- In my attempt to stop the Redback spider infestation I have removed multiple spiders and cleaned another neighbours council trash bins. I apply white lithium grease to stop the spiders from setting up new spider nests. Some spider go into the spider tank, some become ant food and one Redback spider escapes and goes missing. In this video you can learn how to identify these deadly spiders and their nests, and understand ways to stopping these spiders from living around council bins. The design of the large trash bins is the perfect home for Redback spiders who can easily adapt to urban environments to breed up in massive numbers if control methods are not employed. I also find a new mature Redback spider under my Toyota car. Almost a year since I had the other huge Redback there in 2017.
The Redback spider (Latrodectus hasseltii) is a species of venomous spider indigenous to Australia. It is a member of the cosmopolitan genus Latrodectus, the widow spiders. The adult female is easily recognised by her spherical black body with a prominent red stripe on the upper side of her abdomen and an hourglass-shaped red/orange streak on the underside. Females have a body length of about 10 millimetres (0.4 in), while the male is much smaller, being only 3-4 mm (0.12-0.16 in) long. Mainly nocturnal, the female Redback lives in an untidy web in a warm sheltered location, commonly near or inside human residences. It preys on insects, spiders and small vertebrates that become ensnared in its web. It kills its prey by injecting a complex venom through its two fangs when it bites, before wrapping them in silk and sucking out the liquefied insides. Male spiders and spiderlings often live on the periphery of the female spiders' web and steal leftovers. Other species of spider and parasitoid wasps prey on this species. The Redback is one of few arachnids which usually display sexual cannibalism while mating. The sperm is then stored in the spermathecae, organs of the female reproductive tract, and can be used up to two years later to fertilise several clutches of eggs. Each clutch averages 250 eggs and is housed in a round white silken egg sac. The Redback spider has a widespread distribution in Australia, and inadvertent introductions have led to established colonies in New Zealand, Japan, and in greenhouses in Belgium.
The redback is one of the few spider species that can be seriously harmful to humans, and its preferred habitat has led it to being responsible for the large majority of serious spider bites in Australia.

There are a number of high profile producers who initiated the advertiser backlash. In 2016 PewDiePie went too far with his Hitler and anti Jew videos that it seems so many have totally forgotten about. Disney through Maker Studios severed connection to PewDiePie and the knock on effect of this started to alarm advertisers to look at where their ad money was being spent on RUclips. Sadly the rest is history, RUclips has never recovered from the actions of a few rogue producers looking for attention with videos that should never be seen. There are plenty of web articles on this.
I blame the Wall Street Journal for their spliced propaganda hit piece removing all context from Pewdiepie's video, and RUclips for being either spineless or greedy and caving to old media. Old media is at war with the internet/new media because they're dying and losing money as a result of people losing interest in digesting the trash shown on TV. Everyone/everything is fair game when it comes to comedy, either everything is funny or nothing is. Having ads run on a satirically offensive video on RUclips is no different than the ads running on TV during commercial breaks of South Park, Family Guy etc... As a lot of the big advertisers like "Coke" do run their ads among programs that can be considered extremely offensive by any particular one group of people, they don't care about "ethics" or peoples "feelings", all they care about is exposure and making as much money as possible. It's not Pewdiepies fault, he is just a scapegoat.
The part that fries me is if I was doing the style of videos PewDiePie was producing my channel would be flagged and closed, yet PewDiePie and some other rogue producers get a slap on the wrist and told don't do that again. I can only assume RUclips make too much money from them to have their channels unplugged. The advertiser boycott is really bad, it's no longer viable to produce rubbish content for this site now. RUclips used to be amazing, sadly all thats gone now for both the viewer and producers.
Most of Pewd's content is relatively tame compared to what you can find on here, but yeah, I hear ya. There's a lot of double standards and favouritism on RUclips, also it doesn't help that the bots are terrible at distinguishing whats appropriate and what is not, so it's pretty much good luck getting a strike/false copyright claim removed for any content creator with a small following. Like your videos, you definitely don't deserve having to tip toe to try and avoid demonetization. Hope things get better.
Lets get real, he did a series of videos that were not tame and offended a number of people, that kicked off the nightmare we have today where nearly everyone has been shafted by the advertisers leaving the site. Maybe whats been worse is the way RUclips tried to filter and censor whats being seen. Now we have a RUclips that no one likes. It's a total train wreck now.

Spiders have always scared me - and while we thankfully don't have Redbacks in Missouri (USA), we do have the infamous Brown Recluse. That said, watching your videos has helped me to understand more about spiders and spider control to a point where I've been able to overcome such fears (at least enough to kill the spiders that end up in my home haha). So thank you for your amazing content and please don't stop your channel anytime soon - you do a lot of outstanding work!

Honestly, have you thought about voice over work? I don't like spiders(but T's are good), they make me feel like a prickly sort of fear reflex. Listening to your voice while you explain everything helps though? It's just fun and entertaining! Learning while being entertained is the best.

Portia spiders are native to Australia a type of jumping spider that eats any other spider that is of comparable size but they hunt them they don't straight up brawl with them.
Keep that in mind i believe Assassin spiders of which there are also many types (i believe some live in Australia) ... only eat other spiders.
They can basically walk right up to them and kill them they are very weird looking with really long necks.

We've got spiders here in GA, but they mostly keep to themselves in the surrounding trees.
Deadly tarantula girl, another RUclipsr, let a whole jar of black widows loose her her spider room (it has tons of tarantulas and other exotics). Omg, what if a black widow bit one of her animals?? She had them everywhere. I think she’s a little crazy, but according to her, she never got bit. I just kept thinking about the animals, not so much her.
