As a Catholic I believe in the concept of mercy and so I flip a coin irl. Heads they plead for mercy tails they remain obstinate in their rebellion. The ones who ask got mercy I give them a 2nd chance by making them an unlanded knight. They'll never receive land but they'll be alive until they die in battle. Tails well....off with their head
I agree . If I were a peasant rebel and you just recruited me in your inner circle , to me it looks like you just gave me another chance to assassinate you. You’re a very smart player and very hot man 👍🏼
@@medievalthebucket5248 No they did not. I appreciate medieval misconceptions as much as the next guy, it's funny, but shouldn't be equated to actual history. Every serf had legal protection under the manorial court that convened every 3 weeks, and that court included representatves of the king. We have records of noblemen hanged after being found guilty of offenses (like rhymes with grape) or lost their lands after excessive brutality.
A peasant rebellion once successfully besieged my capital, killed my genius and strong heir and stole one of my artifacts. The worst thing is that you can’t get the artifact back from the leader EVEN when you imprison him. Like tf why? You can only get it back if you release him and then ether steal or duel him for the artifact.
Omg the amount of rage I would have had dude. Also that seems like it should be reported as a bug to paradox almost because that doesn’t make any sense? Like if you’re in my jail I should be able to take my stuff back thanks.
I just lost an entire run after one reign because a Peasant uprising killed my character and my grandson is 18, infirm, no brothers, and sterile. Peasants can fucking die.
Way I figure it, the artefact was stolen and then either immediately sold for war funds, or hidden somewhere, knowing your forces were closing in. Then, in 800 years time, it's found by pure chance by a lucky guy with a metal detector ;)
After he's imprisoned as a prisoner of war, you can recruit him, throw in a hook if you can. Now he's your courtier, you can imprison him again (hook might become handy to increase success chance), this time as a regular prisoner, you can banish him from your land. Then you get all his belongings including gold and all artifacts.
I sometimes will keep them and recruit them! Especially if they have good skills but this one time they pissed me off so bad from back to back rebellions I was like nah not today. You DIE today. Lol
I usually keep them unless they've got a bad personality. They're useful, even you don't use them as commanders, you can marry them to your kids, or marry their kids to your kids since they've got good stats
Like many others say I recruit the peasants. Tbh I feel bad for em, especially when they are just asking for a tax break. On the other hand, noble faction leaders get stripped of their titles and executed. FAFO
Honestly I'm doing the same after all the comments lol And 100% yes to the noble stuff. They should know better. You have it all but I can take it all away buddy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
On one hand they got good stats to be a marshal or a knight but on the other hand they rise up against me and deserve to have their head removed. Decisions decisions
i usually recruit them because they good knights an in te early/middle game they sometimes even good generals, but i guess forced to lead an army from the kingdom u hate and revolted against, it´s not much better:D
I do the same thing only difference is that I wait for 10 years cause I forget that there are PEASANTS! I say again, MERE PEASANTS IN MY DUNGEON FOR ROYALTY! So I execute them for trespassing into my dungeon.
I never want to lose piety so I just throw every single person that revolted against me in the dungeons, or just forget about them and eventually see people that were imprisoned for 50 years or something.
"Seeya!" Would be utterly terrifying as a royal councilor to hear from their liege as they calmly casually executing peasants that were unhappy with their Liege's rule. And to me it's equally as hilarious. "Seeya!" Ahahahahahahaha
Same! I do have one exception though: I like to save the strongest of them and put them in house arrest so I can hold them for life. Typically I like to make the tallest peasant leader my executioner and I give them the metal face mask to mark them.
usually I look at their stats and traits and if they have anything desirable ill recruit them if not they get tortured first then executed unless their random is high enough to be worth letting them go
If I rule small tribe and/or am just starting up a campaign with a small court, I always recruit those peasant leaders and make sure they like me (sway or gifts) because they make good commanders or knights. But if I am well of in a campaign, they just go to the chopping block.
Actually what you should do is release em for a hook then recruit them because if you check their stats they are op specially prowess so they make amazing op knights. My reactto Every revolt is "Oh free op knights " lol
I always make them knights. Honestly they are damn good fighters. If they do well enough I give them a barony that they can pass on to children if they have them.
When there is peasant uprisings and won those war, it is an decent chance that the peasant leader have high martial or prowess. So i recruit them as knight rather than execute them.
I literally imprison my vassals who have too much power to seize their titles and hand them out to my family, and right after I torture them and proceed to execute and devour them. Oh yeah and I do that to their families too, I’ve ruined countless amounts of houses because I was hungry
If you are a peasant leader rebelling against me, there are only two outcomes. You either become the executioner or get executed. PS, Still waiting for Dithmarschen Peasant Rebellion and Republics in general in CK3, so i can start harvesting skulls from each Dynasty in the game, like in CK2.
Totally justified.
If they wanted human rights, they should not have made the mistake of being born as peasants.
Exactly! It's their fault for being filth.
They weren’t born that way. It was a choice.
Does yzma or whatever her name is form Emperors New Groove say something like that?
They may lack human rights, but they do have good prowess. This is why I always forcibly recruit the peasants.
You have to human to have human rights in the first place
Just an ordinary day in the life of a middle ages lord
Executed guy is lucky
"Honey the poors are angry again!"
‘If they dont have bread let them eat cake’ vibes
the peasant leaders are actually the only prisoners i always recruit, since they have good very marshall + prowess
This must be the CK3 version of “You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”
Bad idea, any1 can use them to assassinate you
Makes sense, quell the rebellion, give them amnesty by sparing their lives
As a Catholic I believe in the concept of mercy and so I flip a coin irl. Heads they plead for mercy tails they remain obstinate in their rebellion. It's such a good thing that u r not a noble lady in the middle ages 🤣
Jesus dude
Yea cuz I don't think the peasants would really appreciate me killing off their leaders lmao
@@DreeblesOfficial i mean basically every nobleman did that
Cersei Lannister over here

