Like imagine having a layout of potions in your alchemy lab, or an infirmary on a server with a cabinet of medicine. Potions could also be a somewhat customizable light source if they glow.
Considering that much of this update is about storytelling (new signs, cool new book storage) it's possible that archeology *might* also come, since it has a very historical aspect AND if the sniffer wins, which brings back extinct flora, the chances are even bigger!!
@@_veronica_r I hate how long they spend talking about random stuff like bro this why Nintendo directs r better they spend 3 to 8 seconds talking then take a look
The 1.20 update should be called the story update. A lot of the new ideas revolve around stories and adventures, whether it be documenting stories in new bookshelves, starting new stories with new default characters, or exploring on a raft or the back of the new camels, there seems to be a story to go along with everything. Not only that, but the addition of the Sniffer being an ancient mob that’s been brought back is a whole story on its own.
I think that they should port over the fancy cauldrons from Bedrock to Java. In Bedrock, you can actually put dyed water for dyeing armor in cauldrons. You can also put actual potions in them.
We NEED the ability to place banners and mark maps with them. That is so needed for exploration, *especially* if we are getting archeology and updating biomes
Really glad that Mojang took the criticism to keep not keep expectations super high, I could tell that trying to outdo previous updates was causing a lot of stress. It keeps our expectations more realistic, and keeps the Minecraft team more healthy. Wonderful work!
It also keeps the game incredibly dull… There’s some nice stuff revealed here but nothing worth any kind of real hype. Compared to something like Deep Rock galactic, which sees an update every 6 months that adds some really substantial content, all from a MUCH smaller team and IP, it’s kind of embarrassing.
@@reginlief1 note that they have to keep a massive community happy, deep rock does not. When your game is played by so many people you have to be careful what you put into the game
You should also update the libraries in the strongholds, so instead of the normal bookshelves, add the new bookshelves, and instead of chests with books, why not place the books in the booksheves then😉
Keep in mind everyone that this is only a very small part of the update since they announced that these are features that are already/almost done, they will most likely reveal the BIGGER features throughout the year which means we'll even maybe get to see the portal in the anchient city opening or get some changes revealing an even BIGGER secret!
@@perfectillusion7537 Yes. All people lie sometimes. Even though you lie *almost* all the time, doesn’t mean you lie *all* the time. So, maybe or maybe not. We don’t know yet.
Have you ever consider why they wouldn't do it? Have you ever experimented with how raids work in a swamp or a jungle? Try spawning a pillager on a 1-block-deep water block with a seagrass or try doing a raid in a jungle full of vines.
The bookshelf is a game changer for sure. I love the idea of having a storage location for different items. We should also be able to decorate the shelves as well. Like putting a Nether star on the shelf as a trophie.
@@spartanwarrior1321 the tuff golem was an item pedestal. sure, it displays an item like an item frame does, but it would've done it in a significantly different way. plus, it wouldve been able to have different carpets.
@@deadlyadder2330 based on what they showed us it was literally no different than displaying an item and temporarily moving at times, seems kind of like a nuisance more than a feature if you had them living in your house. Cool idea for like statues holding stuff but the golem looked kinda dumb rather than like an epic medieval type statue, which armor stands can already suffice for. I think the rascal was just a total last minute awful idea, not sure what sniffer really does but is cute and I like that more than anything
The bookshelves are my favorite part of this. I've literally wanted this for years. I have so much lore written in books in my games that i could finally save like this
love the interactive bookshelves, however it would be cool to use dye to colour books, to change the texture. great texture still, but the bright colour puts me off using it in my libraries. still amazing job! absolutely love the direction this update is going!
Coloring book and quils yes 100% But books only purpose is too enchant them.. Maybe the already enchanted books. So your important enchantments are easy to find.
It is 9 hours later and I cannot express enough how full my heart feels that the Sniffer will be added to the cast of the game. When the golem was eliminated I was shocked because at least from my context it had the strongest army next to the Sniffer. Maybe there will be a golem update down the line where both the tuff golem and copper golem are added kinda like the frog in the swamp update
Also I know the Glare had little to offer to the game overall, but I’d sell my soul for it to be added with a new ability. Glare and Sniffer hold a special place in my heart
I really want to see a forest update. I adore woodlans environments and I'd love to see all the forest biomes get big updates, especially the birch and roofed forests
I’m glad mojang is mature enough to learn their past mistakes. Those being the unreleased things from last season. I’m excited to be able to play with the almost finished updates announced in Minecraft live (here in a few days). With the camels I also hope to see a few changes to the desert (maybe changes to the desert temple, adding pyramids, and making desert wells useful). Edit(Mother I believe I am famous)
yes, they definitely are admitting their mistakes regarding the chat reporting update and are really listening to the community instead of closing their eyes and going lalala
It's definitely an over-correction if you ask me. Like, they could've said a couple of things that were still in development and not just the underwhelming things that are already done because it probably took an entire like, few hours to make?
I'd love to see a structure update where you update the dungeons fortresses strongholds they have never had a update and probably would add more storyline to the game
For the chiseled bookshelves, will the enchanted books glow while in the bookshelves too? It'd be really cool to have either a mixture of regular and glowing books on the shelves or essentially shiny bookshelves!

