Tbh, while Ross and Rachel were somewhat decent individually (as much as they could be for a sitcom), together they probably became some of the most toxic characters on the show. One of his biggest problems is that he can never get over his pride, at least not until it’s too late. Remember when he moved into his apartment building and refused to pay the money. He shouldn’t have had to give 100 dollars to someone he didn’t know but he should’ve made a compromise like chipping into the party where he would get to know his neighbors and get on their good side or just give the man half of the hundred. 50 bucks isn’t a lot of money for him especially if it helps him in the long run. Instead he spent more than he was asked to give on another party to be petty and it heavily backfired.
Yess cause Rachel never played the victim, she literally balded Ross's girlfriend cause she knew that would sabotage their relationship, she forced ross to stay single and not date anyone when she was pregnant just because she didn't "like it", and ross was so sweet he agreed to her demand, she literally blamed it on ross on the night they had Emma saying he made the first move lying when she knew very well that she made the first move on him, but lied to everyone just to one up Ross and humiliate him in front of his friends, and now all of a sudden people are talking like she's a perfect little angel who had no faults and blaming the whole thing on ross, when the truth is they both were equally toxic and immature
The Icelandic ad I got… matched a lot with this video (basically men saying how other men shouldn’t be doing shit to girls like guilt tripping, sent dps to females without acceptance and such)

It's like all my life everyone has always told me 'You're a shoe!', 'You're a shoe!', 'You're a shoe!" *Everybody turns to listen* "And then today I just stopped and I said 'What if I don't want to be a shoe? What if I want to be a purse, you know? O-or, or a hat?!'" *Pause* "No, I don't want you to buy me a hat-!" ""-IT'S A METAPHOR, DADDY!"

I liked the episode where her sister Jill comes to visit her and says her dad told her to go and get some life advice from the one daughter he is actually proud of. That said everything that needed to be said. Rachel started off very spoiled but turned herself into a someone. And both parents were inspired by her, thats why her mother copied her and decided to leave 'her Barry' because he wasn't making her happy.
Faryal Shams season 2 ep 1 is the episode where Rachel is sad that Ross has a girlfriend. The episode is even called the one with Ross’s new girlfriend. Paulo does not even show up.
Alright I'll say it- -Rachel wasn't a feminist icon (as there were times she has acted toxic towards other women/men) -Instead she was an "independent woman" icon (like just look at how she grew up from being a spoilt brat to an ambitious woman)

I thought that was the case until I watched the show (best show I've ever watched, helped me with my mental health 😭) . “No uterus, no opinion”
I love this quote
Doesn’t “feminism” stand for equality? It implies that men’s opinions don’t matter. And you love it. TF
💯
@@Iongines men’s opinions don’t matter on someone’s human rights. Opinions don’t matter when it comes to human rights, esp when u dont support them

well, it's not very feminist. It’s actually pretty belittling and would contribute to toxic ideas about masculinity which isn't feminist at all
@@usedits4468 can u explain the joke i didn’t understand it
@@aarushiagarwal3700 it’s a sex joke about not being able to get an erection. It happens sometimes and men might be insecure about it. Her saying “its not that common and it is a big deal” would make it even worse. So it’s just contributing to the idea that men have to be “on it” and ready to go 24/7 which isn’t feminist at all. A feminist would say it’s totally ok for that to happen sometimes and nothing to be ashamed of.
@@usedits4468 aaahhh okay thank you! well i’d have to take ross’ side on that but otherwise rachel was way too good for ross he was toxic
Tbh, while Ross and Rachel were somewhat decent individually (as much as they could be for a sitcom), together they probably became some of the most toxic characters on the show. In real life, this relationship would either end in an ugly divorce, which would honestly be a blessing because the alternative is them being a toxic couple until they die lol.
Yup. Ross had his bas qualities but he wouldn't be nearly as hated if the writers didn't push the Ross/Rachel route. Their "love" made them worse and more unbearable the longer it was on the screen. The goddamn definition of toxic relationship lol.
Rachel deserved waayy better than Ross. She and Joey should've had a better character growth and ended up together❤
So true
joey might have loved her but rachel is just a women who gives in to her dumb pleasures and regrets everything. when joey proposed she said "yes" 🙄

Right? Everyone hated them at the time of release but I rewatched their episodes and... Yes, it comes from nowhere but who cares? It's adorable and goofy and lacks the toxicity of Ross/Rachel. Besides, sometimes the impulsive and weird decisions turn out to be the best for us. :)
A lot of this is supposed to be so funny but I’m actually so proud of and admire Rachel and some of these moments make me tear up.

