I know it's supposed to look like there's more variety when they have several mixed styles on a page, but I prefer them sorted and even better if you give a table of contents at the front so I can flip right to what I want.
I love all the squares together, so interesting how something you never thought would look good, looks amazing. Regarding Owls, about 10 years ago we found a baby owl who had fallen out of its nest in a wind storm. It was ADORABLE!!! We took it to a bird rescue place as we didn’t know how to care for it, and they sent us two updates, one, about a year later saying they were releasing it into the wild as it was grown and fine. I will always remember those huuuuge eyes and the fluffy baby feathers.
Oh my goodness I bet it was beyond adorable!! Not many people can say they've seen a wild baby owl, I'm so jealous! Thank goodness you were there to save that poor baby, and how nice of them to update you. I'm so happy it survived!

I had seen these books mentioned in the RCG Group. THANK YOU so so much for sharing..... glad I saw them before buying. They are certainly not my cup of tea (I say drinking my coffee LOL) LOVE LOVE LOVE your additions to you B & B glue book. SO SO PRETTY. I renewed my subscription after letting it go for a while. Another great video! Your big apple reminds me of Gayle Agostinelli. Pretty sure you've mentioned her before. Anyway, she has this big roadrunner with a snake in it's mouth that she always passes up when making ephemera. Your apple always makes me think of that.

Nicole I looked back at your videos and it was in your Big Random Glue Book and the page is the one you put in the cover of your video with the red Batman, red lady with ball of yarn, etc.
They should've gone with two different books, one with the cutesy cartoon style and gnomes and one with the grittier type that you'd typically expect for the genre of true crime or detective novels, etc. Get more of each, make them into separate books, and I think a lot more people would be happy.
Also, what on earth is going on with all the weirdly posing girlish women? I agree that they look like they're in costumes instead of actually being officers and to have so many of them, to me, is odd.
I definitely expected more crime images and less of the cartoon looking images. I agree….I’m not sure where the gnomes come in. I haven’t decided if I am going to keep the books or not. The previews looked so promising! There are a few good images, but I am not sure if they are worth keeping for the price of them. 😢
I was in a show by Gilbert & Sullivan, called Ruddigore, and for some reason that I’ve long since forgotten, the heroine kept popping up with an apple in her hand, saying:”this apple”….. every time your apple shows its rosy self, I think:”this apple” 🍎 🍎
I drink my tea with nothing in it either, and I’m from up East originally. All my cousins drink milk in theirs, as did my mother. I do drink flavored creamer in my coffee though. 🤷🏻♀️

Yes, definitely seeing more and more AI-generated images in these self-published books. Those two books are full of them. Pretty sure those are self-published through Amazon KDP. As someone who has published regularly with Amazon, I recognize the format. Thanks for your reviews of these type of books.
Yes they are self-published Amazon KDP, I've worked with these authors in the past. I have a lot of their books that I do love, but these totally missed the mark from this True Crime Fan.
I love all of the background images in both books. They don't all scream "crime scene" to me, but many of them are like abandoned buildings, which I love. I would have rather seen much more horror, gore, blood related images in the ephemera book. xoxo
I know! I'm so incredibly bummed about these books. I was so excited! Oh well, there are lots of other authors with this subject that I can try out, so I will do some homework and see if I can't find some more to review. I may just get an Etsy Kit, there are some awesome ones there. Hope you and your Mom are doing well, and that shes recovering well! HUGS!!!

What a bummer that the collage books weren't right for you. I'm going to get the scrapbook paper one because I have a use for large scene images but the ephemera book is a no for me as well. Caffeine was one of the odd things on my DNA testing. My genetics make me not receptive to it like others. When I am struggling with insomnia I drink an energy drink. I don't drink coffee and don't drink tea anymore. But I do like a soda and energy drink. They are a big tool for me to keep level. If that makes sense. Wonder if we share the odd DNA gene. The longer I follow, the more I think we were separated at birth.

Those books were not good. (then again, I don't like most of the collage books available online haha) I'm the exact same way with caffeine, it doesn't give me energy at all. So funny, I started sing no shrubs a few seconds before you did. Great minds think alike! Fun video (except you being scared by Jackson hehe). I'm not going to mention the apple...
I don't get the gnomes either! Or the cartoonish style ones. I would've been extremely disappointed. Plus when you cut them out, the other side is unusable! If half of the books are unusable then they are worth half the value!

I had a good weekend I found 2 books one from 1952and 1955 from a yard sale the pictures were nice and I got 12 glue sticks for a dollar they were the purple glue sticks that I don’t like but for a dollar why not🫤

I'm a crime series also. These 2 books not for me. Too cartoonist. I would return both of them. Disappointing.
