@@woptobrson417 it's all in the tune. No trans kits to install anymore. All electronically controlled. My regular drive mode drives smooth. Push the shifter over into sports mode and the shifts firm up nicely and gears are held longer. Then bump the stick into manual mode and it will not up shift until redline. So if I'm rolling at 40-50 i can put it into 2nd gear and just hammer it and it will run out each gear before shifting and i don't have to do anything.

It’s a pretty good motor but once you get over the 120k miles most get a lifter tick so at some point your more then likely have to do lifters, which isn’t that bad. They also have a dod delete but it’s easy to fix with a tune etc. but overall it’s holds up pretty well
Did you have to remove/ replace anything with the DOD to support a more aggressive cam? I've been looking into it for my gt but I want to know what I'm getting into before I just throw a new pair of heads on it
Yeah your going need to do the dod delete, ls7 lifters, dual valve spring and all that. I have a video I made about a year ago discussing all the parts
You're better off getting a 5th gen camaro buddy, trust me. However one of these will likely be my next daily. My current daily is getting up there and don't intend on using my SS as a daily.

Get a retune to have the trans shift at redline in manual mode. Works awesome for rolls.

That's so weird watching that. In Australia in Manual mode we push forward to change down gear and back to change up.

From 60 I do Manual 3rd gear punch it, slap it to auto then back to sport. Then hold on. My 60-100 in like 3 seconds

Rennen Crl 70. 20x10 275 tire in the rear. 20x8.5 245 in front. You will need rear fenders rolled

@@302mir4 the later 09s had 5 less horsepower. They're known as the 09.5. Early 09s are the same power as 08 but no bluetooth. 09.5 has 2 extra cats.

Hell no. I got my 09 with less than 100k on the dash for 12k.
I got mine 3 days ago with 130K for 7500. It needs an alignment and a windshield.