Sounds french... bouta get uno reverse card
Oh god not the guillotine revolution 😭
Them French chop their king head off because they ran out of bread 🍞🪓

They need to learn their place 😂
Oh no lol
When peasants rise up i always recruit their leader and employ him as marshal.
Sir the presents are revolting.
I know they stink on ice.
"I get annoyed when the peasants rise up, so I usually execute them." - Queen Marie Antoinette playing CK3
I usually wipe entire Houses if one of their members rebel.
So many excellent free commanders wasted ☹️
I sometimes will keep them and recruit them! Especially if they have good skills but this one time they pissed me off so bad from back to back rebellions I was like nah not today. You DIE today. Lol
I wish they were that good in CK2, the "broken spirits" thingy can be really anoying when I see a potential 20+ commander in my dungeon.
I usually keep them unless they've got a bad personality. They're useful, even you don't use them as commanders, you can marry them to your kids, or marry their kids to your kids since they've got good stats
I'd rather take the dread tbh.
Mannnn I remember I had 3 Vassals try and declare war on me. I felt like Negan when I had them all imprisoned and lined them up for execution 💀
Damn, now I want to play ck3 again 😅😂
" Let them eat cake " said the Princess.
" Off with her head " responded the peasants.

Well that’s rather tame for CK terms… what’s your opinion on Incest tho?
She's a CK3 player, so at least it's a yes, and at most all, her relatives have had her children.
U mean devine marrage?
So ruthless! I love it lol 😂
I have never had one of your videos get recommend to me but after what I just saw I think I’m in love...
Lord 1: “The peasants are revolting.”
Lord 2: “Yes but what are they doing?”
Lord 1: “No sir, they’re leading an uprising.”
“Oh”
If CK3 truly is anything like real life, then I 100% understand why inbreeding, murder, and war was so common. That shit is convenient!
I always recruit them, they have great stats, plus it’s fun to have them lead forces to crush future rebellions.
"It is said that the people are revolting"
"You said it, they stink on ice"
I love it when they rebel. With "battlefield looters" legacy it just means more money
..... and the more the merrier
NOOOO! THE PEASANT LEADERS ARE GREAT GENERALS 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭
I knoooow I've learned lesson 😭
If they have good prowess I like to recruit them as knights.
I hire them all the time. They make excellent marshals or knights.
They cant be upsetti and rise up if they dead
I loved peasant revolts in my most recent pagan Norse Russia campaign. Free sacrifice. No angry family to worry about.
I mean... Guy had it coming, he went up against a lord
I go one step further and execute my rebelling vassals, its cathartic! (I play byzantium alot)
Village ye are, and village ye shall remain.
I always recruit them… I’m tight on cash fr
POV you're a medieval lord
Imagine not torturing them for free Intrigue/Prowess.
Imagine not just recruiting them and make them your new Marshall.
i usually recruit them because they good knights an in te early/middle game they sometimes even good generals, but i guess forced to lead an army from the kingdom u hate and revolted against, it´s not much better:D
I recruit them, they generally have high prowess and martial skills.
I hire them, they are usually good champions
Always recruit them. Unless they are different religiion zealous then they will probably just end up murdering you. Off with their head!
Same. Unless I need knights, these leaders usually have good prowess. They only get the one free pass tho..
I do the same thing only difference is that I wait for 10 years cause I forget that there are PEASANTS! I say again, MERE PEASANTS IN MY DUNGEON FOR ROYALTY! So I execute them for trespassing into my dungeon.