What I'm most impressed about the new skins is how seamlessly many of them fit in to steve and alex's general design aesthetic. They look almost like they were all made in one go
I’d like them more if they were more survival-like. Steve and alex wear basic shirts and pants with a rugged feel, but one of the new skins is just wearing a polo
i'm excited to see what the actual skins look like, especially since they recently update the steve and alex skins to make use of the second skin layer. what we were shown here was only the trailer versions, but hey, u can't rush game design!
you could go horse jousting while on the camel using tridents or do pvp style fights, there could be some cool unique armours for the camel to make them look cool
I am really worried about 1.20, but at the same time very excited. I think the update should be called The Diversity for All Update. This is because you are adding 4-5 topics (that we know of so far) that are entirely different from one another, other than being diverse. You could also add an update to the desert, as you already got all of the promised features in beta and already have been tested out thoroughly. Flowered cactuses could be nice with the oases and meerkats. Speaking about that, I have noticed that most of the mobs so far have started to get less mystical. I love the sniffer so far, and me and the community would love more like that. Of course, you don't need to do this Mojang, just keep making the updates that we all know and love and keep getting better. Take all of your time that your need, and don't rush. We want quality over rushed content and updates. Thanks.
I thought that was what they did with 1.19, they only revealed a little so they could add more features when they're polished. This was until it turned out the number of features we got was fewer than those shown.
@@ardeiwann thats because it was a catchup update. They've already confirmed that have a lot more underway that they're waiting to show until its almost done.
Those camels have so much personality, I love that two people can sit on them The animations are great, and I wonder if you could pet chests on them. It would be awesome if you could
I'd like old mob revisit/touch up in this update. the Warden, the Camel move with so much life, and have little quirks like the moving ears and winging tail, and resting animation. Cows, Pigs, Chickens, Wolves, Zombies, Skeletons and all else needs to get this level of detail too because now the old mobs feel more static and unpolished compared to these new ones.
It’s awesome that they did learn from last year and only showed stuff that they’re definitely adding in the next update and not encouraging false hope.
I think everyone at Mojang is stressed because they are afraid of getting backlash from certain things. Trust me, the Minecraft community is ferocious and so is the GD community.
Id love to see an update for the desserts so the camel can get a warm welcome to a whole new dessert witw new cacti, updated pyramids or builds and new structures that are involved to lore
To me it seems like the creativity update. It's nice to get those things we all think of having but probably won't be added. Bamboo blocks and bookshelf's you can use as storage are things I've always wanted but figured would never happen
@@----S. Nah, the idea of painting wood was kind of rejected so I can't really see this coming. I do think if they added a green bamboo version, it would be perfect.
1.20 is a disappointed update, totally trash. They give the things that the players don't even needed. Give some new boss or an objective to make minecraft more challenging not casual for kid. We want action not bamboo hut and nerd bookshelf
I’m glad they are showing things and adding stuff that they can do and not making promises they can’t keep It also feels like the classic updates of adding a bunch of stuff without a clear theme
The fact were gonna get all of this stuff they showed in just a few days is amazing. Can't wait to ride on camels into the sunset and trap my friends with Redstone contraptions using books xD. I also am very excited about the new bamboo wood, and rafts. Love the rafts lol
The thing i like about the 1.13 update and above is the animations! The Warden walking around swinging his body back and forward cause he cant see, the attention to detail on the Warden is alot! And i already fell in love with the Camel, and its animation
It would be nice if the bamboo blocks start green and turn yellow with time, like copper blocks, but a bit shorter time. That way you have another block that shows time passing by in your structures, and also relistic since freshly hewn bamboo crafts always start green.
I'm very glad that they're trying to be humble about these things and make sure they can actually deliver what they're talking about. It shows they actually listen to the community, and I hope it's easier on them too.
Yes, a water splash will make the game where the world is made out of blocks, and zombies roam around together with exploding green d***s totally realistic. .. I do want the splash too though.
Not gonna lie, if you added a transportation update, that could help. Like maybe adding backpacks and zip lines or something, also a furniture update like chairs and such, could help motivate builders to try out a new style of building with different combinations, also the coloring would use dyes. It could be very interesting so the community could make new build styles for kitchens, although I already said something like this.
Animals i would like to see - Penguin, killer whale, crocodile, ostrich, Grizzly bear, vulture, giant octopus, lion. elephant, rhino, monkey, blue whale, all dungeons exclusive mobs.
@@xopeal4699 this is what’s DONE as of October 15th Only finished features nothing whatsoever that was also planned but not confirmed They’re adding stuff that the community asks for by reducing the set in stone commitments and opening it up to be a freeform thing
I look forward to the unseen features. I do think a bigger feature could be welcome within. Nothing huge and difficult to develop, but maybe a desert update whilst we are adding camels, welcoming oases palms (with dates) and meerkats could spawn in both deserts and savannas to make them feel unique
The reason for dates, is desert communities have cultivated them over history, and coconuts only appear in beaches, meaning this would be inaccurate culturally and environmentally
@@dmurray2978 I'm not saying I hate all fantasy. I love the sniffer for example. I don't want to encourage the expulsion of all fantasy. As a Filipino, I am so proud that they have made the bamboo wood type. It resembles the Bahay Kubo or the mini-house made out of bamboo. The camels are representing the Middle East. The chiseled bookshelves are also very useful for more redstone projects. Can't wait what the community makes with these new features. I'm so happy about this update.
@@Cristiano_km No
Ancient update i call it
oooh that makes sense

They should shoot for updates like every 2 years. Currently this pace of updates makes no sense.
It also keeps the game incredibly dull…
There’s some nice stuff revealed here but nothing worth any kind of real hype.
Compared to something like Deep Rock galactic, which sees an update every 6 months that adds some really substantial content, all from a MUCH smaller team and IP, it’s kind of embarrassing.

Maybe they could finnaly add a jungle village because of the build with Bambu update. It could also be a bit different from other villages

Thanks.