I think she had a wonderful character development and I really liked her standing her ground :)
She was my favorite character and in every single video she became a independent woman and ofc she loved it Monica was right “welcome to the real world, it sucks you will love it” and Rachel is loving it. She’s a icon and a 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
Thank you! I'm so sick of people complaining she's spoiled. I don't think they realize... Rachel was raised to be spoiled, but she decided on her own that she didn't want that for herself. She may like nice things, but she worked hard to find a job where she can support her own needs and likes. She kept trying to push past her comfort zone to be something other than the spoiled princess she would've otherwise been. By the end of it, she was independent, self-sufficient, successful, and a loving mother, too.
“I wore out my first copy when I was with you” 👏👏

THAT LAST LINE OF THE VIDEO 😭 so iconic
she's a literal queen

irl, ross and rachel would have never worked out, but i think everyone enjoyed them getting back together at the end. istg all these comments about them not being together are ruining friends for me
rachel had the best growth.
Ross is so bad and play the victim the whole series it's unbelievable
One of his biggest problems is that he can never get over his pride, at least not until it’s too late. Remember when he moved into his apartment building and refused to pay the money. He shouldn’t have had to give 100 dollars to someone he didn’t know but he should’ve made a compromise like chipping into the party where he would get to know his neighbors and get on their good side or just give the man half of the hundred. 50 bucks isn’t a lot of money for him especially if it helps him in the long run. Instead he spent more than he was asked to give on another party to be petty and it heavily backfired.
Yess cause Rachel never played the victim, she literally balded Ross's girlfriend cause she knew that would sabotage their relationship, she forced ross to stay single and not date anyone when she was pregnant just because she didn't "like it", and ross was so sweet he agreed to her demand, she literally blamed it on ross on the night they had Emma saying he made the first move lying when she knew very well that she made the first move on him, but lied to everyone just to one up Ross and humiliate him in front of his friends, and now all of a sudden people are talking like she's a perfect little angel who had no faults and blaming the whole thing on ross, when the truth is they both were equally toxic and immature
regardless of whether you like her or not, rachel green could definately be deemed as a 90s feminist icon!
PERIOD my queen
The Icelandic ad I got… matched a lot with this video (basically men saying how other men shouldn’t be doing shit to girls like guilt tripping, sent dps to females without acceptance and such)
"No uterus no opinion" we stan our RadFem queen
Rachel is my favorite in the show
"Come on, Daddy, listen to me!

Joey would've never asked her to stay. He would've gone to Paris with her.

I know it’s not the point but 2:39 they’re so cute 🥰 I didn’t know they were matching
What annoys about 2:56 is that he asks JOEY. Any other man would have said no hahaha

Alright I'll say it-
-Rachel wasn't a feminist icon (as there were times she has acted toxic towards other women/men)

Haha they are blind under their fake feminist illusion.
We don't mention those logical arguments here.
I'm so, so glad that Rachel is getting her due praise. She's the most hated character on Friends and people always blame her for Ross' failed relationships. I thought that was the case until I watched the show (best show I've ever watched, helped me with my mental health 😭) . I've always admired her for these reasons: her becoming independent even though she could live off a much more comfortable life off her dad's money.
Rachel shouldn't have settled for Ross.... She could find much secure guy

3:10 to be fair, Mark did make a move after Rachel and Ross broke up
She's a pushover.
Monica is a better representative.
Phoebe is best representative as she had to deal with every worse things possible.
When people are discussing whether Rachel should have gone to Paris or not, they always name Ross as the reason, but am I the only one who just didn't want Rachel to leave New York, because of the group as a whole? Like I couldn't imagine them splitting up and not living so close to each other.
That’s how the show ended tho.. Joey went to Hollywood, chandler and Monica moved moved, Phoebe got married and started her life, and Ross and Rachel would’ve been divorced by now lol
@@MEDSZ13.08 Not in my world. Rachel and Ross bought a house near Monica and Chandler's and their kids are good friends. The whole group meets up regularly.

@@luciaradulescu2431 all I'm noticing this whole comment section belittling Ross for behaving that way to that nanny, and talking about his toxic masculinity when he's literally grown that way, but everyone justifies Rachel's spoilt brattiness behaviour by saying she was brought up that way, when it'd the sane case for Ross
@@nikitagigigeorge8572 oh right that’s true, tbh I kind of forgot about his dad but yeah that makes sense because toxic masculinity often transfers from generation to generation and if Rachel or others would’ve tried to talk to him instead of fight then it would’ve probably been better
