i'm definitely into a lot of different art forms. i personally use music as an outlet but drawing is (in my opinion) the definition of easy to learn hard to master. literally any drawing IS a drawing but being good at it is all in the mind. it's not about dexterity or skill, it's not about developing your muscles. it's about learning to know what you need to do and developing your mental mmmuscles(?) feel like i should try getting into it but then again being a jack of all trades is one of my biggest mistakes in life so far

I've been drawing every single day for one and a half year now and at some points, I really felt stuck. But your channel and especially this video got me inspired and stoked for drawing again, at least for some time :)

Awesome episode! I’ve been overwhelmed with trying to learn all the fundamentals and this reminded me that I need to stop worrying and just tackle what I’m avoiding. Also reminded me to have fun, because I start to take drawing way too seriously if I’m not careful. I want to try more typography in my drawings now too.

Hey man, just found your channel, you make some great content and you are a really talented artist.
You mentioned in your video that charcoal pencils are stubby and you dont get really fine lines with them. So i have a tip for you, shave off some of the wood on the pencil exposing more of the charcoal (you can even shave off some of the charcoal) with an xacto knife. Then rub the exposed charcoal on some sandpaper until you achieve your desired sharpness. You can get some really fine details this way. You might already know this, but I thought I would share in case you didn't, because it makes a HUGE difference for charcoal drawing. Peace!

Sorry Sean, but this days I’m preparing a video (about a girl that makes massages in water :--) I want to show what she is working while the massage with the same white letters style that you used... is there any advice to to it or an after effects template to move the letters? Thanksss
Laura Mesones Casto hey Laura, there is no template for it, I draw it myself then redraw it. I’m glad you like it but I would encourage you to think about the feeling and purpose of your video and what you could create lettering style wise that would emphasise your story in your own way :)

how do you keep your sketchbook clean with all those materials touching each other?
I'll apply fixative spray on charcoal drawings when theyre done to stop those going everywhere. Other stuff doesn't spread too much, a little mess overtime is inevitable
