. So I went ahead and ordered one from BigWhistle. I think I have a problem.
I got both the Lir and the Sopros in on the same day! I love the sound of both these whistles, but I cannot seem to put down the Sopros. Thanks for this review. The sound of the whistle on your video is exactly how the whistle sounds in real life… with the exception of my whistle playing is cruddy as compared to yours. As you mentioned, the volume is definitely louder than some of my other ones, but it does not feel loud. I love this whistle! Keep doing what you do. Thank you for the honest review of these.

I’m not familiar with Whistles. It reminds me of a Recorder which was the first instrument I ever played. I like the sound of this better than a wood Recorder I think.

Sounds great, great price, and it’s in tune. Been thinking about getting a brass or aluminum whistle for my next one, maybe I’ll go with this!
