@@moisepicard195 - Wow! I hope you are living a God-blessed life... I saw your comment with the other person who was equating French with Kreyòl languages. I'm curious though - you say you are Haitian - is that by birth? On Haitian soil? Or, are you Haitian because of your heritage, being a descendant of Haitian parents? I ask this because, from what I have recently learned about Haitian history, Haiti was the first country in this hemisphere to have the indigenous/original people KICK OUT of their country the imperialistic, opportunistic, colonial Europeans (the FRENCH in this case) so that they could return to their own freedom, and return to THEIR own Indigenous culture, RIGHT? I just have 3 more questions (please don't be offended - I'm just trying to understand where your thinking/French pride is coming from): 1) Why would a Haitian want to be "proud of" a heritage and culture that is NOT their own, from people (Europeans/Anglos) who only came to Haiti to subjugate, enslave and USE the native people they encountered? 2) Do you know the full story of Haitian history and the history of European "colonialism" (which was nothing more than a hostile TAKEOVER of the riches, resources and the HUEman beings who lived in this hemisphere for no other purpose than to feed their GREED and debauchery) 3) Last question: Have you wondered why Haitian Kreyòl is not exactly the same as the "French" language? It's much like the different between what I choose to call "American" language vs "English" language. I'm not promoting the idea that people "should" hate the French (we have TOOOOOO much hate, discrimination and strife in this world), but - - it just seems strange to me to want to cling to people who were previously your nation's OPPRESSORS. - - And I will take things one step further to say, that if given the chance, Europeans would slide right back into their oppressive ways if given the chance to do it again! I don't hate Europeans - - I just have no love for "their ways" no matter how dormant their evils appear to be.
@@RoZeeBabyy yes... is that ok to use as well? I just said 7 sentences about myself in Hatian Creole in front of my class in a minute and 30 seconds and I only made 6 mistakes! My students timed me! They did it in Spanish. :)
Hi there, I was wondering if you could help me, I wanted to know how to spell Self Concept in Creole? ,as I asked my grandparents and they wasn't sure. I would very much appreciate the help. Thank you
I just started learning Kreyòl using a free app from the Google Play store. I AM NOBODY'S EXPERT by ANY means - but I have observed that the language gives me the impression that Haitians put OTHERS before themselves. By doing that, I am assuming only, that "Self Concept" is a foreign concept that is more of a European, "self-centered" perspective vs the more humane and "OTHER-centered" concepts found among melanated people on this planet.
Lol American ppl are not asking how the weather is today some things you have to be American to really understand great lesson I work with Haitian ppl I want to learn a lil to be able to communicate