It’s the casual, “See ya” for me! 😂
I actually usually recruit the leaders as knights they’re usually super high prowess
just ck3 things
*stares at Marie Antoinette's head*
uhhhhhhhhh
Unless you are a 'Kind' ruler, who would get stress from executions, so instead you just let them rot in your dungeon.
Honestly they generally have good prowess and martial do theyre good knights which I feel is hilarious way to punish them
King Henry the 8th approves
I never want to lose piety so I just throw every single person that revolted against me in the dungeons, or just forget about them and eventually see people that were imprisoned for 50 years or something.
They usually have such good prowess and command points that I end up knighting them.
I get my best Knights from the peasant uprisings
Monarch-maxxing
peasants are the sub5's
Sheeesh😂
They usually have really good martial stats so if you can recruit them after capture, they’ll increase control in the province they rose up in 💀
"Seeya!" Would be utterly terrifying as a royal councilor to hear from their liege as they calmly casually executing peasants that were unhappy with their Liege's rule. And to me it's equally as hilarious. "Seeya!" Ahahahahahahaha
I most usually covert them, recruit them then gove them lands. Meritocracy I guess
I actually love it
Most of the time
Peasants leaders make for a good champion or commander
Historically accurate.
Let them eat cake vibes
Treat me like a peasant 😩
Nice! You got a new sub
Meeee toooo thank god im not alone in that😅👌
Fucked up? No…. Just a creative solution

Good mama when peasants rise up their heads roll down lol
One thing I like to do is make sure my buddies wife is not lonely when he goes on his pilgrimages. Gotta makes sure there marriage is a happy one
Same! I do have one exception though: I like to save the strongest of them and put them in house arrest so I can hold them for life. Typically I like to make the tallest peasant leader my executioner and I give them the metal face mask to mark them.
I always recruit them as a commander of it's early game.
usually I look at their stats and traits and if they have anything desirable ill recruit them if not they get tortured first then executed unless their random is high enough to be worth letting them go
I like to imprison the peasant leader and then recruit them upon release… along with a weak hook. Then I use them as a commander or a marshal.
I generally recruit em. They make good knights.
That’s art of war shit
Thts wht I do as well, they really have good martial points
Danm, thats dope
I D O T H A T B A B I E S 😇
I do this when vassals rebel
I also execute the peasant leaders, but not if it would bring stress to my character
I usually recruit them as a knight
The peasent leader is an excellent marshal if you need one
give them cake
I normally blind them then let them go lol
I do the same thing. Thinking about it I kill half or just over half my prisoners and I noticed I almost always have a plot to kill someone.
I usually recruit the leader since they're good a lot of the time
If I rule small tribe and/or am just starting up a campaign with a small court, I always recruit those peasant leaders and make sure they like me (sway or gifts) because they make good commanders or knights. But if I am well of in a campaign, they just go to the chopping block.

Same except I torture them 1st lol but they usually make good Commanders & Faris'
I always make them knights. Honestly they are damn good fighters. If they do well enough I give them a barony that they can pass on to children if they have them.
Lol "Help help! I'm being repressed!"
I just release them because I don't like ending lives unless it adds plot development
Everytime sister!!!
Forgot to torture them though
Paesants are the true enemy !😂
